Objective To learn the epidemiological characteristics of foodborne disease outbreak in 2015,Zhejiang Province,and to provide evidences for the prevention and control of foodborne disease outbreak.Methods Descriptive epidemiological analysis using ArcGIS 10.2 and SPSS 19.0 was conducted on geographical country data,information of permanent resident population and the incidence data of foodborne disease outbreak reported through foodborne disease outbreak reporting information system in 2015.Results There were 116 foodborne disease events reported in Zhejiang in 2015,resulting in 1 009 persons attacked,115 hospitalization and 10 deaths.The proportion of unknown pathogenic factor for events was 29.31%.The events appearance sporadic,there were some local hotspots in Jiaxing.The vibrio parahaemolyticus was the most common pathogen (32.76%),and poisonous mushrooms(8.62%)come the second.Most foodborne disease incidents occurred during June to November.Restaurants ,family and rural feasts were the major places where the foodborne disease occurred.The proportion of family foodborne disease events because of mistaken and misuse poisonous substances increased,and the hospitalization rate and mortality of events of which were the highest (33.9% and 7.63% respectively).Conclusion The food safety management and of restaurants and rural feasts should be strengthened in summer and autumn,as well as foodborne disease prediction and forewarning to reduce the foodborne disease incidents caused by microorganism contamination and poisonous muchnooms.It is necessary to conduct public risk cognition research for foodborne disease in Zhejiang,which could provide evidence for preventing and controlling family foodborne disease.
4.High expression of proteasome subunit PSMA7 in colorectal cancer is significantly correlated with liver metastasis.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the correlation between the proteasome subunit PSMA7 expression in colorectal cancer and its role in liver metastasis.
METHODSTo identify the PSMA7 protein expression in 62 primary site colorectal cancers, 34 lymph node metastatic sites and 13 liver metastatic sites by immunohistochemistry and clarify the correlation of its expression with the clinicopathological parameters.
RESULTSHigh expression of PSMA7 was detected in 38.7% (24/62) of primary site colorectal cancer, 52.9% (18/34) of lymph node metastatic sites and 100% (13/13) liver metastatic sites but not in the normal colorectal tissue. High expression of PSMA7 was significantly correlated with liver metastasis (P = 0.028). The survival rate was significantly lower in patients with high expression of PSMA7 than in those with low expression of PSMA7 (P = 0.0008). As well, in multivariate analysis, PSMA7 expression demonstrated to be an independent prognostic factor (P = 0.004, relative risk 5.057; 95% confidence interval, 1.682-15.201).
CONCLUSIONPSMA7 may play an important role in the colorectal cancer progression. Evaluation of PSMA7 expression in primary colorectal cancer at the time of surgery might be a valuable test in defining patients with a high risk of developing liver metastasis.

5.Establishment and preliminary application of dengue virus envelope domain III IgG antibody capture enzyme-linked immuno-absorbent assay.

OBJECTIVETo establish a highly sensitive and specific assay to detect dengue virus (DENV) envelope protein domain III (EDIII) IgG antibody, and to explore its value in the diagnosis and seroepidemiological survey of dengue.
METHODSThe DENV EDIII IgG antibody capture ELISA was developed using the recombinant full-length DENV EDIII, which was prepared by Pichia yeast expression system as the capture antigen. The serum samples were collected from the same group of 35 DENV-1 patients of primary infection during disease period in 2006 and their follow-up phase in 2010; and the sensitivity of the assay was compared to that of the commercial Panbio DENV IgG ELISA.
RESULTSThe sensitivity of DENV EDIII IgG ELISA in detecting the serum samples from disease period and follow-up phase was 87% (20/23) and 94% (33/35), respectively; whereas the sensitivity of Panbio DENV IgG ELISA was 71% (25/35) and 0, respectively. The sensitivity of DENV EDIII IgG ELISA in detecting the serum samples from both periods was similar, without statistical significance (χ(2) = 0.946, P = 0.331). For serum samples from disease period, the sensitivity of DENV EDIII IgG ELISA was comparable with that of Panbio DENV IgG ELISA (χ(2) = 1.924, P = 0.165). However, DENV EDIII IgG ELISA demonstrated a significantly higher sensitivity than Panbio DENV IgG ELISA in detecting the serum samples from follow-up phase (χ(2) = 62.432, P = 0.000).
CONCLUSIONDENV EDIII IgG capture ELISA is highly sensitive in detecting IgG in the serum samples from either disease period or follow-up phase. This method might be a promising alternative for diagnosis and seroepidemiologic survey of dengue.

7.Monitoring metrics for short-term exposure to ambient ozone and pulmonary function and airway inflammation in healthy young adults.

OBJECTIVE:
To assess the associations of different monitoring metrics for short-term exposure to ambient ozone (O3) with pulmonary function and airway inflammation in healthy young adults.
METHODS:
A total of 97 healthy young college students were recruited and followed in a panel study conducted from December 2017 to June 2018. Each participant underwent 3 follow-up visits, and lung function and fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) were measured at each visit. Ambient air pollutant concentrations were obtained from the environment monitoring station of Beijing closest to the participant residences, and meteorological data were collected from China Meteorological Data Service Center. Linear mixed-effect models were applied to assess the associations between different monitoring metrics for ambient O3 short-term exposure with pulmonary function or airway inflammation in the healthy young adults.
RESULTS:
During the study period, the P50 (P25, P75) values for ambient O3 concentration expressed as daily 1-hour maximum (O3-1 h max), daily maximum 8-hour average (O3-8 h max) and 24-hour average (O3-24 h avg) were 102.5 (76.8, 163.0) μg/m3, 91.1 (68.3, 154.3) μg/m3 and 61.6 (36.9, 81.7) μg/m3, respectively. The different monitoring metrics for short-term exposure to ambient O3 were significantly associated with reduced forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1) and increased FeNO. An interquartile range (IQR) increase in 6-d moving average of O3-1 h max (IQR=71.5 μg/m3) was associated with a 6.2% (95%CI: -11.8%, -0.5%) decrease in FEV1 and a 63.3% (95%CI: 13.8%, 134.3%) increase in FeNO. An IQR increase in 7-d moving average of O3-8 h max (IQR=62.0 μg/m3) was associated with a 6.2% (95%CI: -11.6%, -0.7%) decrease in FEV1and a 75.5% (95%CI: 19.3%, 158.0%) increase in FeNO. An IQR increase in 5-d moving average of O3-24 h avg (IQR=32.9 μg/m3) was associated with a 3.7% (95%CI: -7.1%, -0.2%) decrease in FEV1and a 25.3% (95%CI: 3.6%, 51.6%) increase in FeNO. There was no significant association between the three monitoring metrics for O3 exposure and peak expiratory flow (PEF).
CONCLUSION
Short-term exposure to ambient O3 was associated with decreased lung function and increased airway inflammation among the healthy young adults, and daily 1-hour maximum was more sensitively to the respiratory effects of O3.

8.Mannose inhibits the growth of prostate cancer through a mitochondrial mechanism.

The limited treatment options for advanced prostate cancer (PCa) lead to the urgent need to discover new anticancer drugs. Mannose, an isomer of glucose, has been reported to have an anticancer effect on various tumors. However, the anticancer effect of mannose in PCa remains unclear. In this study, we demonstrated that mannose inhibits the proliferation and promotes the apoptosis of PCa cells in vitro, and mannose was observed to have an anticancer effect in mice without harming their health. Accumulation of intracellular mannose simultaneously decreased the mitochondrial membrane potential, increased mitochondrial and cellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels, and reduced adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production in PCa cells. Mannose treatment of PCa cells induced changes in mitochondrial morphology, caused dysregulated expression of the fission protein, such as fission, mitochondrial 1 (FIS1), and enhanced the expression of proapoptotic factors, such as BCL2-associated X (Bax) and BCL2-antagonist/killer 1 (Bak). Furthermore, lower expression of mannose phosphate isomerase (MPI), the key enzyme in mannose metabolism, indicated poorer prognosis in PCa patients, and downregulation of MPI expression in PCa cells enhanced the anticancer effect of mannose. This study reveals the anticancer effect of mannose in PCa and its clinical significance in PCa patients.

The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was declared a global public health emergency on 31 January 2020. Emergency medicine procedures in Emergency Department should be optimized to cope with the current COVID-19 pandemic by providing subspecialty services, reducing the spread of nosocomial infections, and promoting its capabilities to handle emerging diseases. Thus, the Chinese Society of Emergency Medicine and Wuhan Society of Emergency Medicine drafted this consensus together to address concerns of medical staffs who work in Emergency Department. Based on in-depth review of COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment plans, literatures, as well as management approval, this consensus proposes recommendations for improving the rationalization and efficiency of emergency processes, reducing the risk of nosocomial infections, preventing hospital viral transmission, and ensuring patient safety.
