Objective To investigate the effect of Mahong decoction on serum VEGF and b-FGF of rat model bronchus asthma airway remolding. Method Forty SD rats randomly divided into four groups: blank group, asthma group, hormone group, Chinese medicine group. The asthmatic model was established by sensitization and challenge with ovalbumin, and the rats in the hormone group and Chinese medicine group conferred hormone and Chinese medicine before the challenge. ELISA was used to measure the level of serum VEGF and b-FGF. Results The serum VEGF and b-FGF in asthma group was higher than in other groups (P0.05). Conclusion Mahong decoction may control the level of serum VEGF and b-FGF of rat model of bronchus asthma airway remolding, which has the similar result with hormone.

Objective:To establish a highly sensitive, rapid and selective liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS) method for the determination of metoprolol in rat plasma.Methods:A simplified liquid-liquid extraction with acetidin was employed for the sample preparation. The separation was carried out on a Thermo ODS-C_(18)(5 μm,100 mm×2.1 mm).The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-methanol-water(20∶20∶60). Propranolol was used as the internal standard. The detection was performed on a liquid chromatography mass spectrometry by selected ion monitoring(SIM) scan mode electrospray ionization(ESI).Results and Conclusion:The range of calibration curve was 0.1-50 ng/ml and the limit of quantification was 0.1 ng/ml. The intra- and inter-day precision RSD was less than 15%.This method is sensitive, simple,rapid and suitable for the pharmacokinetic study of metoprolol.

Objective To investigate the clinic pathologic features of young patients with renal malignant tumour by comparing with older patients. Methods The clinical data of 83 younger adults(age,≤40 years) with renal cell carcinoma and 703 cases of older renal cell carcinoma (age＞40 years)was analyzed and compared retrospectively. All of the patients were surgically treated between 1986and 2007. Results Among patients with symptoms, younger female patients were more likely to have abdominal pain(12/27, 44.4% vs. 154/703, 21.9%)and mass (2/27, 7.4% vs. 154/703,1.3%)than older (P＜0.05). The older groups were more likely to have dear cell carcinoma than in the younger(501/703, 71.3% vs. 47/83, 56.6%)(P＜0.05). The rate of PRCC has the trends to be higher in young patients than that in older patients (21/83, 25.3% vs. 118/703, 16.8%) (P=0.054),especially in male patients (17/56, 30.4 %) (P=0.011). The rate of MFH and leiomyosarcoma was significantly higher in young patients than that in older patients (6/83, 7.2% vs. 12/703,1.7%) (P＜ 0.05), especially in female patients (4/27,14.8%). Younger male patients were more likely to have a higher incidence of small tumors (T≤4 cm)(24/56,42.9 % vs. 173/703,24.6 % )(P＜0.05)and a lower incidence of big RCC(T＞7 cm) than older patients(12/56,21.4% vs. 295/703,42.0%) (P＜0.05). Conclusion Younger female renal cell carcinoma patients tends to have worseprognosis than older patients, while younger male patients have better prognosis due to different pathology.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of midfrontal keyhole approach for the treatment of severe intra-ventricular hematoma. Methods The clinical data of 21 cases of severe intraventricular hemorrhage through midfrontal key-hole approach were analyzed retrospectively. Results Both inside and outside intraventricular hematoma were satisfied cleared. The GCS score and intraventricular hemorrhage Graeb score were improved. There were complications after opera-tion including 1 patient with diffuse brain swelling, 3 patients with cerebral vasospasm, 1 patient with intracranial infection, and seven patients with pulmonary infection. Follow-up schedules included 1-6 months. According to ADL score, 5 patients recovered well, 9 patients were moderately disabled, 3 were severely disabled, 1 was in a vegetative state and 3 died. Conclu-sion The intraventricular hematoma can be removed through midfrontal keyhole approach. The obstructive hydrocephalus can be relieved, the secondary brain damage was reduced and the prognosis was improved in patients.

Objective To estimate the effection of orbital blowout fracture when Medpor was implanted to restore it. Methods The plastic operations on 15 patients with orbital blowout fracture were reviewed and studied. Results On discharge from the hospital, function and outline form was improved greatly in all cases. Conclusion Early diagnosis, early treatment and early movement training after surgery were emphasized. Medpor is one of the preferred material on reparing orbital blowout fracture.

Objective Compare the difference on vision,vision field between treating on central retinal artery with compound anisodine retrobulbar injection associate with emporat artery side injection and emporal artery side injection simply.Estimate the curative effect of the two ways on the disease.Methods Observe the patients'vision,vison field and cross-check,analyze the results who have central retinal artery and there are 20 who treated by compound anisodine retrobulbar injection associate with emporal artery side injection together with 20 who treated by emporal artery side injection purely.Results The therapeutics that is compound anisodine retrobulbar injection associate with emporal artery side injection is excellence to 10,effective to 6 and ineffective to 4;the therapeutics that is arter3,side injection purely is excellence to 5,effective to 5 and ineffective to 10.The two therapeuticses has significant difference on improving vision and ameliorating vision field.Conclusion It's quite effective to treat central retinal artery occlusion by compound anisodine retrobulbar injection associate with emporal artery side injection.

Objective To investigate the effect of salvia mihiorrhiza on spinal cord ischemia reperfusion injury after surgical treatment in patients with cervical canal stenosis. Methods Retrospective analysis of 64 cases had cervical canal stenosis in the last 5 years in our hospital. Sixty-four cases were randomly divided into the salvia mihiorrhiza group(31 cases)and the control group(33 cases). The therapeutic effect was assessed using JOA grade system. Results In the salvia mihiorrhiza group,the JOA average score was 8. 8 ±2. 6 before surgical treatment, after two weeks of surgical treatment it was 13. 7 ± 2. 4. The JOA improvement ratio was (61. 5 ± 2. 9) % . In the control group,the JOA average score was 9. 1 ±2. 2 before surgical treatment,after two weeks of surgical treatment it was 13. 4 ± 2. 3. The JOA improvement ratio was (60. 5 ± 2.2)% .The JOA improvement ratio in the salvia mihiorrhiza group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0. 05) . Conclusions Salvia mihiorrhiza has protective effect on spinal cord ischemia reperfusion injury.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical value of Young's modulus by supersonic shear wave elastography (SWE) in differential diagnosis of thyroid solid nod1ules.MethodsEighty-three patients with 113 solid nodules were examined by SWE.All the nodules were confirmed by pathology.According to Young's modulus,a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn,and it used to identify the value of optimal operating point for differential diagnosis of thyroid nodules.Results ① The mean of Young's modulus of benign nodules was (23.57 ± 9.35)kPa,which was significantly different from the valve of malignant nodules (43.73 ± 19.82) kPa ( t =6.31,P =0.00).(②) It showed that the optimal operating point of ROC curve as 27.49,with high sensitivity(93.2％),specificity(81.2％) and accuracy (85.8％).The area under ROC curve was 0.91.Conclusions SWE is a newly quantitative technique of ultrasonography,which is helpful to identify and distinguish in the differential diagnosis of thyroid nodules.
