Neuropathy pain, or neuropathic pain (NP), which pathogenesis is complex and is lack of effective treatment, is one of common chronic pain in clinic. Studies of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in treating NP were increased in recent years. In the review, studies of treatments of TCM compound and monomer in NP during last decade were collected and analyzed to find out possible mechanisms, and some existing problems.

Objective To study the variations of the contents of trace elements in first section of tap water stagnating in pipe over night. Methods The first and middle sections of tap water stagnating in galvanized iron pipe for water supply over night for about 10 hours flowing through an iron tap and a chromed tap were sampled and determined for the contents of copper, manganese, iron and zinc by atomic spectrophotometry. The relationship between the variations of contents of four elements and the flow capacity was analyzed also. Results The contents of copper and manganese in the first section and middle section of tap water stagnating in pipe over night accorded with the sanitary standard for drinking water (SSDW), and revealed no significant differences between the first and middle section of tap water. The contents of iron in first section of tap water flowing through an iron tap and the contents of zinc in first section of tap water flowing through a chromed tap both exceeded the SSDW and revealed higher levels respectively compared with those in the related middle section of tap water. The levels of iron and zinc negatively correlated with the flow capacity (r Zn=-0.938,P

Objective:To study the effects of ozone aging on the color stability of the SY-1 silicone elastomer. Methods :40 SY-1 silicone elastomer samples were prepared and grouped into 4 with 10 in each group. The samples in each group were painted with gouache color, oil pigment and inorganic salt respectively, one group was used as the control. Then the samples were treated with ?=10 -4 % ozone at 10~16 mm/s for 72 h. The color of the samples were measured by 1976 CIE L *a *b * standards of chromatic aberration before and after ozone treatment. The chromatic aberration was expressed as △E=〔△L *)2+(△a *)2+(△b *)2〕 1/2. Results :After 72 hours of ozone aging, △E of the samples in the groups of control, gouache color, oil pigment and inorganic salt was 0.55?0.11, 3.55 ? 0.09, 1.40 ? 0.11 and 1.57 ? 0.07 respectively ;Conclusion:Under the ozone aging condition, the SY-1 silicone elastomers stained with oil pigment and inorganic salt may have better color stability than that with gouache color.

Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
The effect of Ultraviolet (UV) rays on the activity of parasporal crystal of Bacillus thuringiensis, var. Kurstaki HD-1 strain was studied by SEM, SDS-PAGE, bioassay and other methods. It was found that the morphology and surface structure of PC were damaged ,and its solubility in alkaline solution or silkworm gut juice was decreased after being irradiated by UV, the solubility was lost completely after a long time irradiation over 5 hours, so the processed PC could not be degraded into protoxin with insecticidal activity and was denatured.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2005;11(8):601-604
ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between plasma homocysteine (Hcy), polymorphism in 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) and cystathionine-β-synthase (CBS), and cerebral thrombosis.Methods87 subjects with first-ever acute cerebral thrombosis and 80 controls were studied. The plasma Hcy levels were measured using high-performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence detection (HPLC-FD). The polymorphism in MTHFR was determined by a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay and subsequent restriction enzyme digestion and that in CBS was determined by amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS).ResultsThe fast plasma Hcy level in the patient group was (15.28±4.33)μmol/L significantly higher than that ( 11.32 ±3.86)μmol/L in the control group (P<0.001). Different genotype had different influence on the plasma Hcy levels. There were no differences in genotype frequencies or allele frequencies between the patient group and control group (P>0.05).ConclusionCommon mutations in MTHFR, CBS G919A and CBS T833C lead to hyperhomocysteinemia. Hyperhomocysteinemia, but not common mutations in MTHFR and CBS is associated with the increased incidence of cerebral thrombosis.

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical manifestations of infant cytomegalovirus infection in different age. MethodThe clinical data of 237 infants who suffered from cytomegalovirus infection was analyzed retrospectively and divided into three groups: 0-3 months old (77 cases, group A) ,4-6 months old ( 65 cases , group B ) , 7-12 months old ( 95 cases , group C ). ResultsThe incidence of respiratory infection was the highest among all infectious organs in three groups, the numbers of patients who had wheeze in group A was less than that in the other two groups[24.7%(19/77) vs. 61.5% (40/65), 61.1%( 58/95 )](P < 0.01 ).The incidence of jaundice decreased gradually as the babies grew up[23.4%( 18/77 )→7.7%(5/65 )→1.1%( 1/95 )](P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in diarrhoea and bleeding among three groups (P>0.05 ). The proportion of alanine aminotransferase], aspartate amino transferase increasing was similar among three groups, but gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) was different, the proportion of GGT increasing was 77.9% (60/77) in group A which was higher than that in the other two groups[10.8% ( 7/65 ), 2.1% ( 2/95 )].Granulocytopenia in group B was obviously decreased compared with the other two groups (P < 0.05 ), anemia was easily occurred in group C (P < 0.05 ). ConclusionThe injury of cytomegalovirus infection may be related to month old.

BACKGROUND:Using three dimensional (3D) reconstruction techniques, any part of body is accessible to visual observation. However, reports concerning 3D reconstruction of craniofacial vascularity based on PC are few in China.OBJECTIVE:To explore the method and the application values of reconstructing a digital 3D model of craniofacial vascularity based on the data of CT strengthening scanning.METHODS:CT strengthening scan images from a healthy volunteer in DICOM format were imported into Mimics 10.01 software and craniofacial blood vessels were reconstructed with the technique of thresholding, editing and 3D region growing.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The 3D digital model of craniofacial blood vessels was obtained. This model could be zoomed and rotated randomly and displayed the spatial positions and adjacent relationships of different anatomical structures, also the reconstructed structures could be measured in 3D space. The 3D digital model of craniofacial blood vessels can be reconstructed conveniently and quickly with Mimics software on PC,and also it can bring morphological reference to human anatomy teaching, clinical neurosurgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery,as well as image diagnosis, and will be helpful to generate a virtual plateform in craniofacial surgery.
