5.Clinical characteristics of influenza virus infection and risk factors analysis of severe cases in children
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2021;28(5):376-379
Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics and laboratory examinations of hospitalized children with influenza, and improve medical personal awareness of severe influenza. Methods:Data of inpatients with influenza from November 2018 to February 2019 at Shenzhen Children′s Hospital was collected, and the clinical characteristics and laboratory examinations were statistical analyzed. Results:Of the 702 cases, 464(66.1%) cases were mild influenza, and 238 cases(33.9%)were severe influenza; the median age was 3.8 years, and 457(65.1%) cases were 0 to 5 years old.The number of patients with basic diseases and wheezing symptoms in the severe group was more than those in the mild group, with statistically significant differences(all P<0.05). The white blood cell count, percentage of neutrophils, neutrophils to lymphocytes ratio(NLR), C-reactive protein and procalcitonin in the severe group were higher than those in the mild group, while the percentage of lymphocytes was lower than that in the mild group(all P<0.05). Logistic multivariate regression analysis showed that underlying diseases, wheezing and NLR were risk factors for severe influenza. The area under the curve of NLR for severe influenza was 0.574, whose best cutoff value was 1.43. Conclusion:Influenza virus infection among children is mainly influenza A, and mostly affected children are under 5 years old.The blood routine of children with severe influenza mostly showes increased white blood cell, mainly neutrophils increased significantly, and increased C-reactive protein and procalcitonin.Children with underlying diseases, wheezing symptoms during the course of the disease, and elevated NLR are more likely to progress to severe cases, and NLR cannot be used as a independent predictor of severe influenza.
6.Clinical observation of external dacryocystorhinostomy without packing anastomosis cavity
International Eye Science 2014;(10):1895-1897
AIM:To find an efficient and simple surgical procedure of the external dacryocystorhinostomy ( EXT- DCR) in the treatment of chronic dacryocystitis.
METHODS:A total of 270 cases were performed in this retrospective study. A comparison of clinical effects and hemorrhage complications between the experimental group, in which 189 eyes of 167 patients that underwent traditional EXT-DCR without packing, and the control group, in which 121 eyes of 103 patients that underwent traditional EXT-DCR with Vaseline gauze were performed. The postoperative follow-up ranged from 6 to 36mo ( the mean follow-up was 15±3. 6mo).
RESULTS: There were no significant differences in the curative rates between the two groups (97. 9% vs 97. 5%, P>0. 05). But the incidence rate of moderate or severe postoperative nasal bleeding was lower in the experimental group (15. 9%, 30 eyes) than the control group (31. 4%, 38 eyes) and P<0. 01.
CONLUSION: The traditional EXT - DCR without packingis an effective procedure and is more effective in reducing moderate or severe postoperative bleeding when the intraoperative anastomose and the postoperative drainage are well done and the intraoperative bleeding is well controlled.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2016;20(37):5580-5587
BACKGROUND:Mkx (Mohawk, transcription factor) is one of the crucial factors in tendon formation, development and differentiation.
OBJECTIVE:To summarize the molecular structure, distribution and function of Mkx and its research process in the signaling pathways during tendon differentiation.
METHODS:The first author retrieved the databases of CqVip, CNKI and Medline from1990 to 2016 using the keywords of“Mkx, Mohawk, Irxl, tendon, tendon differentiation, tissue engineering, TGFβ, stem cel”in Chinese and English, respectively. The articles related to research process of Mkx in tendon tissue engineering were retrieved, and a total of 55 literatures were enrol ed final y.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Mkx that expresses in various mesoderm-derived tissues plays an important role in the formation and development of tendon and tissue-engineered tendon formation. Although Mkx does not directly act on Scx (Scleraxis), it can regulate the differentiation of tendon progenitor cel s via transforming growth factor-β2 signaling pathway. Cel s from different species and different cel lines as wel as various cytokines for certain make different effects on Mkx involved in tendon tissue engineering.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2011;10(9):675-676
To compare the postobturation pain and therapeutic effects in root canal therapy between two root canal filling materials: AH Plus and zinc oxide eugonol. Four hundred and twenty four teeth requiring root canal therapy were randomly divided into 2 groups: AH Plus ( trial group ) or zinc oxide eugonol ( control group) were used in treatment respectively. The pain intensity after treatment was evaluated by visual analogue scale. The therapeutic effects were evaluated by follow-up for 6 and 12 months. The pain intensity of trial group was significantly lower than that of the control group in 3rd and 7th day[8. 5% ( 18/212) vs. 15.6% (33/212),5.2% (11/212) vs. 14.6% (31/212),both P <0.05]. There were no significant differences in effictive rate between two groups after follow-up for 6 and 12 months[92. 5% ( 196/212) vs. 89. 6% ( 190/212 ) ,91.5% ( 194/212 ) vs. 88.7% ( 188/212 ), both P > 0. 05]. AH Plus root canal filling paste used in root canal therapy can significantly decrease postoperative pain.

Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(04):-
AIM:To optimize the technical parameters indica-daisy dropping pill(Flos chrysanthemi indici) through controlling the influencing factors. METHODS:To take weight variation of pills, comprehensive quality and disintegration time limited as index, the above factors were observed by orthogonal test. RESULTS:Good technological parameters of indica-daisy dropping pill were as follows PEG6000∶PEG400=54∶6 as matrix, dimethicone as refrigerant.Temperature of drug fluids of 70 ℃,internal and external diameter of dropper within 6.2 mm and 9.0 mm,proportion of drug and matrix(1∶3),30 dropping per minute. The weight variation of pills was small, type quality was good and disintegration time limited was short. The water absorbability was smaller than that of granules. CONCLUSION:The finished products are of good quality and appropriate for mass production.
