This guideline was published by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, which has been developed to assist physicians performing sonographic studies of the brain in neonates and infants.Neurosonography should be performed only when there is a valid medical reason, and gain the necessary diagnostic information.Although it is not possible to detect every abnormality, adherence to the following guideline will maximize the detection of most abnormalities of the brain in neonates and infants that can be imaged with ultrasound.

AIM: To observe the effects of carvedilol on murine viral myocarditis model. METHODS: A total of 188 inbred male BALB/c mice of 4-6 weeks were divided into 4 groups: myocarditis group (group C, n=60), metoprolol treatment group (group M, n=60), carvedilol treatment group (group K, n=60), control group (group B, n=8). Myocardial histopathololgic changes were observed. The concentrations of cardiac troponin I (cTn-I) were detected by chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA). Western blotting was performed to analyze the contents of phosphorylated p38MAPK in myocardium. RESULTS: Metropolol and carvedilol lightened myocardial histopathololgic changes at acute stage, decreased cTn-I concentrations and myocardial phosphorylated p38MAPK value compared with myocarditis group. Treatment with carvedilol was more effective than treated with metropolol on those indexes. CONCLUSION: Carvedilol protects against viral myocarditis by inhibition of p38MAPK signal transduction pathway through blockade of β_1 and β_2 adrenergic receptors.

Objective To investigate the role of precursor of brain derived neurotrophic factor (proBDNF) in the improvement of motor function of rats subjected to cord transection. Methods Spinal cord transection was performed at T10 level. The rats were divided into sham operation group and artificial cerebrospinal fluid group. Then, the rats were subjected to proBDNF antibody treatment. The efficiency of proBDNF block was also determined by immunohistochemistry. BBB scale scores were used to e-valuate the effect of ProBDNF block on the motor function of the rats with spinal cord transection. Results Compared with control rats, proBDNF treatment showed a marked down-regulation of proBDNF protein in the spinal cord and could significantly improve the motor function. BBB scores in proBDNF block group was higher than those in artificial cerebrospinal fluid group. Conclusion The proBDNF block is available to the recovery of the motor function in hindlimbs in cord transected rats, suggesting that proBDNF could be as a member of candidate molecules for SCI therapy in the future.

Objective:To understand the status and association of health literacy and self-management ability of hypertensive patients in the community and to provide reference for further intervention research. Methods:From June 2019 to October 2019, a random number table method was used to randomly select multiple streets or towns/townships, and then 401 residents in the community or village aged above 18 years of age diagnosed as hypertension were selected as the subjects of this study. The general data questionnaire, high blood pressure-health literacy scale into Chinese(C-HBP-HLS) and hypertension patients self-management behavior rating scale(HPSMBRS)were used to conduct one-to-one field survey. SPSS 24.0 was used to analyze the scores of health literacy and self-management behavior of patients with hypertension. SAS 9.4 was used to analyze the canonical correlation between health literacy and self-management behavior of patients with hypertension. Results:The score of health literacy and self-management ability were (38.94±17.56) points and (129.45±16.53) points, respectively. The results of canonical correlation analysis showed that the canonical correlation coefficient between health literacy and self-management behavior reached 0.57, which was mainly reflected in the great correlation between " drug label" and " diet management" .Conclusion:Attention should be paid to the positive effect of health literacy on self-management ability, and further intervention research should take the " drug label" and " written health literacy" dimensions of health literacy as entry points to effectively improve the self-management ability of hypertension patients in the community.

Objective The aim of the study is to approach the clinical significance of the change of ST segments after di- rect percutaneous transcoronary angioplasty(PTCA) combined with Lipo-PGE_1 in treating Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI).Methods The change of the ST segments on EKG of 76 patients with AMI are observed in 30 minutes after un- derwent direct PICA combined with Lipo-PGE_1,and the relations are analyzed that are prospectively to their therapy effect, the degree of injured cardiac muscle, the cardial functions, and the prognosis. Results The patients who treated with the PCTA combined with Lipo-PGE_1 ST segments on EKG 30 minutes after operations reduced significantly, cardiac muscle is injured lowly, their cardial functions are better. Conclusion The change of ST segments after direct percutane- ous transcoronary angioplasty (PTCA) combined with Lipo-PGE_1 in treating acute myocardial infarction is one of the guide line to estimate the perfnsion of cardiac muscle, and to estimate prognosis farther.

Hyperlipidemia is a major factor causing coronary heart disease and atherosclerosis. The high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) is a major indicator for measuring lipid levels. However, there is no an effective medicine that can obviously increase HDL-C at present. According to previous laboratory studies, atractylodes macrocephalae extracts could significantly increase HDL-C level. In this study, the metabolic hyperlipidemia rat model was established by feeding high-sugar and fat diets and alcohol-drinking to explore the effect and mechanism of atractylodes macrocephalae extracts on hyperlipidemia rats. According to the findingins, different doses of atractylodes macrocephalae extracts could reduce the levels of TC, TG, LDL-C, ACAT and increase the contents of LCAT, HDL-C. Particularly, the atractylodes macrocephalae extracts (100 mg · kg(-1) group showed increase in HDL-C by about 50% and significant declines in HMG-CoA reductase, TC, TG. In conclusion, Atractylodes Macrocephelae Rhizoma extracts could effectively regulate the dyslipidemia of hyperlipidemia rats, especially on HDL-C. Its mechanism may be related to reduction in cholesterol synthesis by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase in livers and increase in lipid metabolism and transport by regulating LCAT and ACAT levels.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) and the expression of transforming growth factor-β receptorⅡ,interleukin 6 and tumor necrosis factor-α in gastric mucosa.Methods:76 cases of gastroscope biopsy specimens were collected in the CAG patients, the infection of Hp was detected by PCR fluorescence, and immunohistochemical staining was used to determine the expression of TGF-βRⅡ,IL-6 and TNF-α in gastric foveolar epithelium and stromal inflammatory cells. Results:There were significant differences in chronic inflammation between Hp-positive and Hp-negative group (P<0.05).Expression of IL-6 in stromal inflammatory cells was significantly different between Hp-positive and Hp-negative group (P<0.05).Expression of TGF-βRⅡ and TNF-α was not significantly different in two groups(P>0.05).IL-6 expressed instromal inflammatory cells were correlated with chronic inflammation (r=0.249,P=0.03).The degree of intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia were correlated with the atrophic severity respectively(r=0.697,0.366).Conclusion:IL-6 is related to the chronic inflammation in patients with CAG who has Hp infection. The chronic atroplic severity promotes the development of intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia.
