1.Progress of tumor-associated macrophages in glioma
Cancer Research and Clinic 2021;33(2):153-156
Tumor-associated macrophage (TAM) is a group of heterogeneous cells and a major component of inflammatory cells in the tumor microenvironment. Parts of these cells in gliomas are derived from central nervous system microglia and circulating monocytes, and have been implicated in angiogenesis, immunosuppression, tumor progression and invasion of gliomas. This article reviews the potential mechanisms of TAM promoting glioma development through various pathways to provide new possibilities for targeted therapy of gliomas.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(12):-
Objective To study the incidence of complications of visceral and vascular injury in laparoscopic surgery for gynecologic diseases, and to discuss the ways to decrease the incidence. Methods The data of 2684 patients who received laparoscopic surgery from Januray 2003 to December 2005 in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology were reviewed retrospectively. The incidence and treatment of complications of visceral and vascular injury were observed. Results The total incidence rate of complications was 2.53%(n=68),and that of the visceral and vascular injury was 0.37%(n=10).Four cases of injury were related with trocar punctures(injury of omental blood vessel,n=2;postperitoneal vessel,n=2),three took place during the operation (severe bleeding,n=1;bladder injury,n=2),and the other three were observed in the postoperative stage(ureter injury,n=2;intestinal fistula,n=1). Conclusion The complications in laparoscopic surgery for gynecologic diseases are increased with the extension and difficulty of operation, and are closely related with the experience of the surgeons.Proper candidates for the surgery and established operative technique are the key factors in decreasing the incidence.

Objective To evaluate the effects of laparoscopic choledochal cyst excision for treatment of congenital choledochal cyst. Methods Forty patients with congenital choledochal cyst were randomly divided into control group and observation group: the control group underwent open abdominal excision of choledochal cyst, while the observation group had laparoscopic resection of choledochal cyst. Results The operations of all the 40 cases in the 2 groups were successfully completed. The operative time was longer in the observation group(P

AIM: To observe the effect of glucosidorum tr ipterygii tororum (GTT) on cytokine productions in acute graft-versus-host disea se (aGVHD) mice. METHODS : C 57 BL/6 mice were exposed to radiation delivered by a linear accelerator . To es tablish a aGVHD model, the cell suspensions, which were obtained from bone marro w and spleen of the BALB/C mice, were transplanted to the radiated C 57 BL/6 mice. The recipients were treated with GTT, GTT+CsA and CsA+MTX. The serum conc entrations of IL-2, TNF-?, IL-4 and IL-10 were determined by ELISA. RES ULTS: The survival rate on day 11 in GTT group (9/10) was higher than in allogeneic bone marrow transplatation (allo-BMT) group (8/19). The concentratio ns of IL-2 and TNF-? in GTT group were significantly lower, but the concentrati on of IL-10 was remarkably higher than that in allo-BMT group ( P 0 0 5). CONCLUSION: GTT inhibited aGVHD development by regulating th e production of cytokines in the host.
6.The detection of hemoglobin A1c in clinical application
Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2012;35(6):501-504
The hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) results can reflect the average level of blood glucose over the past 2-3 months, its clinical application value is transforming from evaluation indicator to diagnosis indicator. The application of HbA1c as a diagnostic indicator of diabetes is limited by many factors, such as multi-factor influence on measurement and its late start on standardization process in our country, optimal cut-point and the defect of HbA1c existing in the molecular level, etc. Therefore, clarifying the limitations of HbA1c in the practical application is of great significance for its clinical application.

Objective To investigate the method of cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB) for the repair of atrial septal defect with thoracoscopy. Methods Thirty-six patients with atrial septal defect were operated on.The artery channel and one venous channel were placed in the right femoral artery and femoral venous, the other venous channel was placed in the superior venous cave to set up CPB.The thoracoscope was put into thoracic cavity by the seventh interspace;the other two holes in the fourth interspace were used for operative procedure. The atrial septal defect was closed by thoracoscopy with the help of CPB. Results Except one patient whose incision was extended to stanch bleeding so as to avoid accidents when CPB stopped resulting in low oxygen saturation operation for other patients was successful. After operation,thirty-five patients recovered well and no complication occurred. Conclusions It is safe and reliable to repair atria septal defect with thoracoscopy with the help of CPB.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(12):-
OBJECTIVE To explore the infection rate with identifying test of vancomycin-resistant enterococci(VRE) from clinical samples, that is 3.7 percent and to genotype VRE. METHODS vanA,vanB and vanC were detected by PCR in six isolates of VRE which were identified by the broth microdilution susceptibility test and Etest. The one of vanB was further analyzed with DNA sequence and ermB,qacE△1-sul1 gentypes were detected. RESULTS Seventeen isolates of enterococci(MIC≥4 ?g/ml) were obtained of 160 isolates of enterococci which came from Jiangxi Children′s Hospital by microdilution methods.while 6 isolates were gotten by Etest. It demonstrated that susceptibilities of VRE were different in four in vitro susceptibility testing methods.VRE showed resistance to erythromycin(10/17),disinfectant/sulfanilamide(0/17). CONCLUSIONS VRE screening test and the determination of MIC are reliable in finding VRE.VRE genotype is valuable on further research and epidemiological survey of our province.

Objective To elucidate the mechanism of radiation resistant effect of LyGDI on NSCLC A549 cells. Methods A549 and H460 cells were irradiated with X-rays of 0,2,4 and 6 Gy.The clone-forming assay was used to detect cell survival and radiosensitivity. The expressions of LyGDI and COX-2 (Cyclooxygenase-2),a key radiosensitivity-related protein, were detected using Western blot. The miR-34 families were analyzed with RT-PCR.50 nmol/L mature miR-34c was transfected into A549 cells. Results The expression levels of LyGDI and COX-2 were much higher in radioresistive A549 cells than that in H460 cells. While the expression of miR-34a was quite low and miR-34b/c was hardly found in both NSCLC cells.Transfection of miR-34c into A549 cells strongly enhanced X-ray induced apoptosis by inhibiting the activations of LyGDI,COX-2,Bcl-2 and p21.Conclusions Up-regulation of LyGDI could induce COX-2 expression. The low expression of miR-34 family might be responsible for the radiation resistance of NSCLC cells.

International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2010;33(3):-
Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs), which can be introduced in brain tissue by the strategies of brain parenchyma, blood and neurolymph transplantation, to repair tissue injury and promote functional recovery of neural system, have been considered as the ideal seed cells for the treatment of central nervous system diseases. However, as the special structure exists in the blood-brain barrier, study on correlation between MSCs and blood-brain barrier permeability will make it possible for more MSCs to pass the barrier to perform the treatment. This paper gives a review on the latest research development in the field.
