Objective To illustrate the expressional distribution of heat shock protein 70(HSP 70) in the kidney of acute renal injury rats caused by gentamicin.Methods One hundred and fifty rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: group A (normal group), group B [80 mg/(kg?d) gentamicin to be injected], group C [160 mg/(kg?d) gentamicin to be given]. The variations of renal pathology were observed at different time phasess by light scope and electromicroscope. Simultaneously, the expression of HSP 70 in kidney was evaluated by immunohistochemistry.Results HSP 70 distributed in epithelial cells of renal tubular in acute injury rats. The expression of HSP 70 increased markedly from the 6th hour after injection, peaked at the 12th hour and lasted for 48 hours. The expression of HSP 70 in group C was higher than that in group B(P

OBJECTIVE: To develop the accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) for determining pesticides present in blood samples. METHODS: Pesticides were extracted by ASE with optimized parameters to study recovery rate affected by extraction temperature, time and agent. GC/MS was used to perform quantitative analysis. RESULTS: The recovery rates of eight pesticides were 70.6%-92.4%. The coefficient of variation was less than 5.0%. A good linear relationship was obtained at the concentration range of 0.5-5.0 microg/mL. CONCLUSION The method was fast and simple with high recovery rate and good repeatability. It can be applied to analyze pesticides present in the blood specimen.

OBJECTIVE: To establish the solid phase extraction (SPE) with GC/MS technology for fish poisoning cases to determine five pesticides in fishpond. METHODS: By three solid phase extraction column including Oasis HLB cartridge, Bond Elut C18 and SampliQ C18, the recovery rate was compared to extract and purify five pesticides in fishpond. The effects of different kinds and dosages of eluents on extract rate were also reviewed. RESULTS Using Bond Elut C18 as solid phase extraction column and 3 mL benzene as eluent, the linear range of mass concentration of five pesticides in fishpond was 1-50 μg/mL, and the correlation coefficient was 0.996 2-0.999 6. The limit of detection was 3.4-26 μg/L and the recovery was 61.49%-102.48%. The relative standard deviations was less than or equal to 3.01%. CONCLU-SION: With high sensitivity, good accuracy and precision, SPE-GC/MS has simple and quick operation and less solvent. It can be applied to determination of five pesticides in fishpond.

Objective To evaluate the role of standard CPR training in Beijing Olympics medical volunteers by compared with the no-traimng medical personnel.Method Performance qualities of CPR was evaluated in the 44 medical vohmteers,who worked in a Beijing Olympic Venue.They received the training On standard CPR for 6 monthes,and served as training group.The performance of another 72 emergency medical workers from first-class hospitals without the training on stand CPR within 1 year(control group) Was compared with training group.Phillips QCPR3535 monitor was used to measure the compression frequency,depth and chest re-expand between the compression and the operation time via the sternal chest compression pad fitted with an accelerometer.Personal practical results of 5 circles of CPR operation were recorded in a table and the numbers ofpractical. Compression in one minute were counted.Data Were analyzed with chi-quare test and t-test.The parameters ofthe influence fac.tor(gender,age,hand placement,hand skill,compression posture and standard training)were brought into logistic regression analysis.Results Compared with the control group,the qualification rate of general CPR performance in the training group was much higher(86.4%vs.31.9%),and the compression cpmlification rates of the chestcompression,depth and chest re-palld betweenthe compression wcfe higher(88.6%,93.2%,95.5% vs.40.3%,43.0%,86.1%,P<0.01),the duration of ventilation in each operationstion was shorter[(6.38±1.3)vs.(7.57±1.6),P0.05],pratieal compressionn flberin oneminutewas not different[(77.2±3.5)vs.(77.8±12.2),P>0.05)],the ratios of the duration of compression to that of ventilation was higher(2.6:1 vs.2.1:1).Logistic analysis showed that hand skill,compression posture and standard CPR trainings were high correlated with the CPR performance qualities(P<0.05).Conclusions The performance quahty of training group is much higher thanthat ofcontrol group.The standard and continuous CPR training is elfecfive in improving the quality of CPR operation.

Objective:To purify HLA-DR molecules. Methods: Anti-HLA-DR antibody L243 was purified and coupled with CNBr activated Sepharose 4B gel. Immunoaffinity column was used to purify HLA-DR molecules. Results:Twenty micrograms of HLA-DR molecules were isolated from about 5 g Epstein-Barr virus-transformed human B lymphoblastoid cell line RAJI lysates by affinity chromatography. The purified HLA-DR molecules existed in α/β heterodimers form and could bind to conformation-dependent antibody L243. These HLA-DR molecules were separated into two strands,α and β,by boiling denaturation. These results are the basis for studying MHC Ⅱ binding peptide motif and CD4＋ T cell epitopes of antigens in future.

OBJECTIVE: To study the species of sarcosaphagous insects. METHODS: Rabbits were killed and placed outdoors from March to November. Flies that appeared the cadavers were observed and identified. RESULTS: There are five main flies, i.e., Muscadomesticauicina, Lucilia sericata, C. Megacephala, S. fuscicauda, Aldrichiragrahormi. From midtime of April to the beginning of October, Muscadomesticauicina could be seen on the cadvers, however, Aldrichiragrahormi only could be seen before the beginning of May. Otherwise, Lucilia sericata, C. Megacephala, S. fuscicauda could be seen on the cadvers from March to the end of October. After the midtime of November, none of sarcosaphagous flies could be seen on the cadvers. On the other hand, maggots of sarcosaphagous flies could be seen often on the cadvers after adults of sarcosaphagous flies intruding 1 to 4 days, relating to temperature of environment. CONCLUSION If these flies history of life be studied. it is useful for estimating postmortem interval in Chengdu.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to identify parental coping strategies in the face of early infant and toddler injury, and to provide basic data for a parental education program and the most desirable directions it should take. METHODS: A Q-methodology to analyze the subjectivity of each item was used. Thirty-four Q-statements were derived from a literature review and interviews. Forty-seven parents were classified into a shape of normal distribution using a 9-point scale. Collected data were analyzed by the pc-QUANL program. RESULTS: Five types of parental coping in early infant and toddler injury were identified. Type I was “hospital treatment focused”, type II was “Improving the safety of the child's environment”, type III was “expression of negative emotion”, type IV was “taking the lead in problem solving”, and type V was “Interrogating the person in charge of the situation in which the injury occurred”. CONCLUSION: The results of this study indicate that different approaches to educational programs can be used for parents in early childhood injury.
