Objective:To probe the correlation of intra-operative hyaluronic acid(HA) changes with hepatic allografts cold ischemia reperfusion injury in liver transplantation.Methods:The patients with orthotopic liver transplantation were assigned to 3 groups:① group A :liver allografts were stored in University of Wisconsin's solution(0℃) for 5-6 h before implantation;② group B :liver allografts were stored in U W's solution(0℃) for 8-9 h before implantation;③ group C :liver allografts were stored in U W's solution(0℃) for 12 h before implantation.The serum samples were taken up at 5 min,60 min,120 min,180 min after the donor liver was transplanted and reperfused to detect the concentration of HA.Results:After donor liver was transplanted and reperfused,serum HA concentration decreased immediately and gradually.HA decreased rate :group A 4.58 ?g/L?min-1,group B 4.16 ?g/L?min-1,group C 2.26 ?g/L?min-1.Serum HA decrease rate was faster in group A and B than that in group C(P

This paper introduces the wavelet transform with multiresolution for liver cancer CT image enhancement. As the wavelet transform with compact support, orthogonality and approximately symmetry, SymletsA (sym4) wavelet family is applied to the two-layer multiscale decompose of the CT image. The decomposed wavelet coefficients are processed with the threshold values of 550, 350 and 250, with the low -frequency region intensified and the high-frequency one weakened. Then the image is reconstructed and thus the image is enhanced. Wavelet transform proves efficient in CT image enhancement.

Modern fully automatic biochemical analyzer makes enzyme measurement accurate, specific and practical, but alarm failure happens sometimes and thus determinate error appears. To find out the inducement to alarm failure, Olympus AU2700 and ADVIA 1650 fully automatic biochemical analyzer are used to measure the serum liver enzyme from 450 cases of post-liver-transplantation patients.

Objectives To study the influential factors of the von Clauss method and to promote the method for fibrinogen assay in clinical laboratories in China. MethodsKits of foreign and domestic products were used. Calibration curves for fibrinogen determination were established, and calibration plasma was used for comparison. Effects of pH value, thrombin activity, and temperature on the measurement were studied.Results The reproducibility of the von Clauss method using domestic thrombin and related reagents was excellent, the within day CV being 0.039 1, and the between day CV 0.049 7. The percentage variations of calibration plasma determination, with the foreign fibrinogen assay kits using domestic reagents, were +3.17% , +4.76%, and -6.03%, respectively. Determination of a lyophilized plasma using the two sources reagents showed similar results.Conclusions Thrombin and relevant reagents produced in China could be used as a substitute for kits purchased abroad, which would promote the use of von Clauss method in clinical laboratories of China.

Twenty-seven patients with subclinical hyperthyroidism(SH)complicated by paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(PAF)were treated with methimazole plus bisoprolol.All patients were examined by Doppler echocardiogram and 24 h ambulatory electrocardiograms before and 3 months after treatment.Serum FT3,FT4,and TSH levels were measured with RIA.The results showed that low-dose methimazole therapy could improve the left ventricular diastolic function(P < 0.01)and help maintain sinus rhythm.The incidence of subclinical hypothyroidism was low.Low-dose methimazole was effective and safe in patients with SH complicated by PAF.

OBJECTIVE:To improve the ability of vaccine post-marketing surveillance,and clearly define the development di-rection of it in China. METHODS:Though introducing the background,strategic objective and operation objective of Global Vac-cine Safety Blueprint,the situation of vaccine post-marketing surveillance in China was analyzed. RESULTS&CONCLUSIONS:Vaccine post-marketing surveillance have developed fast in China recent years and get generally confirmation. However,compared with the goals in the blueprint,there are some activities should be strengthened,such as active surveillance,signal analysis and da-ta standardization,etc. We should take use of the opportunity offered by WHO and other international organizations to shrink the gap between our country and the advanced countries. Drawing support from WHO and other international institutions,vaccine post-marketing surveillance can step on the new level in China.

Objective To study the effect of synthesized peptide S247 on the activation of p38MAPK of ventilator- induced lung injury.Methods Thirty healthy male SD rats were divided into group A,group B,group C,n 10.All rats were performed with mechanical ventilation,group A with tidal volume(V_T)8 ml/kg,breathing rate(p)80/min;group B with tidal volume(V_T)40 ml/kg,breathing rate(p)=80/min;group C with tidal volume(V_T)40 ml/kg,breathing rate(p)80/min.The rats in group C were intraperitoneally injected with synthesized peptide S247(100 mg/kg)once a day for a week.The time of ventilation in all groups was two hours.Rats were sacrificed after the experiment was finished. The lung lavage liquid and lung tissue were collected and stored with correct methods.The measured indexes included lung pathology change,total protein,WBC,MPO and MIP-2.The expression of p38 and p-p38 were measured by Western Blot in lung tissue.Results Compared with group A,total protein,WBC,MPO,MIP-2 and p-p38 significantly increased in group B;compared with group B,total protein,WBC,MPO,MIP-2 and p-p38 significandy decreased in group C. Conclusion Synthesized peptide S247 significantly inhibited the activation of p38 and relieved the degree of ventilator induced lung injury.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects and assess the feasibility of radiofrequency thermo- coagulation denervation(TRD)mediated by digital subtraction angiography(DSA)for patients with lumbar facet joint syndrome(LFJS).Methods Eighty LFJS patients were randomly divided into two groups:a denervated group(groupⅠ)and a control group (groupⅡ).The lumbar facet joints of the patients in groupⅠwere treated with TRD,while those in groupⅡhad their lumbar facet joint cavities injected with the mixture of 1 mg betamethasone and 1 ml lidocaine.All patients were assessed using the Visual Analog Scale(VAS)before treatment and 30 rain,1 d, 1 w,1 m and 6 m after.Schober values were measured at 1 w,1 m and 6 m after treatment.The therapeutic effects and side effects were assessed at 6 m after treatment.Results VAS scores in groupsⅠandⅡat 30 min,1 d,1 w and 1 m after treatment were remarkably lower than before treatment.In addition,those in groupⅠ6m after treatment were also significantly lower(P＜0.01).Compared with those in the groupⅡ,VAS scores in groupⅠwere signifi- cantly decreased at 1 m and 6 m after treatment(P＜0.05 and P＜0.01,respectively).The schober values in groupⅠat 1 m and 6m were obviously increased in comparison with those in groupⅡ,while the therapeutic effects in groupⅠat 6m after treatment were better than those in groupⅡ(P＜0.01).There were no side effects,such as injuries to the nerve roots or dysfunctional dermal sensation,in either group.Conclusion TRD,mediated by DSA,has ther- apeutic effects on LFJS.Such treatment is safe,convenient,and gives long-term pain relief.

Objective To assess the value of chest computer tomography (CT) and serum tumor marker in lung cancer screening among health check-up populations.Methods A total of 88 596 adults who had a medical check-up (including chest CT,chest DR,and tumor biomarkers test) in our center were enrolled in this investigation.Clinical diagnosis of lung cancer was confirmed by three professional doctors.Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to assess the relationship between serum level of tumor biomarkers and lung cancer.Results The average detection rate of lung cancer was 59.8/100 000 in our center during 2007 and 2011 (men 42.9/100 000,women 92.2/100 000).Rate of positive results of chest CT was 94.3％,which was approximately 2 times of chest DR.Moreover,carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) testing was effective in early diagnosis of lung cancer with higher sensitivity (73.6％) and specificity (57.1％).Conclusion This study suggests that health checkup centers should pay more attention to lung cancer screening in high risk populations,and new technologies might be used to facilitate the early diagnosis of lung cancer.
