Objective:To observe the consistence of the color and optical parameters of metal-ceramic, all-ceramic and composite resin with Vita Classical shade guides. Objective To investigate teaching situation of Introduction to Medicine at SJTUSM,and to make more progress in educational reforms. Methods By analyzing questionnaire and test paper,the relevant information was collected and analyzed by SPSS statistics software. Results Teaching the course at SJTUSM was basically satisfactory. Conclusion The investigation showed that the teaching quality of the course is being improved. However,the quality guarantee system of teaching process needs to be further perfected.

Objective:To observe mutagenesis of retrovirus and adenovirus as transgenic vector,and provide safe clinic evidence for transgenic tumor cell as tumor vaccin.Methods:Cells were cultured together with virus.Then,DNA and supernatant were carried on an in vestigation in mutagenesis by means of laboratory technique about genetic toxicology.Results:The result indicated that DNA and supernatant of transgenic cell had no mutagenesis through test both In vivo and in vitroConclusion:The virus modified had no mutagenesis as transgenic vector.

Objective: To investigate the effects of folic acid (FA), vitamin B6 (VB6) and B12 (VB12) on plasma homocysteine (Hcy) and antioxidative activities in focal cerebral ischemia rats. Method: Rats were randomly divided into four groups including sham operation (Sham), middle cerebral artery occlusion model (MCAO), MCAO+FA and MCAO+FA +VB6+VB12(MCAO+CV). MCAO model was induced by operation. Plasma Hcy, serum and brain SOD and GSH-Px activities and MDA content in rats were measured before and 28 d after supplementation and 24 h after ischemia or only after ischemia. Results: Plasma Hcy in MCAO+FA and MCAO+CV group were significantly lower than those in Sham and MCAO groups after supplementation and ischemia, and the MCAO+CV group lower than MCAO+FA group. Serum and brain SOD and GSH-Px activities were significantly higher, and MDA contents lower in MCAO+FA and MCAO+CV groups than those in MCAO group. Conclusion: Supplementing FA, VB6 and VB12 can reduce plasma Hcy, improve antioxidative abilities and decrease the injury by oxidative stress following cerebral ischemia.
7.EFFECTS OF GENISTEIN ON THE EXPRESSION OF COLLAGEN I AND TRANSFORMING GROWTH FACTOR-?_1 OF OSTEOBLAST

Objective To investigate the effects of genistein(GEN) on the expression of collagen I and transforming growth factor-?1(TGF-?1 ) of osteoblast.Method The secondary generation of skull osteoblast of newborn SD rat was incubated with GEN.The cells were divided into six groups:control group,different dose of GEN(10-8,10-7,10-6,10-5mol/L,respectively) groups and E2 group( 10-10mol/L).MTT(OD),the contents of cell protein,the activity of alkaline phosphatase(ALP),the expression of collagen I and the content of TGF-?1 were detected.Results After 48h and 72h,the MTT(OD) of all GEN group and E2 group were significantly higher than those in control group.The MTT(OD) of control group and 10-8,10-7,10-6mol/L GEN groups in 72h were significantly higher than those in 48 h.The protein of 10-5,10-6 mol/L GEN group and E2 group were significantly higher than those in control group.The ALP activity of all GEN groups and E2 group were significantly higher than those in control group.The level of above indices were correlated with the dose of GEN.The expression of collagen I and the content of TGF-?1 in 10-7,10-6,10-5mol/L GEN group and E2 groups were higher than those in control group.They werecorrelated with the dose of GEN and TGF-?1.Conclusion GEN could stimulate proliferation and differentiation of osteoblast,and enhance the expression of collagen I and content of TGF?-1.Compared with E2,,there were similar effects with the higher dosage of GEN.
8.The Clinical Significance of Determination of plasma Factor Ⅷ Related Antigen

The determination of plasma factor Ⅷ related antigen (ⅧR:Ag) is a new method to estimate the function of blood coagulation introduced only recently. The concentration of this substance of 50 patients ill with chronic renal failure, neoplastic diseases, diabetes mellitus, (all these diseases were complicated with vascular changes) and 60 normal persons were determined.The data obtained showed that the concentration of plasma factor Ⅷ related antigen was significantly increased in all the 50 patients in comparing with the normal, and the increase was most marked in those patients with malignant diseases. The clinical significance of this phenomenon was discussed and it was suggested that the increase of this plasma factor Ⅷ related antigen might reflect the severity of the damage of the vascular endothelial cells in these patients.

Objective To analyze the image diagnosis and differential diagnosis of bone destruction with soft-tissue tumor in sacrum.Methods 26 cases patient proved by surgically and pathologically were retrospectively reviewed, including chordoma (n=8) , giant cell tumor (n=5), tuberculosis(n=5),metastatic cancer(n=3), sarcoma(n=2), and malignant neurofibroma, osteomyelitis, eosinophilic granuloma in one each.Results All cases image manifested as different kinds of bone destruction and soft-tissue tumor in sacrum , pelvis organ were moved.Conclusion A reliable diagnosis can be made by the shape a bone destruction , location characterization of soft-tissue tumor and the age.
10.Treatment of acute deep venous thrombosis of left lower extremity accompanied with Cockett syndrome

Objective To explore the effective treatment of acute deep venous thrombosis(DVT) of left lower extremity accompanied with Cockett syndrome.Methods The data of 16 patients with acute DVT of left lower extremity accompanied with Cockett syndrome,who were admitted to our hospital from August,2004 to January,2008,were analyzed retrospectively.Inferior vena caval filters were inserted and thrombectomy was done to all of the 16 patients;PTA and stent insertion were done in 13 patients and PTA only in the other 3 patients.Anticoagulation,thrombolysis and antiplatelet therapy were given postoperatively to all the patients.Results There was no death or pulmonary embolism in all 16 patients;Forteen patieats had good outcome,2 had acute DVT of left lower extremity one day after surgery,and limbs swelling subsided after anticoagulation,thrombolysis and antiplatelet treatment before their discharge.Forteen patients were followed up from 1 month to 25 months(average 11 months),and 2 patients had post-DVT syndrome,but the others had no swelling or varicose veins of the lower extremity.Conclusions Most patients with acute DVT of left lower extremity accompanied with Cockett syndrome could get satisfactory outcome with thrombectomy,PTA and stent insertion.
