1.Investigation in the incidence of sharp- appliance wound of trainee nurses and its preventive countermeasures
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2009;25(15):66-67
Objective To acknowledge the incidence of sharp- appliance wound of trainee nurses and explore the relative countermeasures. Methods A retrospective investigation was carried out in 140 trainee nurses of grade 2003 about the incidence of sharp- appliance wounds, then the corresponding pre-ventive countermeasures were formulated and applied in the clinical practice of trainee nurses of grade 2004 and the incidence of sharp- appliance wound was investigated and compared with the results of those grade 2003.X2 test was adopted. Results The incidence rate of sharp- appliance wound in trainee nurses of grade 2004 was obviously lower than that of grade 2003. Conclusions Due to the weak safety con-sciousness, unfamiliar with operation and lack of clinical experience, the sharp- appliance wound will easily occur among trainee nurses. If the relative professional preventive knowledge is strengthened, the opera-tional procedures are observed strictly and the sense of responsibility of tutor teachers is facilitated, then the incidence of sharp- appliance wound of trainee nurses will drop.
2.Influence of nursing intervention on the ability of daily living of patients with senile dementia
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2009;25(3):51-52
Objective To probe into the influence of active nursing intervention on the ability of daily living of patients with senile dementia. Methods Nursing of daily living, training for self-care and cognitive capacity, safety management and psychological nursing were carried out in a total of 33 patients who suffered from senile dementia. 6 months later, the effect of nursing intervention was appraised. Re-sults The ability of daily living of 33 patients with senile dementia had obvious improvement after nursing intervention compared with that before nursing intervention. Conclusions Active nursing intervention can largely facilitate the ability of daily living of patients with senile dementia.

Objective To explore the relationship between social support and professional identification among nursing students, and to examine the mediating role of resilience. Methods A total of 650 nursing students were evaluated with Social Support Rating Scale,Professional Identity Questionnaires for Nursing Students and Chinese revision of Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale. Results The scores of nursing students' social support, resilience and professional identification were (38.93±5.30),(66.79±11.93),(57.45±9.95).Professional identification could positively influence their professional identification(r=0.233-0.422,P<0.01).Resilience mediated the relationship between social support and professional identification, the effect sizes were 52.27%.Conclusions Resilience plays a mediating role between social support and professional identity. It is important to pay attention to social support and resilience and take proper interventions to promote nursing students professional identification.

Objective To examine the psychological resilience and its influencing factors of the nursing students in medical university. Methods A total of 693 nursing students were investigated by using general questionnaire,Chinese version of CD-RISC,Professional Identity Questionnaires of Nursing Students,TCSQ,EPQ and SSRS.Results The average score of CD-RISC was (66.79±11.93),different grade students had significant differences in psychological resilience, resilience scores of nursing students were different in aspect of professional knowledge, occupation expectation and interpersonal satisfaction.Resilience was positively correlated with positive coping, professional identity, social support, extraversion, and negatively correlated with negative coping, neuroticism and psychoticism; Positive coping, professional identity, extraversion and neuroticism could predict 48.6% of total variation in psychological resilience. Conclusions The resilience average score of nursing students was low.Nursing educators can implement mental intervention according to psychological characteristics of nursing students in different periods by cultivating professional emotion, guiding coping style and shaping healthy personality to promote the resilience and mental health of nursing students.

Objective To study the compressive education on nursing students in operation room. Methods 84 nursing students in practice were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 42 students in each group. The two groups were in a month to complete the teaching syllabus internship period. The control group received conventional teaching,on the basis of conventional teaching, the observation group was given compressive education. After the end of internship, nursing skill score, comprehensive quality, operation doctors'satisfaction degree were compared between two groups. Results After the compressive education, the nursing skill score, comprehensive quality, operation doctors'satisfaction degree in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Conclusions According to the source of pressure in the operation room, compressive education should be given to the nursing students and make them complete the practice in a relaxed and delight state. This can also reflect the humanistic care in teaching, which is worthy of being popularized in teaching in operation room.

Objective To study the effects of sleep intervention on sleep quality of hospitalized elderly patients with sleep-wake rhythm disorders. Methods We applied sleep intervention among 39 hospitalized elderly patients with sleep-wake rhythm disorders. The degree of sleep-wake rhythm disorders was compared by using Athens Insomnia Scale(AIS)and Epworth Sleepiness Scale(ESS)between pro- and post-sleep intervention.Result The degree of sleep-wake rhythm disorders was significantly improved after 3 months of sleep intervention(Z=13.56,P<0.05).Conclusion Sleep intervention at daytime and nighttime may help the hospitalized elderly patients with sleep-wake rhythm disorders resume to normal sleep-wake rhythm gradually so that the hospitalized elderly patients with sleep-wake rhythm disorders can improve sleep quality and recover from diseases.

Objective To investigate the effect of the stage-change model on the behavior changes of patients with non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM). Methods A total of 169 cases NID-DM patients were randomly divided into the control group (84 cases )and the experimental group(85 cases ).The regular health education for the self behavior changes was carried out among patients in the control group, while besides the regular health education conducted in the control group, the stage- change model was additionally used in patients of the experimental group.By virtue of the self-design questionnaire, the surveys were performed on 2 groups respectively before the implementation,6 months and 12 months after the implementation. The behavior stages and behavior changes for the patients in 2 groups were compared. Results The end period of stage behavior and behavior change for patients in the experimental group were obviously better than those in the control group. Conclusions The stage-change model could accelerate the behavior change of patients with non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus.

Objective To construct lentiviral expression vector of rat IP3R1 gene, and identify its silencing effect by using PC12 cell lines. Methods Oligo DNA sequences of 4 pairs of miRNA,named as miRNA1,miRNA2,miRNA3 and miRNA4,were designed according to IP3R1 gene sequence (GenBank:NM_001007235). The single strand of oligo DNA was annealed to form double strand DNA,and then connected with the empty plasmid pcDNA TM 6.2-GW/EmGFP-miR. By using gateway technology, the expression vector pcDNA TM 6.2-GW/EmGFP-miR-IP3R1 was linked into lentiviral destination vector pLenti6/V5-DEST to form the lentiviral expression vector pLenti6/V5-DEST-IP3R1,then it was transformed into infectious lentiviral particles and to infect PC12 cell lines. Silencing effect of gene IP3R1 was detected by Real-time PCR and Western blot. Results The sequence of expression vector pcDNA TM 6.2-GW/EmGFP-miR-IP3R1 was proved correct using sequencing method. After the transfection of letivirus vector pLenti6/V5-DEST-IP3R1 into PC12 cell lines, the IP3R1 mRNA and protein level were down-regulated 48h later,of which miRNA2 and miRNA3 sequence showed the best silencing effect, and the expression of IP3R1 in the blank control and negative control showed no significant changes. Conclusions Lentiviral expression vector pLenti6/V5-DEST-IP3R1 was constructed successfully. pLenti6/V5-DEST-IP3R1 may render the IP3R1 expression in PC12 cell lines down-regulated,and it provides a foundation for studying the function of calcium release channel IP3R1.
