Objective To study the relationship between rotational deformity and operational correction rate in scoliosis. MethodsFrom January 2005 to December 2006,44 cases of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis with operational correction were reviewed.Before operation,all the patients were performed MRI scan of the whole spine and the rotation angle of superior and inferior endplate of nine vertebraes with the center of apical vertebrae were measured so that the mechanical torsion angle of vertebrae and disc were calculated,and the rotation compliance of the spine was obtained.In addition,preoperative plain,lateral and bending film of thoracic-lumbar vertebrae were taken to measure the Cobb angle,and the items above were compared with those of post-operation to calculate the scoliosis flexibility and correction rate.Correlation analysis was conducted between the rotation compliance,flexibility and operational correction rate in scoliosis.Results There were significant differences in the mean coronal and sagittal Cobb angle before and after the operation(P

Flocculation of fermented broth with 1,3 -propanediol using component B of natural clarifier-Ⅱ was studied. Firstly, single factor tests and orthogonal tests were carried out. The results showed the main factors which influenced the flocculation and the optimal conditions were: pH6.0, flocculant B 0.01g/L , NaCl 0g/L, and the FR was 95.97% . The following results by filtration experiments, compared with the sample without pretreatment, indicated that the filtration speed of the flocculated sample was improved dramatically, and the weights of net and dry filter cakes were increased by 41.13% and 51.88% , respectively. Electrodialysis experiments showed that flocculation could accelerate desalting process, and could take the place of centrifugal pretreatment when it combined with the filtration.

Objective To determine the effect of histotype and histodifferentiation on the maximum standardized uptake value (SUV_(max)) of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) ~(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT imaging.Methods Two hundred and sixty patients with NSCLc underwent ~(18)F-FDG PET/CT imaging.They were classified according to (1) histotype:as adenocarcinoma (AC),squamous cell carcinoma(SQC),adenosquamous carcinoma (ASC) and other type carcinoma (OTC),and (2) histodifferentiation:as grade Ⅰ (well-differentiated),grade Ⅱ (moderate-differentiated) and grade Ⅲ (poor-differentiated).The SUV_(max) and size(long diameter)of the primary lesions were measured.Multivariate regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between the SUV_(max) and variable factors including histotype,histodifferentiation,lesion size,age,sex,body height,body weight,body mass index (BMI),blood glucose level,dose,and rate of dose.Results Two hundred and sixty patients had 260 primary NSCLC tumors.There were 161 AC(15 grade Ⅰ,88 grade Ⅱ,58 grade Ⅲ),74 SQC(6 grade Ⅰ,39 grade Ⅱ,29 grade Ⅲ),15 ASC(7 grade Ⅱ,8 gradeⅢ)and OTC(8 large cell,2 carcinosarcoma).Only lesion size (F=87.046.P＜0.001),histodifferentiation (F=87.604,P＜0.001) and histotype (F=66.663,P＜0.001) were included for multivariate regression analysis with SUV_(max).After adjustment for lesion size,the SUV_(max)(mean and 95%confidence interval) in ascending order was AC Ⅰ:3.3(2.1-4.5),ACⅡ:6.0(5.5-6.6),SQCⅠ:6.1(4.2-8,0),ASC Ⅱ:6.6(4.8-8.4),SQCⅡ.7.8(7.0-8.6),OTC:8.1(6.6-9.6),AC Ⅲ:8.3(7.6-8.9),ASC Ⅲ:8.7(7.0-10.4),and SQC Ⅲ:8.9(8.0-9.8).11he SUV_(max) of AC Ⅰ was significantly lower than that of SQC Ⅰ(q=-2.786,P=0.017),same for AC Ⅱ and SQC Ⅱ(q=-1.776,P＜0.001),but no statistically significant differences were found among AC Ⅲ,ASC Ⅲ and SQC Ⅲ(q=-0.593,-0.422,0.171,P=0.288,0.642,0.860,respectively).For the same histotype lesions,the difference of SUV_(max) among AC Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ was statistically significant(q=-2.720,-4.943,-2.223,all P＜0.001),as also for SQC Ⅰ and Ⅲ(q=-2.751,P=0.012).Conclusion Histotype and histodifferentiation are significant correlative factors for ~(18)F-FDG uptake of NSCLC,with histodifferentiation being the factor with greater impact.

The pandemic of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has caused a serious impact on global public health and the economy. SARS-CoV-2 infiltrates host cells via its surface spike protein, which binds to angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 on the host cell membrane. As a result, small molecules targeting spike protein have emerged as a hotspot in anti-SARS-CoV-2 drug research. Activity screening is an important step in seeking small molecule drugs. Therefore, this article aims to review the biological activity evaluation methods of small molecule inhibitors targeting SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, with the goal of laying the foundation for the discovery of new anti-SARS-CoV-2 drugs.

To study the regulation of androgen receptor (AR) expression in human prostate cancer LNCaP cells by triptolide (TP) and the possible mechanism, by using qRT-PCR and Western blot, the AR mRNA and protein levels in TP treated LNCaP cells were detected, and the AR protein level in TP and NF-κB inhibitor treated LNCaP cells was also detected; a series of pGL3-AR promoter reporter gene vectors were built using restriction-free cloning method, and the vectors were employed to investigate the effects of TP on the transcriptional activity of AR promoter in LNCaP cells; the upstream proteins which may play regulatory roles were detected using western blot assay. After treated LNCaP cells with TP for 48 h, AR mRNA and protein expressions decreased with increasing TP concentration. The expression of AR target gene PART1 and prostate specific antigen (PSA) was also downregulated by TP treatment; a series of pGL3-AR promoter reporter vectors were constructed and validated by sequencing and luciferase activity; the results of dual luciferase reporter assay showed that TP downregulated AR at the transcriptional level; PI3K/AKT/NF-κB pathway which is associated with AR promoter activity was drowregulated by TP. In conclusion, our results demonstrated that the transcriptional activity of AR in LNCAP cells was downregulated by TP, and PI3K/AKT/NF-κB pathway may be involved in the regulation mechanism.

70% to 80% of people with diabetes died from cardiovascular complications, which had become the leading cause of death in diabetic patients. Cardiovascular complications in diabetic patients are mainly associated with vascular endothelial dysfunction and poor neovascularization. Its important influencing factors are changes in the number of endothelial progenitor cells and dysfunction. Hyperglycemia in diabetic patients can cause endothelial progenitor cell dysfunction, inhibit its proliferation ability, angiogenesis ability and paracrine effect. In order to provide research ideas for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular complications in diabetic patients, this article aims to review the relevant mechanism of the effect of hyperglycemia on the number and function of endothelial progenitor cells in patients with diabetes, and the application of endothelial progenitor cells in the treatment of diabetic cardiovascular disease.
