Objective To study the relationship of peripheral vascular disease(PVD) with gender and serum uric acid in patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods Lower extremities of 82 male and 70 female patients with type 2 diabetes were screened for PVD by color Doppler uhrasonography,and the levels of serum uric acid,fasting blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin and serum lipid were examined.Results In male,serum uric acid(328.12?107.30) ?mol/L,age(65.00?9.66) yrs,durations of diabetes(7.38?6.17) yrs, HBA_1Cc(7.74?1.83)% were significantly higher in the diabetic patients with PVD than those in patients without PVD.And these changes were not shown in female patients.In male,the detectable rate of PVD(82.14%)in diabetics with high level uric acid was also increased than that in normal uric acid group(53.70%).Conclusion The higher level of serum uric acid in type 2 diabetics was closely related with the occurrence of peripheral vascular disease in male.So we should actively control the level of serum uric acid in male.

Objective To apply six sigma management method to optimizing flow,enhancing treatment quality,prolonging service life and decreasing purchase cost of the non-coated surgical instrument.Methods The treatment flow of the noncoated surgical instrument was optimized through five steps of six sigma method including defining,measuring,analyzing,improving and controlling.The treatment results before and after flow optimization were compared,analyzed and evaluated.Results The rates for corrosion and rejection were both decreased significantly after flow optimization,while the quality was increased obviously (P＜0.05).Conclusion Six sigma management method involved in the treatment of the non-coated surgical instrument saves purchase cost,enhances the efficiency of disinfection supply room and facilitates effective supervision and monitoring.

Objective To translate the Personal Diabetes Questionnaire(PDQ),and test the relia bility and validity of the Chinese version of PDQ.Methods Through forward translation,back translation,cultural adjustment,etc.,the Personal Diabetes Questionnaire (PDQ) was introduced to localize it.60 eligible patients with diabetes were selected in a tertiary hospital to make a preliminary investigation.The results were statistically analyzed in order to assess the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of PDQ.Results The Chinese version of PDQ had good reliability,whose total internal consistency coefficient was 0.831 and test-retest reliability was 0.801.The questionnaire has good validity.Total Content Validity Index was 0.938.I-CVI was between 0.800 and 1.000.The questionnaire's dimensions had good parallel validity with glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc) and body mass index (BMI).Conclusions The Chinese Version of the personal diabetes questionnaire has good reliability and validity,which can be widely used as the evaluation tool of diabetes self-management education.

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum uric acid (UA)levels and Parkinson's disease (PD) risk under specific lifestyle exposures.Methods Case-control study was used.Three hundred and ninety-seven PD cases and the same number of controls with matched age and gender were selected.Demographic and exposure information was collected by face-to-face interview,and blood biochemistry studies tested.Logistic regression model was used to analyze the association of PD risk with UA levels or enviromental factors.Results The highest value of UA levels was associated with a decreased PD risk compared to the lowest value (OR =0.39,95％ CI 0.25-0.63) in both male and female groups.This association was significant among nonsmokers (OR =0.52,95％ CI 0.32-0.76),nondrinkers (OR =0.4,95％ CI 0.34-0.70),and persons taking exercise more than 1 houre a day (OR =0.51,95％ CI 0.35-0.74).But no significant association was affected in the subjects with smoking or drinking history and those with less exercise (＜ 1 hour a day).Conclusion We confirmed that higher UA levels were associated with lower PD risk in Chinese population,and some lifestyles may modify the protection effect of serum UA.

Objective To observe the expression of leukocyte-function-associated antigen-1(LFA-1)immunoreaction in children with febrile seizures(FS),and explore the neuroimmunomodulation mechanisms in the pathogenesis of FS.Methods Adopting flow cytometry(FCM),the levels of LFA-1 contained in blood serum and peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC)of 60 cases [simple FS(SFS)30 cases;complex FS(CFS)30 cases] with febrile convulsion were analyzed,and compared with those in a normal group(30 cases).Out of 60 children with FS group,the LFA-1 mRNA in 20 cases with SFS and 20 cases with CFS was analyzed,and LFA-1 mRNA in19 health children taken out from control group(30 cases)was analyzed.The real-time PCR was used to detect the expression of PBMC LFA-1 mRNA.Results The expression of LFA-1 in the surface of PBMC of the 3 groups,the highest LFA-1 level was in the SFS group(50.89?21.36),the lowest LFA-1 level was in the CFS group(34.35?11.45),and control group was(41.39?16.30).Significant differences were found in 3 groups(Pa

Objective To investigate the features of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the modified ZeiM-Neelsen (MZN) positive tuberculous mengningitis (TBM).Methods We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of 170 patients with tuberculous meningitis confirmed by MZN stain from December 2012 to July 2015.The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship of MZN staining and CSF cytology.Results Among 170 patients with TBM confirmed by MZN staining,128 cases had first detectable acid-fast bacillus (AFB) in earlier stage.The cytology included 15.5％ mixed cellular cytology,58.5％ lymphoid cytology,19.5％ neutrophilic cytology and 6.5％ normal cytology.Twenty-four cases had first detectable AFB within 1-2 months following disease onset.The cytology included 13.1％ mixed cellular cytology,56.6％ lymphoid cytology,21.7％ neutrophilic cytology and 8.7％ normal cytology.Eighteen cases had first detectable AFB 2 months after disease onset.The cytology included 26.7％ mixed cellular cytology,46.7％ lymphoid cytology,20.0％ neutrophilic cytology,6.6％ normal cytology.There was no significant difference in median time of first detectable AFB among those four types of cytology (P=0.812).There was significant difference in median time of first detectable AFB between patients with and without anti-TB therapy [21.5 (12.3,37.8) days vs.8.5 (6.0,16.3)days,P＜0.001].There was no significant difference in median time MZN stain turning negative between patients with and without anti-TB therapy [11 (5.75,19.25) days vs.6(4.25,10.75)days,P=0.230].Conclusions AFB can be detectable within a month after the onset of TBM in most of cases.(MZN) positive staining is not associated with the major type of cytology.Anti-TB therapy may delay the first detectable time of AFB.

OBJECTIVE: To prepare bifonazole hollow effervescent suppository and establish its quality standard. METHODS: Bifonazole hollow effervescent suppository was prepared by hot-melting method, 38-type semisynthetic glyceride as the base material, NaHCO3 and citric acid as the effervescent agent, bifonazole as main ingredient. UV spectrophotometry was used for the content determination of bifonazole. RESULTS: The weight of prepared suppository was about 2.3 g and mean size of maximal foaming capacity were all above 8 mL. The linear range of bifonazole were 1.015～10.15 ?g?mL-1(r=0.999 9) with an average recovery of 99.74% (RSD=1.28%). CONCLUSION: The established preparation is simple, practical and up to the standard. The content determination method is precise and accurate.
