2.EFFICACY OF GCV FOR EXPERIMENTAL ACUTE GRAFT VERSUS HOST DISEASE REPLICATED BY INFUSION OF H-2 HAPLOTYPE MATCHED CD34~+ CELLS IN COMBINATION WITH TK~+T LYMPHOCYTES TRANSPLANTATION
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(12):-
Objective To study the therapeutic efficacy of HSV-TK/GCV in acute graft versus host disease (GVHD) produced by infusion of H-2 haplotype matched CD34 + cells in combination with TK +T lymphocytes transplantation. Methods CD34 + cells were separated from bone marrow of male donor mice, and T lymphocytes were acquired from the spleen and transfected with retroviral vectors carrying tk gene. Forty-eight female F1 recipient mice were divided into six groups. Group 1 received 1?10 5 CD34 + cells, groups 2 and 3 received 1?10 5 CD34 + cells and 1?10 7 T lymphocytes, groups 4~6 received 1?10 5 CD34 + cells and 1?10 7 TK +T lymphocytes. GCV was administered to group 5 and group 6 in the dosage of 50mg/(kg?d) for 7 days by intraperitoneal injection on day 0 and 7 posttransplant, respectively. Results All the recipient mice in group 1 survived more than 30 days and no acute GVHD symptoms emerged. Acute GVHD symptoms appeared in the recipient mice in groups 2~6 showing typical pathological manifestations. The recipient mice in groups 2~4 died of acute GVHD 3 weeks posttransplant. The survival time of recipient mice in groups 5 and 6 was 26.6?4.8 days and 40.5?8.4 days, respectively, which was significantly longer than that of groups 2~4 (P

6.Thinking on the Relationship of Formulas Corresponding to Diseases in Chinese Medicine.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2015;35(7):882-885
"Treatment based on diseases identification and formulas corresponding to diseases" is one of important therapy modes of Chinese medicine. Although it originates from Huangdi Neijing, it is seldom systematically discussed. Modern Chinese medicine (CM) now faces diseases mostly with comparatively confirmed Western medical diagnoses. Most of them have specific pathophysiological changes. How to interpret these specific pathophysiological changes, play CM's advantages, and improve clinical efficacies has become an inevitable problem for modern CM in clinic. Authors expounded historic development and clinical application of "formulas corresponding to diseases", and its difference from "formulas corresponding to syndromes", put forward that we should combine "formulas corresponding to diseases" and "formulas corresponding to syndromes" in CM clinics. We should focus on the disease and summarize treatment rules, thereby improving targeted CM formulas.

8.The attitude towards people living with HIV and AIDS(PLWHA) and AIDS knowledge and desire for AIDS related training among 1292 health workers in selected hospitals in Beijing
Chinese Journal of AIDS & STD 2006;0(02):-
Objective To understand the attitude of health workers towards people living with HIV and AIDS(PLWHA) and AIDS knowledge and desire for related training among them in selected hospitals in Beijing.Method Convenience sampling was used to select health workers from 32 hospitals of different levels in 4 districts within Beijing.Anonymous self-administrated questionnaires were used to collect the information regarding AIDS knowledge and desire for relevant training. Results A total of 1 292 health workers completed the questionnaire. They demonstrated a moderate level of general AIDS knowledge, but a low level of knowledge related to AIDS diagnosis and therapy.Of them 39.7% had received specialized AIDS training and 96% had strongly desire for such specialized training. Most health workers sympathized with PLWHA and understood their situation, while some of them were afraid of PLWHA and wanted to have minimal contact with PLWHA.91.3% of the health workers expressed that PLWHA should have the same rights to medical services. At the same time,49.2% of the health workers stated that they would not like to work in hospitals or departments which accepted PLWHA.80% of the health workers expressed concern over acquiring HIV infection in the workplace.52.7% of them thought that they had a risk of becoming infected in the workplace. Conclusion The level of AIDS knowledge among health workers in Beijing needs to be improved.Specialized training to enhance and develop health workers knowledge of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of AIDS is required. Most of the health workers do not discriminate against PLWHA,but they express concern over infection in the workplace.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
Three infant staple food sprays were studied. Preparation A contained 17.5% cow's milk powder, preparations B and C contained 30% and 26% soybean powder respectively, preparations A and B both contained 22% cane sugar; while C was without cane sugar. Other components in these 3 sprays were mainly rice powder and a little amount of soybean oil and whole egg powder. 3 preparations were fed to 3 groups of male weaning rats for 4 weeks. As indicated by parameters such as body weights gained, FE, CE and PER, preparation C had a significantly higher value than A and B. A and B got a practically similar results. Those effects were also true in a repletion test. The BV and nitrogen balance values were similar among these 3 preparations. There was no prominent effect on serum osmotic pressure in rats fed 22% cane sugar for 4 weeks, but had a lower caloric utilization in group A and B as compared with group C

China Oncology 2016;26(5):466-470
Triple-negative breast cancers (TNBC) comprise a heterogeneous group of tumors characterized by poor survival and lack of targeted therapeutics. In recent years, androgen receptor (AR) has been demonstrated to play an important role in the genesis and development of TNBC. There has been increased interest in the role of AR in TNBC and AR-targeting has been introduced as a novel therapeutic option for TNBC. This review offers an overview of the relationship between AR expression and TNBC, and provides insights into the novel drugs in the development for targeting this signaling pathway.
