Pg.The adherence activity of periodontal pathogens to HA was enhanced by Ss and Av.When cultivated with Sm,the adherence activity of Pg was reduced.Periodontal pathogens had no effect on the adherence activity of Sm and Av,and Ss excepted. Conclusion The adherence activity of periodontal pathogens is lower than that of cariogenic bacteria.Periodontal pathogens can utilize early-attached bacteria to become those predominant bacteria in periodontal ecosystem.

Objective To evaluate CT and MRI features of brain lesions in CO poisoning and to compare the ability of detecting rate of lesions by CT and MRI.Methods CT and MRI appearances in 52 cases with CO poisoning were analysed and compared.Results Necroses and degenerations of globus pallidus in 9 cases,cerebral white matter demyelination in 3 cases and brain atrophy in 3 cases were showed by CT.The detecting rate was 28.8% by CT while,necroses and degeneration of glodus pallidus were observed in 24 cases and white matter change in 7 cases were observed by MRI,the detecting rate was 59.6% which was higher than that of CT (?

Objective To explore the management of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of lower limbs in patients with severe craniocerebral injury.Methods The clinical data of 9 patients of severe craniocerebral injury with DVT were analyzed respectively.Results All 9 patients were given medicine therapy including thrombolytic, anti coagulating, anti platelet aggregation and antibiotics. 3 cases were cured, 1 case was improved, 4 cases died and 1 case discharged by himself. Conclusion There are risk factors for DVT in patients with severe craniocerebral injury. Early prophylaxis is important. Early diagnosis and treatment are benefited.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the prevalence of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) mutations in patients with early-onset diabetes in Tianjin, and to explore the relationship between mtDNA mutations and diabetes.

METHODS348 non-related patients whose age at onset of diabetes was less than 45 years were randomly recruited, and 207 non-related and non-diabetic subjects were enrolled as controls. All their clinical and biochemical data were collected. Total genome was extracted conventionally from the participants' peripheral leucocytes, and polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) and cloning techniques were applied to the screening of mtDNA mutations (including the 3316, 3394 and 3426 in ND1 region, 12026 in ND4 region, and tRNA [Leu(UUR)] 3243 A-->G mutation).

RESULTSThe authors found 17 diabetics harboring the 12026 A-->G mutation in ND4 region (4.9%), 10 diabetics with mutations in ND1 region (including 5 diabetics with the 3394 T-->C mutation, 4 diabetics with 3316 G-->A mutation, one with 3426 A-->G mutation), and only two with the known 3243 A-->G mutation (0.6%). On the contrary, one control subject with the 3316 G-->A mutation, two with 3394 T-->C mutation and four with 12026 A-->G mutation were found. The prevalence of mtDNA mutations in the patient group is significantly higher than that in the control group (3.3%) (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe above findings suggest that mtDNA mutation may be implicated in the pathogenesis of the examined diabetes.

To explore the new method of discriminating Cistanche deserticola, Cynomorium songaricum and Orobanche pycnostachya by using PCR amplification of specific alleles. 30 samples of the different C. deserticola, 21 samples of C. songaricum and O. pycnostachya were collected. The total DNA of the samples were extracted, the ITS sequences from C. deserticola, C. songaricum and O. pycnostachya were amplified by PCR and sequenced unidirectionally. These sequences were aligned by using ClustulW. Specific primer was designed according to the ITS sequences of specific alleles, and PCR reaction system was optimized. Additionally, compare with the identification of specific PCR method and DNA sequence analysis method. The result showed that the 331 bp identification band for C. deserticola and the adulterants not amplified bands by a single PCR reaction, which showed good identification ability to the three species. PCR amplification of specific alleles can be used to identify C. deserticola, C. songaricum and O. pycnostachya successfully.

120 strains of endophytic bacteria identified by ERIC-PCR were isolated from wild and cultivated Glycyrrhiza uralensis plants which collected from Erdos Innermongolia province.The identified results indicated that Glycyrrhiza uralensis plants has plenty of endophytic bacterium in density and population,and the density is higher in root and leave than in stem.Partial sequence analysis of 16S rDNA gene of 82 strains indicated that these strains were in a high similarity with 19 known genus which belong to?、?、 ?-Proteobacteria、Firmicutes and Actinobacteria.The dominant genus were Bacillus sp.,Pseudomonas sp., Pantoea sp.and Serratia sp..
