2.Relationship of chronic hepatitis C with interferon treatment and thyroid diseases
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2013;29(7):631-633
The article explores the relationship of the hepatitis C virus infection with interferon treatment and thyroid diseases and reviews the subtypes of the thyroid diseases.Autoimmune and nonautoimmune cases of thyroiditis are often seen in patients with chronic hepatitis C while undergoing interferon treatment, especially in females with positive thyroid autoantibodies.Graves' disease is very rare. The thyroid function may be as a transient thyrotoxicosis, then followed by hypothyroidism. The thyroid function in patients with nonautoimmune thyroiditis is usually easy to recover.
3.Cellular immunoresponse in patients with severe drug resistance-falciparum malaria and results of combined treatment of quinin, SMP and thymogen
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):7-11
The study was carried out on 52 patients with severe falciparum malaria: 26 cases were treated by quinine, SMP in combination with Thymogene (control group). The results showed that: There is a reduction on cellular immune response in severe malaria. Thymogen has contributed to increase the immune response in comparison with this before treatment. Thymogen has contributed shortening time to defervescence, clearance of parasitaemia and coma duration in 2-days after treatment in comparison to control group. Thymogen also has contributed reducing mortality in severe malaria

6.Clinical research on the surgery treatment for prostate hyperplasia together with bladder tumor simultaneously
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2013;20(7):1005-1008
Objective To explore the effect of the electrocision treatment for the same period of the prostatic hyperplasia and bladder cancer patients. Methods Doing the grouping therapy for 166 patients in our hospital who have agreed on the research.Group A:doing the bladder tumor part electricity cutting surgery and removing the prostate gland excision above pubis simultaneously,60 cases,Group B:doing the bladder tumor part electricity cutting surgery and the prostate gland excision transurethral resection electricity cutting simultaneously,66 cases,Group C:only doing the bladder tumor part electricity cutting surgery transurethral resection,44 cases. Results (1) Patients' recovering situation in group A was close to that of patients in group B,but operation time and average hospitalization time was (43.2 ± 16.7) min and (11.3 ± 2.4) d,which were obviously lower than those of group A (P < 0.05).The amount of blood loss of group B was (119.5 ± 72.1) ml,which was obviously less than that of group A(P < 0.05).While the lien urine tube time of group B was (8.6 ± 2.4)d,less than group A.(2)Patients of group A and group B's dysuresia had been improved obviously after the operation. There were only 3.2% of the patients in group A and group B appearing dysuresia after the operation, but in the group C there was still 28.5% having dysuresia after the operation,(3)The incidence rate of intraoperative complications was the highest in group A(33.2%),next group C (21.3%),the lowest group B(12.6%).(4) Follow-up 1 year, the recurrent rate of the bladder tumor in group A was 25.3%,group B 18.2%,group C 23.7%,all the tumor recurrences are ectopic recurrences, and after the further consultation, none of those patients taking the electricity cutting surgery relapse again. Conclusions Patients who have Prostate hyperplasia and bladder cancer can avoid the pain of second surgery by taking the electricity cutting surgery, shorten their length of time in hospital, and reduce the costs of health care.Compared with traditional methods, the method of operation is safe relatively, and can control the incidence of complication effectively. From the follow-up visiting,we can find that this surgery has many advantages such as the reliable curative effect, and the lower recurrent rate,so it can be used widely for reference.
7.Mechanism of insulin resistance induced by bisphenol A
International Journal of Pediatrics 2013;(2):122-125
Bisphenol A(BPA) is one of the environmental endocrine disruptors with estrogenic properties, and it is also one of the most widespread compounds in the manufacture of polycarbonate plastics. Many studies confirmed that BPA exposure for long-term could lead to obesity, precocious puberty, insulin resistance (IR) et al.IR was defined as the decrease sensitivity in insulin action on the target tissues, which would result in impaired glucose tolerance and diabetes.A number of experiments and clinical investigations found that BPA could induce IR by affecting the function of islet beta cell, glucose transporter and adiponectin secretion. This review aims to summarize the mechanism of IR induced by BPA.
8.Analysis of relative factors for drug-induced hypoglycemia in elderly diabetic patients
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2014;33(2):163-165
Objective To analyze the risk factors for drug-induced hypoglycemia in elderly diabetic patients, and to provide the basis for clinical prevention and treatment. Methods 78 cases with drug-induced hypoglycemia in elderly diabetic patients (observation group) and 256 elderly diabetic patients without drug-induced hypoglycemia(control group) were included, and the relative factors for drug-induced hypoglycemia were analyzed between the two groups. Results The stable rate of patient's condition was lower in observation group than in control group [38.5% (30/78) vs.52.7%(135/256),x2 =4.872,P<0.05].There were 9 cases (11.5%)、with alimentary control,28 cases (35.9%) treated with insulin and 41 cases (52.6%) treated with sulfonamide in observation group, and 89 cases (35.9%) with alimentary control,89 cases (34.8%) treated with insulin and 78 cases (30.4%) treated with sulfonamide in control group. The alimentary control was lower in observation group than in control group(x2 =15.557,P<0.001).There was no difference in successful rate of insulin treatment between the two groups(x2 =0.034,P>0.05).The successful rate of sulfonamide treatment was higher in observation group than in control group(x2 =12.726,P< 0.001).The age was older in observation group than in control group(t=2.494,P<0.01).The body mass indexes and glycosylated hemoglobin level were lower in observation group than in control group(t=4.334 and 7.251,both P<0.001).There were no differences in fasting blood-glucose and serum creatinine levels between the two groups(t=1.010 and 0.297,both P>0.05).The course of diabetes was longer in observation group than in control group(t=2.579,P<0.01).Conclusions The relative factors for drug-induced hypoglycemia in elderly diabetic patients include older age, longer course of diabetes, lower body mass index, lower fasting blood-glucose level, poorer glycemic control and higher dose of sulfonamide treatment.
9.Methodological study on the animal model of aplastic anemia
International Journal of Pediatrics 2014;41(1):72-75
Aplastic anemia (AA) animal models can be established by the methods such as physics, chemistry, physical chemistry, immunology and others. However, there are some disadvantages in these animal AA models. On the basis of clinical manifestations, peripheral blood cells, reticulocyte count, bone marrow nucleated cell count, pathology, lymphocyte subsets and immune function and other aspects from animal model,a comprehensive analysis of these four methods was taken,to find a new simple, effective and stable animal model of AA.
