Flocculation of fermented broth with 1,3 -propanediol using component B of natural clarifier-Ⅱ was studied. Firstly, single factor tests and orthogonal tests were carried out. The results showed the main factors which influenced the flocculation and the optimal conditions were: pH6.0, flocculant B 0.01g/L , NaCl 0g/L, and the FR was 95.97% . The following results by filtration experiments, compared with the sample without pretreatment, indicated that the filtration speed of the flocculated sample was improved dramatically, and the weights of net and dry filter cakes were increased by 41.13% and 51.88% , respectively. Electrodialysis experiments showed that flocculation could accelerate desalting process, and could take the place of centrifugal pretreatment when it combined with the filtration.

Objective To explore the possible role of B7 family cell surface costimulatory molecules and their receptors in immunopathogenesis in children with asthma.Methods Forty children with acute exacerbation of asthma and 36 cases of age-matched healthy children were enrolled in the study.Interferon(IFN-?),IFN-? and lipopolysaccharide(LPS),phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate and ionomycin or zero were used to stimulate peripheral blood mononuclear cells,flow cytometry was used to detect B7-1 and B7-2,B7H1,B7DC and B7H expression on CD14+ cells;CD4+ cells were separated by immune beads and stimulated by phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate and ionomycin and fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to detect CD28,cytotoxic lymphocyte associated antigen-4(CTLA-4),programmed death-1(PD-1)and inducible costimulator(ICOS) mRNA expression.Results 1.The levels of B7-1 and B7-2 expression in children with asthma were higher than those of healthy control group [B7-1:(6.68?3.97)% vs(1.74?0.69)%;B7-2:(10.87?5.99)% vs(1.58?0.75)% Pa

To study the effects of alkaloids from Coptidis Rhizoma on low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) mRNA expression and antihyperlipedemic levels. The LDLR mRNA expression were detected by real time fluorescence quantitative PCR, and the levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL-c) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) in serum were measured at the first and last examination. The results show that, after the drug treatment, compared with the model group, each drug group showed a lipid-lowering effect. Especially, coptisine, palmatine, jatrorrhinze were significantly reduced TC, TG, LDL-c (P < 0.05, P < 0.01), and increased HDL-c (P < 0.01). In addition, they also increased mRNA expression of the LDLR in liver and HepG2 cells. The results showed that alkaloids from Coptidis Rhizoma can regulate lipid metabolism disorder, and coptisine have the best lipid-lowering effect.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the imbalance of suppressors of cytokine signaling 1(SOCS1)/SOCS3 and abnormal activation of monocytes/ macrophages in children with acute-phase asthma, and explore the molecular mechanism of chronic inflammatory process on airway.Methods The present study enrolled 20 asthmatic children and 20 age-matched normal children. Dual-color flow cytometric analysis was performal to detect the percentage of CD_ 80 、CD_ 86 expressing on CD_ 14 ~+ cell. Objective To investigate the relationship of the changes of bone density and biochemical marker of bone turnover with osteoporosis in the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Methods A total of 102 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and 42 healthy subjects (normal controls) were included in this study.The bone mineral density (BMD) of lumbar vertebrae and femur were measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA).The T2 DM subjects were divided into two groups:osteoporosis group (56 cases) and non-osteoporosis group (46 cases).The levels of total procollagen type Ⅰ amino-terminal propeptide (TP Ⅰ NP),β-isomerized carboxyterminal propeptide (β-CTx),parathyroid hormone (PTH),serum calcium (Ca2+),serum phosphorus (P),alkaline phosphatase (ALP),fasting blood glucose(FBG),glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc) and body mass index (BMI) were detected. The correlations between BMD of the osteoporosis group and other related factors were analyzed. Results The BMD values of lumbar vertebrae and femur neck,troch,ward's triangle in the osteoporosis group were decreased as compared with control(t=9.006,6.347,7.387,5.321,P＜ 0.01) and the serum TP Ⅰ NP,β-CTx,PTH,ALP,FBG,HbAlc,Creatinine and albumin/Cr in the osteoporosis group were significantly higher than controls(t=2.212,4.431,2.215,3.544,0.433,1.629,0.365,5.436,P＜0.01 or P＜0.05),the 25-(OH)VD3 in the osteoporosis group was lower than in controls(t=2.700,P＜0.01).Correlation analysis showed TP Ⅰ NP was negatively correlated with the BMD of femoral Troch and Ward's triangle (r=-0.413,-0.375,P＜0.01),and β CTx was negatively correlated with the BMD of femoral Troch (r=-0.301,P＜0.05).The TP Ⅰ NP,β-CTx in the overweight group and obesity group were higher than in normal group(F=50.59,51.28; F =96.20,95.71,all P＜0.01);the melbine group had higher TP Ⅰ NP,β-CTx than the thiazolidinedione and sulfonylurea group(F=32.33,33.35,F=31.07,39.18,P＜0.01);the TP Ⅰ NP,β-CTx in the better blood glucose control group were lower than in the bad control group(F=11.32,13.69,P＜0.01);the TP Ⅰ NP,β-CTx in the group with complication were increased as compared with no complication group(F=52.75,70.34,P＜0.01).Conclusions The spine BMD in elderly T2DM patients is decreased to some degree.The combined application of TP Ⅰ NP and β-CTx is helpful for the early diagnosis of osteoporosis in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of physical examination,digital mammography and color Dopplor ultrasonography for breast masses.Methods The materials of clinic,digital mammography and color Dopplor ultrasonogrpahy(US)in 92 women(raged from 18～80 years old in age,with average of 49.8 years old)with breast masses confirmed by pathology were retrospectively analysed,including benign in 43 and malignant in 49.Digital mammographic findings including the location,shape,margins,calcifications and the lymph node of axillary of the breast lesions,and color Dopplor ultrasonographic findings including mainly the characteristics of lesions on two-dimensional sonography,the distribution of the internal and peripheral vessels of the lesions were observed,the physical examination mainly observed the skin and nipple,and the margins,texture and movement of the lesions.Results In diagnosing breast masses,the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,negative predictive value and accuracy were 85.71%,79.07%,82.35%,82.93% and 82.61%,respectively with digital mammography,79.59%,83,72%,84.78%,78.26% and 81.52%,respectively with US,71.42%,76.74%,77.78%,70.21%,73.91%,respectively with physical examination,while were 91.84%,93.02%,93.75%,93.3% and 90.91%,respectively in combination with three methods,which were significantly higher than that of each single examination(P＜0.05),but there were no differences between each examination(P＞0.05).Conclusion It can improve the diagnosing accuracy of breast masses by suitable combination of three of digital mammography,color Dopplor ultrasonography and physical examination.

Field avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) designated as JS/9 5/03, which was isolated from Jiangsu province of china, was cultivated in chicken emb ryo. It's single strain RNA was extracted from purified virus and worked as temp late of reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), a pair of pri mer designed according to megalign results of published IBV sequences in Genbank was used to amplify the neucleocapsid gene, the RT-PCR product was sequenced d irectly. Sequence analysis revealed that the sequence of JS/95/03 is most homolo gized with that of M41 strain.
