1.Neutrophil elastase and leukemia

Neutrophil elastase is an important cytotoxicity molecule secreted by neutrophil. It plays a significant role in the development of leukemia. Since this protease can cleave the fusion protein PML-RARα,it may play a role in acute promyelocytic leukemia pathogenesis by facilitating the leukemogenic potential of PML-RARα. Otherwise, this protease might contribute to the clonal dominance of chronic myelognous leukemia by reducing the availability of growth factors for normal hematopoiesis.
2.Clinical use of mearing antithyroid peroxidase antibody in autoimmune thyroid disease

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical application of TPO-Ab by comparing the relationship between TPO-Ab and TMAb in ATD. MethodsIn this study with the method of RIA, we measured the serum level of TPO-Ab and TMAb in 200 ATD patients, 50 patients with non-ATD and 30 normal controls, and analyzed the relationship of TPO-Ab and TMAb, compared the differ ence between TPO-Ab and TMAb for diagnosis ATD. ResultsTPO-Ab titer increased in ATD es pecially in Hashimoto's thyroiditis(P<0.01), at the same time it could influence the state of the throid function. A significant positive correlation was found between TPO-Ab and TMAb(γ= 0.83,P<0.01 ), but TPO-Ab appeared to be more sensitive and specific for diagnosising Hashimoto's thy roiditis than TMAb. ConclusionTPO-Ab is a sensitive and specific stantard for diagnosising ATD.
3.AFFERENT CONNECTIONS OF THE PERIAQUEDUCTAL GRAY IN THE RAT

The afferent connections to the periaqueductal gray in the rat were examined by means of retrograde axonal transport method using horseradish peroxidase (HRP).The microinjection syringe needle or micro-electrophoretic pipette was inserted stereotaxically by an oblique approach through the cerebellum. HRP was introduced into the dorsal, lateral, ventrolateral areas of periaqueductal gray or periventricular gray of ventriculus Ⅲ at posterior commissure level respectively.The results were as follows:1. Injections of HRP in the dorsal area of periaqueductal gray(PAG).Numerous labeled cells were consistently found in the paraventricular nucleus, dorsomedial and ventromedial hypothalamic nuclei, posterior hypothalamic nucleus, medial mamillary nucleus, zona incerta, lateral and ventral nuclei of periaqueductal gray, superior colliculus, inferior colliculus, dorsal raphe nucleus and periventricular gray of ventriculus Ⅳ. In some cases, a smaller number of cells was found in the zona reticulata of the substantia nigra, and lateral hypothalamic nucleus. In one case, the enzyme was injected into the dorsal area of PAG, which diffused to the superior and inferior colliculi, resulted in labeling of Forel's field and reticular nucleus of thalamus.2. Injection of HRP in the lateral area of PAG.HRP-positive cells were observed within the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis, paraventricular nucleus, anterior hypothalamic nucleus, ventro-medial hypothalamic nucleus, medial thalamic nucleus, nucleus interstitialis magnocellularis, commissural posteriors, zona incerta, ventral nucleus of PAG, zona reticulata of substantia nigra, formatio reticularis of mesencephalon, dorsal raphe nucleus, and periventricular gray of ventriculus Ⅲ and Ⅳ. In some cases, a small number of cells was found in the supraoptic nucleus, superior and inferior colliculi.3. Injection of HRP in the ventrolateral area of PAG.In all cases the greatest number of HRP-positive neurons was shown in the supraoptic nucleus, paraventricular nucleus, periventricular gray of ventriculus Ⅲ, lateral nucleus of PAG, zona reticulata of substantia nigra, dorsal raphe nucleus and locus coeruleus. The labeled cells were mainly located ipsilaterally. But the labeling of supraoptic nucleus was observed bilaterally. In one case the enzyme diffused to the reticular formation, a smaller number of cells was found in nucleus cuneifomis and mesencephalic reticular formation of more caudal position.4. Injection of HRP in the periventricular gray of ventriculus Ⅲ.Following the injections of HRP in the periventricular gray of ventriculus Ⅲ, numerous HRP-positive cells were consistently observed in the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis, supraoptic nucleus, paraventricular nucleus, ventromedial nucleus of hypothalamus, medial nucleus pars medialis of thalamus, zona incerta, ventral nucleus of PAG, zona reticulata of substantia nigra, dorsal raphe nucleus and locus coeruleus.
4.Measurement of Serum Biochemical Indexes in Rabbits Introduced to Tibetan Plateau

Objective To characterize the major physiological and biochemical indexes of rabbits introduced to Tibet plateau,to provide the essential reference in experimental studies on rabbits,and to serve the relevant clinical treatment,teaching work and scientific research.Methods Twelve serum biochemical parameters of Californian rabbits and Chinese white rabbits introduced to Tibet since 20 years ago were measured with an automatic biochemistry analyzer.Results In the California rabbits,the values of ALB,TP,A/G,CRE,CHOL and LDH were very significantly higher in males than those in females(P<0.01),and ALT,GLU were significantly higher in females(P<0.05).In the Chinese white rabbits,the value of CRE was significantly higher in males than that in females,but the value of LDH was higher than that in males(P<0.01).There were significant differences between the values of AST,TP,ALB and GLO,A/G,GLU,CRE,LDH(P<0.01),and TG and BUN (P<0.05) in Californian and Chinese white rabbits.The values of AST,TP,BUN and LDH were very significantly different (P<0.01),and those of CRE,ALT,GLO and TG were significantly different (P<0.05) between the female Californian and female Chinese rabbits.Conclusion The experimental results obtained in this study will be valuable reference for relevant clinical diagnosis and treatment,teaching Work and scientific researches in Tibet.
5.The research of erythropoietin level in aqueous humor of patients with glaucoma

Objective To evaluate the difference of the level of erythropoietin (EPO) in primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG),pseudo exfoliative glaucoma (PXFG),and neovascular glaucoma (NVG).Methods One hundred glaucoma patients and 30 single cataract patients (control group) without other ocular region disease and systemic disease were enrolled in this study.In glaucoma patients,POAG was 40 patients (POAG group),PXFG was 30 patients (PXFG group),NVG was 30 patients (NVG group).The level of EPO in aqueous humor was measured by double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results The level of EPO in POAG group,PXFG group,NVG group,control group was (19.1 ±5.6),(18.8 ± 6.5),(142.7 ± 20.6),(0.9 ± 0.5) U/L.The level of EPO in POAG group,PXFG group,NVG group was significantly higher than that in control group,the level of EPO in NVG group was significantly higher than that in POAG group and PXFG group (P< 0.01).But the level of EPO between POAG group and PXFG group had no significant difference (P > 0.05).The level of EPO in PXFG group with intraocular pressure control patients was lower than that in POAG group with intraocular pressure control patients [(14.6 ± 1.4) U/L vs.(18.5 ± 6.2) U/L],the level of EPO in PXFG group with intraocular pressure nocontrol patients was higher than that in POAG group with intraocular pressure no-control patients [(28.5 ±10.7) U/L vs.(19.2 ± 6.4) U/L],there was significant difference (P < 0.05).In PXFG group,the level of EPO had positive relationship with intraocular pressure (P < 0.05).The level of EPO in NVG group with intraocular pressure control and no-control patients was higher than that in POAG group and PXFG group with intraocular pressure control and no-control patients,there was significant difference (P < 0.05).Single factor analysis showed that intraocular pressure,type of glaucoma had correlation with the level of EPO (P <0.01).Multiple factors analysis showed that type of glaucoma was the main effective factor of the level of EPO (P < 0.01).Conclusions The level of EPO in POAG,PXFG and NVG patients is higher than that in single cataract patients.The associativity between the level of EPO and intraocular pressure in PXFG patients is higher than that in POAG and NVG patients.

7.Cultivation of comprehensive quality for students majored in medical imaging (ultrasonic medicine)

9.Effect of continuity of midwifery service model on delivery outcomes in pregnant women

Objective To explore the effect of continuity of midwifery service model on delivery outcomes in pregnant women. Methods From January 2015 to June 2016,100 single pregnant women with full-term and cephalic presentation who accepted midwife outpatient education were selected from our hospital and divided into observation group, at the same time,100 cases of full-term and cephalic presentation accepting obstetrics regular check as control group. Both delivery methods and total labor time were compared between two groups; the rates of episiotomy, weight gain during pregnancy, postpartum hemorrhage, neonatal asphyxia and macrosomia were all observed. Results The observation group maternal weight gained, the total labor time were (12.26±0.95) kg, (445.21±246.34) min, the control group were (14.48± 1.89) kg, (642.26±258.81) min, there wwa significant difference (t=-10.534,-3.456, P < 0.01).The observation group cesarean section rate, postpartum hemorrhage rate, the rate of fetal macrosomia were 29%(29/100), 2%(2/100), 3%(3/100), the control group were 45%(45/100),10%(10/100),12%(12/100), there was significant difference (χ2=7.040, 5.674, 5.838, P<0.05). In the observation group, the rate of perineal resection were 26% (26/100) and 0 respectively, the control group were 30%(30/100) and 2% (2/100), there was no difference between the two groups (χ2=1.109, 2.020, P > 0.05). Conclusions Continuous care provided by midwife can effectively promote natural birth, reduce the incidences of macrosomia and postpartum hemorrhage, enhance the quality of obstetric services, is worth promoting in clinical application.
10.Advancement of biological therapy for autoimmune diseases

Treating autoimmune diseases(AID) is a challenge for physicians.Traditionally,we use cortisone or other immune inhibitors to treat AID although we know that these kinds of drugs can cause some severe toxic action on patients if used longer.For over ten years,the biological therapy for AID,which specially targets to the pathogenesis of AID,has long been engaged in the study.These new drugs can protect the normal immune system while stopping undesirable immune reaction to the target organ.
