3.Expression of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha, vascular endothelial growth factor and angiopoie-tin-2 in tissues of condyloma acuminatum in pregnant women
Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2009;42(5):324-326
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha (HIF- 1α), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2) in tissues of condy- loma acuminatum (CA) in pregnant women. Methods Tissue specimens were obtained from the lesions of 30 pregnant women with CA and 30 non-pregnant women with CA, and from the vulva of 15 normal preg- nant women. By immunohistochemical staining, the expressions of HIF -1α, VEGF and Ang-2 were detected in these specimens. Results The expression rates of HIF -1α,VEGF and Ang-2 were 86.67%, 93.33% and 83.33% in pregnant women with CA, respectively, 63.33%, 66.67% and 53.33% in non-pregnant women with CA, respectively, and 0, 6.67% and 0 in normal women, respectively. Enhanced expressions of HIF -1α,VEGF and Ang-2 were observed in pregnant women with CA compared with the latter two groups (P < 0.05). In pregnant women with CA, a significant correlation was noted between the expression of HIF -1α and VEGF (r = 0.412, P < 0.01) and between the expression of Ang-2 and VEGF (r = 0.460, P < 0.01). Further more, the expression of HIF -1α, VEGF and Ang-2 positively correlated with each other in non-preg- nant women with CA. Conclusion In tissues of CA in pregnant women, HIF-1α,Ang-2 and VEGF are over expressed, which may be related to angiogenesis.
4.Supercritical CO_2 extraction of atractylenolide Ⅰ from Atractylodes macrocephala
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the extraction technique for atractylenolide Ⅰ in Atractylodes macrocephala by supercritical CO_2 fluid extraction and develop a method used for determining the content of atractylenolide Ⅰ in the extract by HPLC. Methods The effects of seven facters, such as the extracting pressure, resolving pressure etc, to the extraction rate of atractylenolide Ⅰ in A. macrocephala by supercritical CO_2 extraction were investigated. RP-HPLC was used to determine the content of atractylenolide Ⅰ in extraction of A. macrocephala. The separation was performed on Hypersil ODS2 column with methanol-water (70∶30) as mobile phase. The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min and the wavelength of UV detector was 220 nm. Results The optimal extracting conditions: taking 10% alcohol as entraiter, the particle size of medicinal substances was 60 screen meshes, extracting pressure 25 MPa, resolving pressure 5 MPa, extracting temperature 40 ℃, resolving temperature 30 ℃, and the extracting time 4 h. Conclusion Supercritical extraction is time-shorter and efficient in extracting atractylenolide Ⅰ from A. macrocephala. It is suitable to both trial and industrialized production. The method established to determine the content of atractylenolide Ⅰ of A. macrocephala by supercritical extraction is simple, sensitive, and reliable.
5.Research Progress of Acupuncture-moxibustion for Post-traumatic Brain Syndrome
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2017;36(7):881-885
Post-traumatic brain syndrome is a common disease in neurosurgery department, referring to a variety of neurological symptoms after brain traumas. Currently, research shows that this disease involves the fields of neurologic anatomy, pathology, trauma mechanics, neurobiochemistry, cerebral hemodynamics, etc, and the treatment majorly includes medication, hyperbaric oxygen, and psychotherapy, but they don't work so well. In primary hospitals, the convenient, low-cost and safe acupuncture-moxibustion therapy should be paid more attention. By retrieving literatures during the latest 10 years, this article has concluded that the acupuncture-moxibustion treatments for this disease covered acupuncture, auricular acupoint therapy, bloodletting therapy, and moxibustion, and the action mechanisms were mostly the improvement of cerebral circulation and cerebral metabolism, and the change of neurotransmitters and cytokines. The improvement of cerebral circulation and increase of cerebral blood flow can be taken as the future direction in the research on acupuncture-moxibustion for this disease. However, in the treatment of post-traumatic brain syndrome with acupuncture-moxibustion, it still requires the standardization of acupuncture and the objectification of evaluation indexes.

Chinese Journal of Endemiology 2011;30(2):208-210
Objective To find out demography characteristic and risk behaviors of occupation groups and to evaluate the effect of health education. Methods A baseline survey was conducted among occupation groups in the western part of Liaoning province by stratified random cluster sampling. Health education started to intervene in occupation groups in Linghai city of Liaoning province. An investigation of brucellosis related behaviors was carried out before and after a health education among occupation groups. Other occupational groups were as the control group. The research on high-risk behaviors of occupation groups was in the following eight aspects: protection taken when contact with abortion livestock, timely slaughter and burying deeply of sick animals, not selling sick animals do not eat dead meat, nor drink raw milk, do not eat raw meat, and immunity of livestock. Results Before the intervention, a total of 916 objects, of which intervention group 499 and control group 417 were investigated. The high-risk behaviors of brucellosis were not significantly different between the two groups[70.9% (354/499), 64.3%(321/499 ), 53.8% (268/499), 92.2% (460/499), 82.2% (410/499 ), 87.5% (437/499), 93.6% (467/499), 56.2%(280/499) in intervention group, 68.8% (287/417), 59.2% (247/417 ), 54.7% (228/417), 89.2% (372/417 ), 85.6%(360/417) ,885%(369/417),94.0%(392/417),55.9%(233/417) in control group, all P > 0.05]. After the intervention,a total of 908 survey objects, of which intervention group 499 and control group 409, were investigated. The above eight aspects of high-risk behaviors in the intervention group were 85.4% (426/499),79.0% (394/499),69.9%(349/499),96.4%(481/499),943%(471/499),94.9%(474/499),94.0%(469/499), 99.4%(496/499), respectively; in the control 66.8% (273/409),57.3% (234/409),50.1% (205/409),85.3% (349/409),88.8% (363/409),89.5%(366/409) ,90.1% (369/409), and 57.2% (234/409), respectively. Between the two groups, the difference was statistically significant (x2 = 43.991,49.833,37.111,35.032,9.537,9.826,4.485,253.808, all P < 0.05 ). The above seven aspects of high-risk behaviors except do not eat raw dairy at the beginning of intervention were compared with those of after the intervention, the differences were statistically significant (x2 = 30.426,26.284,27.854,7.364,36.027,17.238,9270.286, all P < 0.05). Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(1):77-79
Professor XIE Qiang's Tihu Guanding needling method, a kind of acupuncture method which takes acupoints of the Conception Vessel as the primary and acupoints of the Governor Vessel as the secondary. Acupoints Lianquan (CV 23), Tiantu (CV 22), Qihai (CV 6), Zhongwan (CV 12), Baihui (GV 20) and Dazhui (GV 14) are adopted as the basic ones. Other points can be added according to various symptoms, for instance, Yingxiang (LI 20) and Yintang (GV 29) for rhinopathy, Tinggong (SI 19) and Yifeng (TE 17) for otopathy, Yan'an (Professor XIE's experience) and Shanglianquan (EX-HN 21) for pharyngopathy and Kaiyin 1 (Professor XIE's experience) and Kaiyin 2 (Professor XIE's experience) for laryngopathy. During the needle retention, rotation manipulation should be done every 5 min at Lianquan (CV 23). And the patient should be told to put the tip of one's tongue at the the palate as well as to do deep breathing to communicate the Conception Vessel and the Governor Vessel. Moxibustion is adopted at Yongquan (KI 1) to induce the up floating fire to mingmen (where the primary yang is stored). The therapeutic effect on treatment of persistent otorhinolaryngologic diseases with the above mentioned method is approve to be good.
