OBJECTIVETo observe therapeutic effects of acupuncture at different acupoints on depression.
METHODSSeventy adult male rats with similar Open-Field score were randomly divided into a normal control group, a model group, a blank control group, a drug treatment group, an acupuncture group I ["Baihui" (GV 20), "Shenting" (GV 24)], II ]"Neiguan" (PC 6), "Sanyinjiao" (SP 6)], and III ("Baihui", "Shenting", "Neiguan" and 'Sanyinjiao"), 10 rats in each group. Separation feeding, long term unpredictability and medium stimulation stress techniques were applied to develop depression model rats. Changes of behaviors were investigated with Open-Field method and sucrose consumption trial.
RESULTSCompared with the normal control group, the score for the behavior and the consumption of sucrose reduced in the depression model group; compared with the blank control group, the score for the behavior and the consumption of sucrose increased in all the treatment groups during treatment. There was no significant difference among the acupuncture groups in the increase of behavior scores 21 days after treatment (P > 0.05), and there were significant differences in the increase of consumption of sucrose in the acupuncture group I and the increase of score for vertical movement in the acupuncture group III 14 days after treatment (P < 0.05, P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture can change the behavior abnormality induced by separation feeding, long term unpredictability and medium degree stimulation depression model rats and different acupoint selection is a factor in acuounture treatment.

Objective To explore the clinical value of 99Tcm-MIBI G-MPI in patients diagnosed with myocardial bridging(MB) by CTA. Methods Forty-five patients with MB and 17 normal controls diagnosed by CTA(64 slices CT) were included. All patients underwent rest 99Tcm-MIBI G-MPI and 17 MB patients and 9 normal controls also underwent stress 99Tcm-MIBI G-MPI. Myocardial ischemia, function and wall motion were assessed. G-MPI results were compared with CTA results by χ2 test, Fisher exact test and t test. Results In patients with MB, the positive rate of abnormal perfusion by gated stress 99Tcm-MIBI G-MPI was 64.7% (11/17) and 41.2% (7/17) using quantitative analysis and visual evaluation respectively; while the data were 42.2% (19/45) and 22.2% (10/45) by rest G-MPI (P=0.035). The positive rate by rest G-MPI in MB patients was significant different among mural coronary arteries of different depths and different locations. By quantitative analysis of the stress G-MPI, the reversible, fixed, and mixed ischemia patients were 4 (35.3%), 6 (23.5%) and 1 (5.9%) respectively; the reversed, reversible and fixed abnormity of wall motion was found in 4 (23.5%), 4 (23.5%) and 2 (11.8%) patients respectively; the reversed, reversible and fixed wall thickening were found in 6 (35.3%), 5 (29.4%) and 1 (5.9%) patients respectively. There was no significant difference in left ventricular ejection fraction and peak filling rate between MB patients and normal controls in both rest and stress studies (t: from -0.564 to 1.292, all P>0.05). Conclusion The G-MPI may be useful for the evaluation of myocardial ischemia and myocardial function simultaneously in patients with MB.

Objective To assess the neointimal coverage after the implantation of various drug eluting stents (DES) by optical coherence tomography ( OCT). Methods The study comprised of 62 patients implanted DES for ( 15. 3 ± 5.7 ) months. Patients were divided into three groups according to the type of implanted stent: Cypher group ( patient = 26, stent = 57 ), Endeavor group ( patient = 17, stent = 23 )and Firebird group (patient = 19, stent = 32). OCT images of the stent were analyzed by software equipped by Light Lab system. Intimal thickness of 64 μm, 168 μm and 366 μm represents 10%, 25% and 50%lumen area loss, respectively. Neointimal coverage was thin with intimal thickness≤64 μm, satisfactory with intimal thickness between 65 μm and 366 μm and hyperplaisa and restenosis with intimal thickness > 366μm. Results The percent of complete neointimal coverage was similar among groups ( P > 0. 05 ). The thickness of neointimal coverage in Cypher and Endeavor and Firebird group was (178.7 ± 11.9)μm,(228.7 ± 17. 1 ) μm and ( 170. 3 ± 13.3 ) μm, respectively( all P < 0. 05 ). The symmetry of Cypher stent was better than Firebird stent, and the symmetry of Firebird stent was better than Endeavoe stent. Conclusion There was significant difference on neointimal coverage after various types of DES implantation, and OCT can be used to evaluate the symmetry of neointimal coverage post implantation of various DES.
