Objective:To investigate the anti-inflammation effects by activation of the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway and its mechanisms in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)model mice.Me-thods:6-week-old male C57BL/6J (B6)mice were randomly divided into four groups:the first group was normal mice, injected with saline;the second group was normal mice, injected with nicotine;the third group was NASH model mice, injected with saline;the fourth group was NASH model mice,injec-ted with nicotine. The experimental mice were fed with either standard chow (SC)or high-fat and high-fructose (HFHF)for 17 weeks to generate an NASH model mice. The mice received injection once daily for 3 weeks [nicotine dose,400 μg/kg].Then,their pathological characteristics and function of the liver were assessed. The expressions of interleukin-6 (IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in se-rum were analyzed by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).The expressions of alpha 7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (α7nAChR),Toll-like receptors-4 (TLR-4)and nuclear factor κB of phosphory-lation (p-NF-κB)in Kupffer cells were determined by Western blot and immunofluorescence assays.Re-sults:We successfully generated NASH model mice by imitating the high-fat and high-fructose dietary style of NASH patients. The results of our investigation demonstrated that nicotine could reduce signifi-cantly the levels of IL-6,and TNF-αin serum (P <0.05).The expression of p-NF-κB protein in the group which was NASH model mice injected with nicotine declined significantly as compared with the group which was NASH model mice injected with saline (P <0.05).And the expression of α7nAChR protein elevated significantly conversely (P <0.05 ).Conclusion:Activation of the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway could inhibit the release of inflammatory factors as TNF-αand IL-6 in NASH model mice, and the mechanism for the inhibition of inflammatory was mediated by NF-κB pathway.

We wished to ascertain the prevalence as well as the genetic and antigenic variation of infectious bronchitis viruses (IBVs) circulating in the Guangxi Province of China in recent years. The S1 gene of 15 IBV field isolates during 2012-2013 underwent analyses in terms of the similarity of amino-acid sequences, creation of phylogenetic trees, recombination, and serologic identification. Similarities in amino-acid sequences among the 15 isolates of the S1 gene were 54.3%-99.6%, and 43.3%-99.3% among 15 isolates and reference strains. Compared with the vaccine strain H120, except for GX-YL130025, the other 14 isolates showed a lower similarity of amino-acid sequences of the S1 gene (65.1-81.4%). Phylogenetic analyses of the S1 gene suggested that 15 IBV isolates were classified into eight genotypes, with the predominant genotype being new-type II. Recombination analyses demonstrated that the S1 gene of the GX-NN130048 isolate originated from recombination events between vaccine strain 4/91 and a LX4-like isolate. Serotyping results suggested that seven serotypes prevailed during 2012-2013 in Guangxi Province, and that only one isolate was consistent with the vaccine strain H120 in serotype (which has been used widely in recent years). The serotype of recombinant isolate GX-NN130048 was different from those of its parent strains. These results suggested that not only the genotype, but also the serotype of IBV field isolates in Guangxi Province had distinct variations, and that increasing numbers of genotypes and serotypes are in circulation. We showed that recombination events can lead to the emergence of new serotypes. Our study provides new evidence for understanding of the molecular mechanisms of IBV variations, and the development of new vaccines against IBVs.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of activation of the GLP-1 receptor on the p38MAPK signaling pathway in hepatic stellate cells (HSCs).
METHODSHSCs were isolated and identified according to morphological features; the levels of GLP-1R protein were determined by western blotting. The HSCs were randomly divided into a control grouP (normal saline treatment) and experimental grouP(liraglutide treatment); after 120 hours, the expression of p38MAPK mRNA was examined by RT-PCR and of phosphorylated (p)-p38MAPK protein was detected by western blotting.
RESULTSGLP-1R proteins were detected in the HSCs. Compared with the control group, the experimental group showed significantly decreased p38MAPK mRNA and p-p38MAPK protein (both P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONThe p38MAPK signaling pathway could be down-regulated when GLP-1R is activated in HSCs.

Objective:
To summarize the effective of high intensity interval training on cognitive executive function among adolescents through Meta analysis, and to provide reference for medical rehabilitation and physical education practice.
Methods:
Literature search was conducted for Chinese and English keywords "High Intensity Interval Training", "Cognition", "Cognition Function","Executive Function" and "Executive Controls" regarding the effect of high intensity interval training on cognitive executive function among adolescents published prior to September 20, 2020 in PubMed, Cochrane library, Web of science, Embase, the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), the Wanfang database and the VIP database. Stata 14 software and Revman 5.3 software were used for Meta analysis, fixed effect or random effect model was used to combine the results based on the heterogeneity.
Results:
The response time of Stroop test immediately after acute high intensity interval training significantly decreased ( SMD=0.70,95%CI =0.28-1.11, z=3.29,P <0.01); there was no significant change in response time of Stroop test 30 min after training ( SMD=0.23,95%CI=-0.14-0.60,z=1.23,P >0.05); the correct rate of Stroop test immediately after acute high intensity interval training increased significantly ( SMD=0.26,95%CI=0.03-0.50,z=2.21,P <0.05); there was no significant change in correct rate of Stroop test 30 min after training ( SMD=-1.38,95%CI=-4.28-1.52,z=0.93,P >0.05). After long term high intensity interval training, the response time of Stroop and TMT test were significantly shortened ( SMD=0.38, 95%CI=0.07-0.70, z=2.41, P < 0.05 ).
Conclusion
Acute and long term high intensity interval training can effectively improve cognitive executive function among adolescents, but the long term effect of acute training is unclear.
