To improve the yield of industrial fermentation, a method based on near infrared spectroscopy was presented to predict the growth of yeast. The spectral data of fermentation sample were measured by Fourier-transform near-infrared (FT-NIR) spectrometer in the process of yeast culture. Each spectrum was acquired over the range of 10000-4000 cm1.Meanwhile, the optical density (OD) of fermentation sample was determined with photoelectric turbidity method. After that, a method based on competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS) was used to select characteristic wavelength variables of NIR data, and then extreme learning machine (ELM) algorithm was employed to develop the categorization model about the four growth processes of yeast.Experimental result showed that, only 30 characteristic wavelength variables of NIR data were selected by CRAS algorithms, and the prediction accuracies of training set and test set of the CARS-ELM model were 98.68% and 97.37%, respectively. The research showed that the near infrared spectrum analysis technology was feasible to predict the growth process of yeast.
2.Disposable nursing applicator-pocket of indwelling central venous catheter
Chinese Critical Care Medicine 2017;29(11):1030-1031
Catheter related infection is the most common complication of central venous catheter, which pathogen mainly originate from the pipe joint and the skin around puncture site. How to prevent catheter infection is an important issue in clinical nursing. The utility model disclosed a "disposable nursing applicator-pocket of indwelling central venous catheter", which is mainly used for the fixation and the protection. The main structure consists of two parts, one is medical applicator to protect the skin around puncture site, and the other is gauze pocket to protect the catheter external connector. When in use, the catheter connector is fitted into the pocket, and then the applicator is applied to cover the puncture point of the skin. Integrated design of medical applicator and gauze pocket was designed to realize double functions of fixation and protection. The disposable nursing applicator-pocket is made of medical absorbent gauze (outer layer) and non-woven fabric (inner layer), which has the characteristics of comfortable, breathable, dust filtered, bacteria filtered, waterproof, antiperspirant and anti-pollution. The utility model has the advantages of simple structure, low cost, simple operation, effective protection, easy realization and popularization.

Objective To study the effect of glycine transporter 1 inhibitor M22 on epileptic sei-zures and cognitive dysfunction in epilepsy mice. Methods A total of 110 C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into Normal control group (CON group,n=10),Model group (Mod group n=20),M22-1 group (n=20),M22-2 group (n=20),M22-3 group (n=20),M22-4 group ( n=20) according to weight. The chronic epileptic model was established by intraperitoneal injection of PTZ(30 mg/kg). The mice in CON group was injected with normal saline(10 mg/kg). The mice in Mod group were intraperitoneally injected with normal saline (10 ml/kg) and were injected with PT2 30 min later. The mice in M22-1 group,M22-2 group,M22-3 group,M22-4 group were intraperitoneally injected with M22 of corresponding dose(10 mg/kg,20 mg/kg,40 mg/kg,80 mg/kg)respectively,lasting for 2 weeks. Epilepsy seizures of mice in each group were recorded. The learning and memory function of epilepsy mice were evaluated by Morris water maze test . Then the mice were sacrificed and the apoptosis related proteins Bcl-2,Bax,Cyt-c in the cerebral cortex of mice were meas-ured by Western blot. Results (1)The mortality kindling rate, epileptic seizure grade and rate of tonic clo-nus in M22-2 and M22-3 group were significantly lower than those in Mod,M22-1 and M22-4 group( all P<0. 05). (2) In the directional navigation experiment, the escape latency of mice in each group decreased with time. On the 4th day,the escape latency of mice in M22-3 group was significantly shorter than that in Mod group, and the difference was statistically significant ((30. 24±9. 46),(16. 05±5. 72),t=20. 36,P<0. 05). In space exploration experiment, compared with Mod group,M22-3 group had more times of crossing platform ((6. 45±3. 62),(3. 23±2. 47),t=38. 63,P=0. 004) and longer time of target quadrant activity((21. 53± 6. 38) s,(11. 52±3. 15) s,t=37. 53,P<0. 05). (3)It was showed by Western blotting that the relative ex-pression levels of Bcl-2 in M22-3 group were significantly higher than those in Mod group(P<0. 05),while the Bax and Cyt-c in M22-3 group were significantly lower than those in Mod group(P<0. 05). There was no significant difference in Bcl-2, Bax and Cyt-c between M22-1 group, M22-4 group and model group ( P>0. 05). Conclusion M22 (40 mg/kg) has significant anti-epileptic effect and can effectively improve the cognitive dysfunction of epileptic mice, which may be related to the inhibition of neuronal apoptosis in mice.[Key words] Epilepsy; Glycine transporter 1 inhibitor; M22; Cognitive function; Pentyle-netetrazole

Objective:
To evaluate the response of oral melphalan plus high-dose dexamethasone (MDex) for patients with primary light chain amyloidosis (pAL).
Methods:
Clinical data, hematological and organ responses, and survival of 76 patients with pAL who had received MDex from January 2009 to July 2017 were retrospectively analyzed.
Results:
Of 76 patients (47 males and 29 females with the median age of 56 [range, 20-74] years old), 19.70% patients were defined as Mayo 2004 stage 3, involvement of more than or two organs was presented in 65 (85.53%) patients. Among 60 response evaluable patients, overall hematological response was 48.33% with complete response of 20.00% and very good partial response of 20.00%, respectively. The median time to the hematological response was 5 (range, 1-15) months. 36.67% patients achieved organ response. After the median follow up of 23(range, 1-113) months for surviving patients, median progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were 34 and 43 months, respectively. In a three months landmark analysis, the median rates of PFS and OS were 46 and 65 months, respectively. The median OS rates of patients with Mayo 2004 stage 3 and non Mayo 2004 stage 3 were 5 and 65 months (
