Elastofibroma is a rare disease which presents as a slowly-growing, solid, ill-defined fibroelastic mass occuring almost exclusively in elderly women and arising mainly from the connective tissue between the lower part of the scapula and chest wall. Of the 270 cases of elastofibroma which have been reported, 170 cases had developed in Japanese patients. Despite the fact that there have been only two case reports in Korea, there might be a higher prevalence of elastofibroma in Korea than expected because of geographical similarity. We experienced a case of elastofibroma occurring in a 56-year-old man. To our knowledge, this is the first case report of elastofibroma in Korean dermatologic of literature.

2.Factors Affecting Intraocular Pressure after Laser Iridotomy in Fellow Eye with Acute Angle Closure Glaucoma
Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 2020;61(12):1493-1499
Purpose:
To investigate the factors affecting intraocular pressure (IOP) change after prophylactic laser iridotomy (LI) in the fellow eye with acute angle closure glaucoma.
Methods:
Twenty-three subjects with acute primary angle closure glaucoma, who had undergone prophylactic LI in the fellow eye were enrolled in this study. IOP was measured before and 1 week after prophylactic LI. Compared with a week after and before the prophylactic LI, eleven eyes with the IOP reduction of 20% or more were classified into A group and twelve eyes with an IOP reduction of 20% or less were classified as B group. Anterior segment parameters were measured using anterior segment swept source optical coherence tomography.
Results:
The mean age, the best corrected visual acuity, the baseline IOP and the axial length were not significantly different between the two groups (p > 0.05). The IOP after prophylactic LI was significantly different between the two groups (group A 11.36 ± 1.96 mmHg, Group B 13.50 ± 1.83 mmHg; p = 0.013). There was a significant difference in IOP change rate of the two groups (Group A 29.78 ± 11.09%, Group B 9.14 ± 5.91%; p < 0.001). In multiple regression analysis, only the anterior chamber depth was significantly associated with the IOP change rate (p = 0.011).
Conclusions
The anterior chamber depth is associated with the change of IOP after prophylactic LI in the fellow eye with acute primary angle closure glaucoma. If the anterior chamber depth is shallow, it is highly likely that the change of IOP is relatively small. Therefore, the anterior chamber depth must be considered in assessing the effectiveness of prophylactic LI.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 2018;59(10):938-945
PURPOSE: To investigate longitudinal changes in the thicknesses of the peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (pRNFL) and the macular ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (mGCIPL) in patients with diabetic retinopathy 3 years after panretinal photocoagulation (PRP). METHODS: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 60 eyes of 35 patients who were diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy and treated with PRP. The pRNFL and mGCIPL thicknesses were measured by optical coherence tomography at baseline, and then at 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 24, and 36 months after PRP. RESULTS: The pRNFL and mGCIPL thicknesses (average and all sections) at 1 year after PRP increased significantly from baseline (p < 0.05, respectively). The average pRNFL and mGCIPL thicknesses showed a tendency to decrease continuously from 2 years after PRP (p < 0.05, respectively). There was no statistically significant difference in the average thicknesses of the pRNFL and the mGCIPL between pre-PRP (92.27 ± 7.76 µm, and 85.00 ± 4.80 µm, respectively) and 3 years after PRP (93.93 ± 7.49 µm, and 81.87 ± 14.00 µm, respectively) (p = 0.121, and p = 0.622, respectively). CONCLUSIONS: Although the pRNFL and the mGCIPL thicknesses increased at 1 year after PRP, there was no statistical difference in the average thicknesses of the pRNFL and the mGCIPL between pre-PRP and 3 years after PRP. These results should be considered with respect to the diagnosis and progression of glaucoma in patients with diabetic retinopathy who undergo PRP.

Psychiatry Investigation 2021;18(10):997-1005
Objective:
The aim of this study was to verify the effects of stress on compulsive sexual behavior disorder and the mediating effects of active coping strategies and self-control.
Methods:
A self-reporting scale was administered to 300 adults aged 20 to 39, and the collected data were analyzed. The measures used for the study included a perceived stress scale, the way of coping checklist, a brief self-control scale, and an online compulsive sexual behavior disorder scale.
Results:
The correlations between stress and active coping strategy, stress and lack of self-control, and lack of self-control and compulsive sexual behavior disorder were -0.18 (p<0.01), 0.38 (p<0.01), and 0.26 (p<0.01), respectively.
Conclusion
First, stress level was positively correlated with compulsive sexual behavior disorder. Second, self-control completely mediates the relationship between stress and compulsive sexual behavior disorder. Third, self-control and active coping strategies had sequential mediating effects in that order.

Psychiatry Investigation 2021;18(8):779-788
Objective:
This study examined the mediating effect of mindfulness and consciousness among five factors on the effect of stress on Internet game addiction tendency.
Methods:
An online survey was conducted on 400 men and women between their 20s and 40s across Korea. The scales used in the study were the Internet game addiction scale based on the DSM-5, Perceived Stress Scale, Mindfulness Scale, and Five-Factor Personality Scale. For data analysis, structural equation modeling was conducted, and Sobel verification was carried out to verify the significance of the mediating effects.
Results:
The results of the study are as follows: Stress showed a positive correlation with Internet game addiction tendency, mindfulness mediated the effect of stress on Internet game addiction tendency.
Conclusion
Of the five personality factors, conscientiousness also mediated the effect of stress on Internet game addiction tendency. This study highlights the need for further research for individuals with game addiction tendency.
