Objective To observe the clinical effects of modified Shengxian decoction in the treatment of thyroid cancer postoperative hypothyroidism patients.Methods 60 patients of thyroid cancer postoperative hypothyroidism due to deficiency of spleen and kidney were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group.The control group (28 cases) was by levothyroxine sodium tablets conventional treatment,while the treatment group (32 cases) was treated with Shengxian decoction based on thecontrol group.The changes of the symptom integral and HAMD-17 were observed between two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the total effective rate was 87.5％ in the treatment group and 64.3％ in the control group,the clinical effect of treatment group was significantly better than the control group (x2=4.499,P＜ 0.05).After treatment,the total score of HAMD-17 was 6.8±2.3 in the treatment group and 15.8±2.1 in the control group,both significantly improved than that before the treatment (which were 19.4±1.45 and 18.9± 1.32 respectively).Compared with the control group,the treatment group improved significantly (P＜ 0.01).Conclusion Shengxian decoction plus western medicine has remarkable curative effect in the treatment of thyroid cancer postoperative hypothyroidism,it can improve the depressive state of patients and improve the quality of life.

Objective To explore the effect of Valpar occupational assessment training system on cognitive dysfunction in schizophrenia. Methods Sixty patients with schizophrenia were randomly assigned into Valpar therapy group ( experiment group, n=30) and traditional rehabilitation therapy group ( control group, n=30) according to the order number. The duration of the treatment was six weeks. The brief assess?ment of cognition in schizophrenia ( BACS) and Wisconsin card sorting test ( WCST) were conducted as pre?and post?treatment assessment. Results There were significant differences between scores of BASC in pre?and post?treatment assessment in experiment group. More specifically, the BASC scores in symbol coding (37.50±6.50, t=-4.60, P<0.01),token movement(60.80±8.72, t=-2.54, P=0.017),verbal memory (44.40±11.29, t=-2.19, P=0.037)),and word fluency(14.23±4.35, t=-3.39, P=0.002) were signifi?cantly different when comparing pre?and post?treatment assessment outcomes. In control group,the only sig?nificant difference was found in word fluency (14.23±4.35, t=-3.39, P=0.002).In addition,response errors (57.80±10.35, t=-3.06, P=0.005) and repeat errors (34.67±6.96, t=3.41, P=0.002) in WCST in exper?iment group were significantly different in pre?and post?treatment assessment while only repeat errors (34.30 ±7.01, t=4.36, P=0.000) was different in control group. It was further discovered that scores in in symbol cod?ing( t=2.010, P=0.048),token movement ( t=2.124, P=0.038),response errors ( t=2.413, P=0.020) and repeat errors( t=2.009, P=0.047) in WCST were different between two groups. Conclusion Valpar professional evaluation train?ing system can significantly improve the cognitive function of people with schizophrenia.

ObjectiveTo compare the effect and prognosis of two kinds of internal fixation (improved Giebel blade plate and traditional straddle nail) after high tibial osteotomy (HTO) on osteoarthritis of knee with genu varus deformity. Methods37 knees of 32 cases were treated with straddle nail (25 knees) or Giebel blade plate (12 knees). All the cases were followed up for 6～28 months. ResultsThe clinical bone healing time of osteotomy was 8～12 weeks. There was no significant differences between 2 groups in the increased score in HSS Standard and in the clinical bone healing time. ConclusionBoth internal fixation with improved Giebel blade plate and traditional straddle nail get similarly satisfactory prognosis, while the former shows more advantages to allow early functional exercises.
