1.One case report of Kimura disease combined with secretory otitis media.

The patient is a 75 years old man complaining of ear plug and hearing loss for about three days. Physical examination shows liquid in two tympanic cavities. Chronic congestion occurs to nasal mucosa. Bilateral inferior turbinates are a little bigger than normal. Both inferior meatus are unblocked and pharyngeal recess is smooth. This patient is fat. Bilateral eye lids are swollen. A tumour could be touched in bilateral parotids with good movement and no tenderness. Its size is as big as an egg. Several lymph nodes could be touched under the jaw. The blood test is normal and IgG, IgA, IgM, ANA, anti-ENA, C3, C4, CRP and ESR is normal but RF is high. The function of liver and kidney is normal. B-mode ultrasonography result shows bilateral parotids are diffusely swollen and several swollen lymph nodes in cervix. Pathology examination of lower mandibular lymph node and parotid shows follicular lymphaticus hyperplasia with several plasmacytes and eosinophil granulocytes. The diagnosis accords with Kimura disease.

2.Role of immunoproteasome subunit β2i in DOCA/salt-induced vascular inflammation in mice

AIM:To investigate the role of immunoproteasome subunit β2i in deoxycorticosterone acetate (DOCA)/salt-induced vascular inflammation in mice.METHODS:Wild-type and β2i knockout male mice were used.The right kidney was removed and DOCA pellet was subcutaneously implanted in the mice.The mice were then received 1% NaCl as drinking water for 3 weeks.The total RNA and protein were isolated from thoracic aorta 3 weeks later.The aortic tissues were fixed in formalin, embedded in paraffin and sectioned.Western blot, real-time PCR and immunohistochemistry were performed to detect the expression of β2i, macrophage marker Mac-2, NF-κB, and proinflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α in thoracic aorta.RESULTS:Compared with sham group, DOCA/salt treatment significantly increased the expression of β2i at mRNA and protein levels, increased the infiltration of macrophages and expression of Mac-2, and upregulated the expression of NF-κB and proinflammatory cytokines including IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α in wild-type group, whereas theses effects were markedly attenuated in β2i knockout mice.CONCLUSION:Immuneproteasome subunit β2i is involved in DOCA/salt-induced vascular inflammation through activation of NF-κB signaling in the mice.
3.Application of p16INK4a combined with human papillomavirus and liquid-based cytology in clinical diagnosis of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia

Objective To analyze the detection efficiency of p16INK4a protein combined with human papillomavirus and liquid-based cytology(LCT)in the screening of cervical precancerous lesions,and to provide a basis for cervical cancer preven-tion and treatment.Methods The results of p16INK4a staining of cervical epithelial cells,human papillomavirus testing and cer-vical cytology were analyzed in 139 inpatients at Guangzhou Women's and Children's Medical Center between January 2019 and December 2020.Of them,there were 111 patients with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)and 28 cases of cervical inflam-matory disease.The efficacy of the three methods alone and in combination to screen for CIN lesions was compared.Results In the detection of CIN patients,the sensitivity of p16INK4a,microfluidic microarray and cervical cytology for detecting CIN and a-bove lesions was 91.89% ,94.59% and82.88% ,with specificity of 57.14% ,17.86% and46.43% ,and AUC of 0.75,0.56 and 0.65,respectively;while the sensitivity of"p16INK4a+LCT","p16INK4a+hrHPV","LCT+hrHPV"and their sen-sitivity were 96.40% ,97.30% ,94.59% and 99.10% ,their specificity was 85.71% ,92.86% ,89.29% and 92.86% ,and the AUC was 0.91,0.95,0.92 and 0.96,respectively.Conclusion The combined p16INK4a and hrHPV test helps to improve diagnostic accuracy and early detection,thus allowing for earlier intervention or treatment.This combined application allows for more accurate identification of low-grade and high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia,providing more information for indi-vidualized patient management.
