Objective To optimize human acellular dermal matrix(ADM) and evaluate its biological characters. Methods Human skin was treated with hypertonic saline followed by NaOH maceration(group A), hypertonic saline followed by sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) detergent(group B) or Dispase Ⅱ followed by Triton X-100(group C), the resulting ADM were sectioned, and then were stained by special immunohistochemistry method. The cytotoxicity of them were evaluated by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) colorimetry and then cell compatibility was analyzed by cell culture; The optimized ADM resulted was choosen for use. Fibrablasts(FBs)were transfected with adenovirus vector encoding green fluorescent protein gene(Ad-GFP)and the growth of them on the optimized ADM was observed by fluorescent microscopy. Results Collagen and elastic fibers can still be observed in three kinds of ADM. The cells in dermis can be disintegrated both in group A and C, but not in group B. The cytotoxicity scores of the ADM prepared in group A and B were grade 0 or grade 1, while that of group C was more than grade 1.The ADM prepared by NaCl-NaOH maceration had good biocompatibility. There was statistical difference in adhering number of NIH3T3 cells in group A and B. NIH3T3 cells grew well in group A and the resulted ADM was optimized. FBs transfected with Ad-GFP grew well in the optimized ADM. Conclusion The ADM prepared by NaCl-NaOH maceration was a good tissue engineering biomaterial with a little cytotoxicity and rich in resouce.

AIM:To observe the clinical effects of 23-gauge (23G) transconjunctival sutureless vitrectomy for idiopathic macular hole.
METHODS: In this retrospective study, 28 eyes of 28 consecutive patients who underwent 23 - gauge transconjunctival sutureless vitrectomy for idiopathic macular hole between January 2013 and October 2013 in our hospital were evaluated. The follow-up time was 3-12mo. The operation effects were analyzed.
RESULTS:The macular hole was closed in 27 eyes of 28 eyes which underwent 23G transconjunctival sutureless vitrectomy and not closed in 1 eye after surgery. Best-corrected visual acuity at postoperative 1, 3mo was significantly improved compared to pre-operation (χ2=8-65, P=0. 003;χ2=10. 33, P=0. 001). The macular hole was closed as shown by OCT. Intraoperative incision was sutured in 5 cases ( 18%) . There was no statistically significant difference in intraocular pressure between pre-operation and post - operation. No post - operative complications such as endophthalmitis, retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage came up.
CONCLUSION: 23G transconjunctival sutureless vitrectomy is observed to be safe and effective technique in the treatment of macular hole. It is therefore our preferred system for straightforward macular surgery.

International Eye Science 2014;(7):1220-1222
Diabetic retinopathy is a major cause of blindness all over the world, and it is one of the most serious and common microvascular complications of diabetes. Breakdown of the endothelial blood - retinal barrier ( BRB ) , as occurs in diabetic retinopathy, result in vasogenic edema and neural tissue damage, causing loss of vision. The inner BRB is created by complex tight juctions of retinal capillary endothelial cells, this barrier prevents the free diffusion of substances between the circulating blood and the neural retinal, the inner BRB efficiently supplies nutrients to the retinal and removes endobiotics and xenobiotics from the retina to maintain a constant milieu in the neural retina. The central mechanism of altered inner BRB function is a change in the permeability characteristics of retinal endothelial cells caused by elevated levels of cytokines, growth factors, advanced glycation end products, inflammation, hyperglycema and loss of pericytes. This article reviews the relationship between diabetes and the ultrastructure changes of BRB.

M-waves and F-responses were investigated before and after massage using the bipolar surface electrodes to stimulate the tibial nerve at the ankle recorded by bipolar surface electrodes from the muscle flexor hallucis in 30 children with cerebral palsy. After treatment, the amplitudes of the M-wave increased (P<0.05 ); F-response reduced (P<0.05 )in the lesion side. The observations were made bilaterally and the results revealed no significant differences(P>0.05 )by comparing side to side. The latencies of Mwaves prolonged to 6.09~8. 28ms(P<0.05);F-responses 29.07~3l. 42ms(only Fn wave was P<0.05in the lesion side). The significant efficiency was 25.93 %,the efficiency was 88.89 % except that 2 objects did not change and one continued to deteriorate. The experimental results suggest that the massage can improve the functional disorder of the skeletal muscle and the ventral horn of the spinal cord.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2001;7(3):120-121
Objective To study the effect of the tissue components purified from earthworm on the thioredoxin system and its pharmcological mechanism. MethodsAcetate buffer purified the tissue components from the earthworm. The catalyzing activity of the thioredoxin reductases was dynamically measured on the 340nm wavelengthby the NADPH, an indicator by means of the reaction between the tissue components and thioredoxin system. ResultsThe absorbency of the NADPH was almost unchanged in the process of the reaction between the purified tissue components of earthworm and the thioredoxin reductase. On the contrary, the solvent to purify earthworm liquid and the clear liquid from boiled purified earthworm liquid had not above mentioned function. ConclusionsThere are some kinds of proteins in the tissue components of the earthworm, which could inhibit the activity of the thioredoxin reductase.

Objective To investigate the electrocardiographic(ECG) characteristics and assess the safety of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) of ventricular tachyeardia (VT), and frequent ventricular premature con- tractious(VPCs) originating from left ventricular outflow tract(LVOT). Methods Twelve-lead ECG analysis and RFCA were performed in 9 patient with VT or VPCs originating from LVOT. Results The sites to be successfully ablated were in left valsalva sinus in 6 patients, and subaortic valve in 3 patient. ECG revealed tall R wave in leads Ⅱ, Ⅲ ,aVF, V5 and V6. QS morphology in both leads aVR and aVL,QS morphology in lead Ⅰ in most cases. R wave in lead Ⅰ was relative tall, the R/S wave amplitude in lead V1 was over 0.62 ,and precordia R wave transition was irregular. All 9 patients were successfully ablated. No death or recurrenced case during follow-up. Conclusion Ventricular taehycardia and frequent ventricular premature rcontractions originating from left ventricutar outflow tract could be known by some specific ECG characteristics and could be radically treated safely by RFCA.

Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2016;30(4):362-368
Bipolar disorder(BD)is a serious mood disorder with high prevalence, morbidity and mortality rates. Glycogen synthase kinase-3β(GSK-3β) is a multifunctional serine/threonine protein kinase that is generally located in eukaryotic cells with such functions as the adjustment of the synthe?sis of glycogen metabolism, cell proliferation and differentiation and gene expression. It is involved in multiple signaling pathways and regulates cell signaling proteins, structural proteins and transcription factors through phosphorylation, affecting the survival of the neurons and plasticity. According to gene poly?morphism and clinical studies,GSK-3β may be associated with BD. As a GSK-3β inhibitor, lithium is an effective BD therapeutic drug, and the small molecule inhibitor targeting GSK-3βis also a hotspot of BD treatment. GSK-3βmay be a potential target in the treatment of BD.
