Objective] Discussion on academic ideas and clinical experience of professor Dong in treatment of varicocele sterility.[Methods]From academic theory, etiology and pathogenesis, therapeutic principle treatment aspects in professor Dong diagnosis and treatment of varicocele sterility certificate academic view and clinical experience, to summarize its characteristic diagnostic medicine.[Results] Professor Dong considers varicocele infertility disease in liver and kidney, etiology and pathogenesis is kidney, liver, blood stasis, based on the kidney essence deficiency, diseases with ease, and blood stasis resistance as the standard, the causal, with kidney and liver qi activating blood method in the treatment of varicocele thought and method has achieved good clinical therapeutic effect. [Conclusion]The clinical experience of professor Dong in treatment of varicocele syndrome is effective, has the value of popularization and application.

The launch of the clinical trial registry is a milestone event in the field of clinical research in the 21st century that has played an important role in safeguarding the openness,transparency,ethics,data sharing and process control of clinical research.The current clinical research registry is mainly aimed at clinical trial research with lack of professional registration system for security and other real events of observational study.In order to improve the level of clinical safety research,promote transparency and process quality control,we proactively proposed and established a registration platform for clinical safety research of traditional Chinese medicine.This paper made a brief introduction hereof.

Objective To assess the epidemiological characteristics of hypertension and its attributing factors in Heilongjiang province and establish a comprehensive basis for the prevention and control of hypertension in this region. Methods Using the stratified chunk method, a survey lasting 50 years was conducted on a sample of 299 677 (including i 58 782 males and 140 895 females) patients, aged 15 and above, residing in both rural and urban areas of Heilongjiang province from 1958 to 2007. Both blood pressure measurement and analysis on attributing factors of hypertension were carried out in 1958, 1979, 1991, 1999 and 2007. Results The prevalence of hypertension was significantly higher in Heilongjiang than in other provinces. It elevated annually, reaching a 3-fold increase in 50 years with an accelerating pace ( 17.06% to 25. 69% ) in the recent 8 years. Among the people examined, the prevalence of hypertension increased with aging. Furthermore, the prevalence of hypertension varied among different professions. Office workers had the highest prevalence (41.67%). Compared with female population, male participants had a much higher prevalence before the age of 55 (P < 0.0001 ). Body mass index, gender, hypertriglyceridemia, age, low-high density lipoprotein cholesterol and family history were identified as major risk factors for the development of hypertension in Heilongjiang province. However, the awareness (48. 90% ), treatment (25.33%) and control (4. 32% ) rates of hypertension in this region were relatively low. Conclusion The results of the present study identified Heilongjiang province as a high-risk region for hypertension. It also suggests the necessity to plan and implement actions for the effective prevention and treatment of hypertension in this region.

Objective To explore the effect of prevention and treatment of external application of Algoplaque for controlling phlebitis caused by peripheral indewelling needle in vein for patients. Methods This research was divided into two parts,prevention and treatment. As for prevention research,patients were randomly divided into the experimental and the control groups,each group included 30 patients. In the experimental group,we applied directly external application of Algoplaque at the upper of needle puncture site of the vein and nearby the eye. In the control group,we applied the film directly to fix the indwelling needle. As for the treatment research, it was carried out in patients with occurred phlebitis, who were randomly divided into two groups,the experimental group included 30 cases of patients and the control group included 28 cases of patients. Observation time was one to five days. Results The incidence of phlebitis in the experimental group of prevention research was 23%, in the control group it was 90%. The incidence of phlebitis in the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group. The effective rate in the experimental group of treatment research was 96.7% and it was 67.9% in the control group. The difference was very significant. Conclusions External application of Algoplaque can effectively control phlebitis caused by peripheral indewelling needle in vein.

Objective To assess epidemiological characteristics of metabolic syndrome(MS)and its attributing factors in a resident sample aged over 35 living in both rural and urban areas of Harbin in Heilongjiang province.Methods A cross-over sectional and cluster sampling was carried out in 5 984 residents aged over 35 years living in the rural and urban areas of Harbin.Height,body mass,waist circumference,blood pressure,fasting blood glucose,triglyeeride,and high density lipoprotein cholesterol were determined.In this survey,the prevalence of MS and its attributing factors were analyzed by logistic regression model according to the diagnostic criteria of international diabetes federation in 2005.Results The prevalence of MS in this sample was 24.60%(male 22.49%,female 26.29%),and the standardized prevalence rate was 23.31%(male 22.12%,female 25.19%).Compared to female population,male participants showed a much lower prevalence;and compared to urban area population,rural participants showed a much lower prevalence(26.70% vs 20.05%,P<0.05).The prevalence of MS rose progressively with age in females.The individuals with MS presented increased body mass index,hyperglycemia,and hypertriglyceridemia.Gender,age,employment,education,smoking or drinking habit,and family history of hypertension were identified as maior risk factors of MS.Conclusion The prevalence of MS in a sample of residents aged over 35 in Harbin Was 24.60%.It becomes an public health problem requiring urgent attention for prevention and treatment.

Male germ-line stem cells (mGSCs) have the capability of self-renewal and latent capability of differentiation. mGSCs is the unique diploid immortal cell which can transfer genetic information to filial generation. The combination of transgenic technology and mGSCs heterotransplanting will supply new opportunities and paths to cloning animal, transgenic animal and gene therapy of some human hereditary disease. We studied the isolation and cultivation of mGSCs that were isolated and purified from 5-6 month old bovine fetal testis, new born bovine testis by adopting mixed enzymes digestion and different attaching velocities methods. The results showed that Sertoli cells were indispensable to mGSC's proliferation and differentiation in vitro. The Sertoli cells in logarithmic phase have a significant effect on mGSC's attaching, proliferation and differentiation. Co-culture with Sertoli cells, mGSCs differentiated to long sperm after 16 days. A preliminary system for mGSC's inducing differentiation was established.

Objective:To investigate the effect of different postoperative nutritional support on the gastrointestinal function and nutritional status in acute colon peforation patients.Methods:60 cases of acute emergency operation patients with perforation of the colon,according to the given nutritional support treatment of the different ways,were divided into enteral parenteral joint nutrition (EN + PN) group and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) group.Clinical therapeutic effects of two groups were compared.Results:The results of EN + PN group were significantly better than the those in TPN group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:EN + PN model can improve the postoperative nutritional status and accelerate the recovery of patients with acute colonic perforation.

Objective To understand the spatial distribution characteristics of wild feces in schistosomiasis endemic areas of Jiangling County,Hubei Province and further explore the source of infection efficiently,so as to provide the evidence for the development of corresponding monitoring and response technology. Methods In 2011,the fresh wild feces were investigated every two months in the selected 15 villages by the severity of historical endemic in Jiangling County. The schistosome miracidi-um hatching method was used to test the schistosome infection of the wild feces. The descriptive analysis and spatial analysis were used for the description of the spatial distribution of the wild feces. Results Totally 701 wild feces samples were collected with the average density of 0.0556/100 m2,and the positive rate of the wild feces was 11.70%(82/701). The results of the re-gression analysis showed a positive spatial correlation between the positive rate of wild feces and the rate of human infection,the area with infected Oncomelania hupensis and the number of fenced cattle,and the corrected R2 of the model was 0.58. Conclu-sion The infection rate of wild feces is positively correlated with the rate of human infection,area with infected O. hupensis and number of fenced cattle in space in Jiangling County,so the prevention and control measures could be conducted according to the spatial distribution of the positive wild feces.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the safety and efficacy of chimeric antigen receptors T cells (CAR-T) in childhood acute B lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL).

METHODSA relapsed B-ALL child after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) was treated with CAR-T, and the related literatures were reviewed.

RESULTAn 11-year-old girl with TEL-AML1 fusion gene positive BALL who suffered a bone marrow relapse 28 months after remission from conventional chemotherapy. During the second remission, the patient received haploidentical allo-HSCT. She relapsed with detectable TEL-AML1 fusion gene even after chemotherapy and donor leukocyte infusions. She received an experimental donor-derived fourth generation CD19 CAR-T therapy. After infusion of 1 × 10(6)/kg CAR-T cells, she experienced only mild or moderate cytokine-release syndrome and the minimal residual disease turned negative. Then three maintenance of CAR-T cell infusions [(0.83-1.65)×10(6)/kg] was administered, and the disease-free survival had lasted for 10 months. However, the TEL-AML1 copies in her blood still increased and she died with leukemia relapse after additional CAR-T cell infusion.

CONCLUSIONTreatment of relapsed B-ALL with the fourth generation CAR-T cells directed against CD19 was effective and safe. CAR-T therapy is a novel therapeutic approach that could be useful for patients with relapsed and refractory B-ALL who have failed all other treatment options.

OBJECTIVETo study the incidence and influencing factors of psychological violence among college students in Guangzhou in 2010.

METHODSConvenience sampling method was used and 2 200 college students from 61 classes of three universities in Guangzhou were interviewed with self-designed questionnaire about the incidence and influencing factors of the psychological violence in 2010. The valid sample was 2 060. Chi-square test and multinomial logistic regression were used to assess the incidence and influencing factors of the psychological violence between different genders.

RESULTSA total of 66.3% (1 365/2 060) college students reported having experienced at least one kind of psychological violence during the past 12 months, either as a perpetrator or as a victim. The proportion of psychological violence among males (72.3%, 775/1 072) was significantly higher than that in females (59.7%, 590/988)(χ(2) = 36.39, P < 0.05). The incidence of perpetration only, victimization only, and both perpetration and victimization of psychological violence were 16.1% (331/2 060), 8.9% (184/2 060) and 41.3% (850/2 060), respectively. The incidence of victimization only in females was 10.4% (103/988), which was significantly higher than that in males (7.6%, 81/1 072) (χ(2) = 5.20, P < 0.05). The incidence of both perpetration and victimization in males was 47.3% (507/1 072), which was significantly higher than that in females (34.7%, 343/988) (χ(2) = 33.56, P < 0.05). In males, the multinomial logistic regression showed the risk factors for perpetration only was having harmful behavior habits (OR = 1.90). For victimization only, the risk factors were with siblings (OR = 2.42) and prior mistreatment by teachers from primary to senior high school (OR = 1.78). For both perpetration and victimization, the risk factors were with siblings (OR = 1.88), having harmful behavior habits (OR = 1.98), bad family economic conditions (difficult OR = 1.99, general OR = 1.67) and prior mistreatment by teachers from primary to senior high school(OR = 2.07). In females, the risk factors for perpetration only were self-claimed shortage of monthly living expenses(OR = 2.14) or just enough (OR = 2.26), having harmful behavior habits (OR = 1.69) (all P values<0.05) . For victimization only, the risk factors were bad family economic conditions (difficult OR = 6.67, 15 persons; general OR = 3.81), bullied by others before university(OR = 2.05). For both perpetration and victimization, the risk factors were self-claimed shortage of monthly living expenses (OR = 1.81), bad family economic conditions (OR = 2.43), disharmonious relations between parents (OR = 1.76), physical punishment by parents (OR = 1.66), bullied by others before university (OR = 2.14) and prior mistreatment by teachers from primary to senior high school(OR = 1.73). Having a religious faith was the protective factor (OR = 0.38) (all P values<0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe incidence of psychological violence among college students is very serious in Guangzhou in 2010. And the influencing factors of it between different genders are different. Females are affected by a wider ranges of factors than males, and are more influenced by family and parents.
