Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of Hydatidosis of post-peritoneum and bladder. Methods Nine cases were reported. Among them, one was epinephros-hydatid cyst, two renal hydated cyst, two hydatidosis of post-peritoneum in ileopelvic, and four bladder hydrated cyst. All cases had history of contacting with dog or sheep. Results All of the nine cases were cured by operation. Conclusions In percussion of the lower abdominal mass, hydrated cyst vibration, a specific sign, can usually be felt; and the mass do not disappear after urination. Besides, E-immune Test for echinococcus, B-ultrasonography, and CT are very useful diagnostic methods. Therefore, excision of the cyst still is the only effective treatment for hydatidosis.

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(06):-
Recently the research of vaccines and drugs against anthrax is one of hot spots. The efficacy of anthrax vaccines and drugs can't be experimented in human, therefore the testing model is very important. The cell models mainly include CHO and J774A.1. Now, various kinds of animals including mice, rats, rabbits, and nonhuman primates were experimented as animal models. Because the models are different, the results of experiments are significantly different, sometimes they are contrary. Many experiments of Bacillus anthracis in different cell and animal models are reviewed, and the principles of choosing animal models of anthrax are discussed. In order to analyze the different results of experiments in different models, the pathogenesis of Bacillus anthracis and the researching progress of anthrax vaccines and drugs are also simply introduced .

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(02):-
Human hepatocarcinoma cells, HepG2 were cultured onto biodegradable polyglycolic acid (PGA) polymer scaffolds, which were cultured in a rotating cell culture system (RCCS) to form a three-dimensional (3D) multicellular culture in vitro. The RCCS can simulate microgravity effects with low shear stress and well exchanging for gas. Then the growth characteristics and some mechanism of the cells in RCCS were detected by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), RT-PCR and flow cytometry (FCM). The results indicate that the cells grew well with polyhedron morphology and lots of microvilli, mitochondria and tight junctions in this system, which means that this system is useful for cells to form 3D structure to mimic cell status in vivo. The expression of some cell adhesion molecules (CAMs) were changed markedly, which are closely associated with cancer invasion and metastasis. The characters of increased expression of integrin ?1(CD29), CD44, intercellular adhesion molecule-1(CD54) and depressed expression of E-cadherin presumably show that the HepG2 cells cultured in RCCS could recur some characters of primary liver cancer in vivo, the capacity of invasion and metastasis. It is necessary for acquiring perfect and external results to select an appropriate research model for studying in vitro. This 3D culture in vitro under simulated microgravity can provide a useful and reasonable model for oncology, anticancer drugs research and other research.

AIM To compare the effects of probimane( Pro), bimolane ( Bim) and razoxane( Raz) on animal tumor metastasis in vivo . METHODS A biological inoculation method for assessment of pulmonary metastasis of Lewis lung carcinoma(3LL) was employed. RESULTS Pro and Bim inhibited the pulmonary metastasis of 3LL both from d 2 and from d 8 injections, but Raz only inhibited the pulmonary metastasis of 3LL from d 2 injections. Pro inhibited the pulmonary metastasis of 3LL more potently than Bim did at equitoxic dosage. CONCLUSION Pro is better in the treatment of pulmonary metastasis of 3LL than Raz for its possible novel molecular mechanisms.

BACKGROUND:Intraarticular cocktail analgesic injection is a popular postoperative analgesia method and can effectively control postoperative pain and relieve side effects after total hip arthroplasty.
OBJECTIVE:To compare and assess the effectiveness and safety of intraarticular analgesic injection or intravenous injection of parecoxib after total hip arthroplasty.
METHODS:A total of 60 patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty were randomly assigned to:treatment group (intraarticular cocktail analgesic injection with morphine, bupivacaine, and compound betamethasone), and control group (intravenous injection of parecoxib). Al patients received tramadol hydrochloride at 24 hours after replacement. Analgesic consumption, visual analog scale at rest and during activity, range of motion, and postoperative complication of patients in each group were recorded.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Intraarticular cocktail analgesic injection significantly reduced analgesic consumption. When comparing visual analog scale scores, rest pain scores were significantly less in the treatment group at 12, 24 and 48 hours after replacement than that in the control group (P<0.05). Scores on range of motion were significantly less in the treatment group at 24 and 36 hours than that in the control group (P<0.05). No significant differences in total complications were detectable between the treatment and control groups (P>0.05). Results suggested that intraarticular cocktail analgesic injection lessened analgesic consumption after replacement, relieved early pain after replacement, and contributed to early rehabilitation of patients. Moreover, no significant adverse reactions were visible.

Objective To identify difference between intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) and pancreatic common ductal adenocarcinoma. Methods Between March 2003 and June 2006, 29 patients with pathological diagnosis of IPMN and 46 patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma in Zhongshan Hospital were retrospectively reviewed. Clinical, biochemical, and histopathologic factors were retrospectively analyzed. Prognosis between two groups were compared by log-rank test. Results The proportion with no symptom visit in IPMN was obviously higher than in pancreatic cancer. Twenty-one of 29 specimens were malignant in IPMN. Stage of the malignant IPMN was significantly earlier than that of the pancreatic adenocarcinoma (P=0.017). Intrapancreatic neural invasion was more common in pancreatic adenocarcinoma than in malignant IPMN (P=0.005). The survival curve of the malignant IPMN was significantly better than that of the pancreatic adenocarcinoma (P=0.014). Conclusion IPMN with less aggressive bionomics can be diagnosed and treated in an earlier stage. So its prognosis is better than that of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Prognosis of malignant IPMN which is more invasive than stage Ⅱ B is simular to that of common pancreatic cancer. However, this conclusion should be further investigated.
