Anaerobic ammonium oxidation (ANAMMOX), as its essential advantages of high efficiency and low cost, is a promising novel biological nitrogen elimination process with attractive application prospects. Over the past two decades, many processes based on the ANAMMOX reaction have been continuously studied and applied to practical engineering, with the perspective of reaching 100 full-scale installations in operation worldwide by 2014. Our review summarizes various forms of ANAMMOX processes, including partial nitritation-ANAMMOX, completely autotrophic nitrogen removal over nitrite, oxygen limited autotrophic nitrification and denitrification, denitrifying ammonium oxidation, aerobic deammonification, simultaneous partial nitrification, ANAMMOX and denitrification, single-stage nitrogen removal using ANAMMOX and partial nitritation. We also compare the operating conditions for one-stage and two-stage processes and summarize the obstacles and countermeasures in engineering application of ANAMMOX systems, such as moving bed biofilm reactor, sequencing batch reactor and granular sludge reactor. Finally, we discuss the future research and application direction, which should focus on the optimization of operating conditions and applicability of the process to the actual wastewater, especially on automated control and the impact of special wastewater composition on process performance.

ObjectiveTo investigate emergency diagnosis and treatment of pelvic fracture complicated with traumatic rupture of urethra and bladder,and to improve the success rate of treatment on pelvic fracture.MethodsClinical data of 52 cases of pelvic fracture complicated with traumatic rupture of urethra and bladder in department of emergency and urology from 2000 to 2010 was retrospectively analyzed.Results Among the 52 patients,there was 41 cases of pelvic fracture complicated with posterior urethral disruption,15 cases complicated with rupture of bladder and 4 cases complicated withtraumatic rupture of urethra and bladder at the same time.In 41 cases with posterior urethral rupture,6 individual's condition were relatively so severe that they onlyunderwent bladder puncture nephrostomy,and 29 cases underwent traction urethral realignment,the other 6 cases didn't undergo surgery; In 15 cases of patients with bladder rupture,2 patients were performed urethral realignment and bladder repair,11 patients underwent the bladder repair only and the other 2 patients were not performed surgery.There were 8 patients died and the mortality rate was 15.4％.Six died cases failed to conduct emergency surgery because of uncontrollable bleeding and another 2 cases died due to multiple organ failure.ConclusionPelvic fractures is a disease with more complications,it should be diagnosed as early as possible.Patients invalid for conventional anti-shock should be performed pelvic external fixation and emergency embolization to stop bleeding in the emergency department,and undergo associated processing after they are in stable condition.

Objective To evaluate the adjunct role of nerve stimulator in ultrasound- guided axillary bra-chial plexus block. Methods 50 patients undergoing lower elbow surgery in our hospital were selected from Sep-tember 2016 to November 2017. They were randomly divided into two groups with 25 cases each,which are guid-ance of ultrasound combined with nerve stimulator group(group US)and ultrasound alone group(group U). 32 mL of 0.4% ropivocaine were administered in both groups. The onset time and duration of sensory blockade in mus-culocutaneous,radial,median and ulnar nerve were recorded. The extent of sensory block of each in nervated re-gion and the anesthetic effect of surgical field(rated as excellent,good and failure)were both assessed. The anes-thetic complications were also observed and recorded. Results There were no significant differences in the onset time and duration of sensory blockade in both groups(P > 0.05). The anesthetic effects of surgical field were 92%in group US and 84% in group U(P > 0.05). No major anesthetic complications occurred in two groups. Conclu-sion Ideal anesthetic effects are achieved in both groups,and the successful rate of anesthesia in group US is not significantly increased. The role of nerve stimulator as an adjunct to ultrasound - guided axillary brachial plexus block may be very limited.

Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effects of compound Kushen Tang and its relevant mechanism in TNBS-in-duced ulcerative colitis ( UC) rats. Methods:UC was induced by TNBS in rats. After compound Kushen Tang was given orally, the levels of MDA, iNOS, and NO and the activity of MPO, SOD, and GSH-Px were measured. The general condition of rats and colon tissue morphology were observed. Results:The levels of MDA (P<0. 05), iNOS (P<0. 01) and NO (P<0. 01) and the activity of MPO (P<0. 01) in tissues of UC rats were significantly higher than the control group. The activity of SOD (P<0. 01) and GSH-Px (P<0. 05) were significantly lower than those in the control group. After the treatment with high doses of compound Kushen Tang, the levels of MPO (P<0. 01), MDA (P<0. 05), iNOS (P<0. 05) and NO (P<0. 01) were significantly decreased, and the activity of SOD (P<0. 01) and GSH-Px (P<0. 05) significantly increased. The therapeutic effect was dose-dependent and the general con-dition of rats and colon tissue morphology were also significantly improved. Conclusion:Compound Kushen Tang is considered as a no-vel therapeutic alternatives for the treatment of UC, which can reduce coloni inflammatory injury and ameliorate the colitis.

Purpose: The incidence rate of breast cancer (BC) has increased annually. Downstream neighbor of son (DONSON) critically affects cell cycle progression and maintains stable genomic properties; however, its relevant effects on BC growth and progression require indepth investigation. Methods: DONSON upregulation was validated in public databases. DONSON expression in matched BC and adjacent tissues and cell lines (MDA-MB-231, BT-549, and HS-578T) was determined using quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. In vitro apoptosis, invasion, migration, and proliferation tests were performed to ascertain the functions of DONSON in BC cell lines. Then, using western blot analysis, the levels of DONSON downstream proteins were determined. Results: Compared to the control, DONSON was expressed at higher levels in BC tissues and cell lines. DONSON knockdown facilitated apoptosis and limited proliferation, migration, invasion, and S/G2 transition of BC cells In vitro. Furthermore, DONSON overexpression promoted BC cell proliferation and inhibited apoptosis In vitro. Moreover, DONSON knockdown reduced cyclin A1 and cyclin-dependent kinase 2 levels. Moreover, DONSON knockdown limited the progression of epithelial-mesenchymal transition. Conclusion DONSON critically affects BC growth and serves as a possible target and marker for the efficacy of subsequent therapies.

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical efficacy and possible mechanism of Erzhi Tiangui prescription on repeated implantation failure （RIF） of kidney deficiency syndrome. MethodSeventy patients with RIF of kidney deficiency syndrome who underwent natural cycle frozen-thawed embryo transfer （FET） in the Reproductive and Genetic Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were enrolled and randomly divided into a treatment group （35 cases） and a control group （35 cases）. Patients in the treatment group took oral Erzhi Tiangui prescription from the third day of each menstrual cycle two months before the FET cycle and continued to take it until the day of transplantation from the third day of the menstrual cycle in the month of transplantation. Those in the control group did not accept traditional Chinese medicine （TCM）. In addition，10 patients who successfully achieved clinical pregnancy after the first natural cycle FET were screened from the reproductive medical record bank of this hospital and assigned to the normal group. Peripheral blood samples of patients in the three groups on the day of embryo transfer were collected from the specimen bank of the Reproductive and Genetic Center. Serum soluble programmed death molecule-1 （sPD-1），soluble programmed death molecule-ligand 1 （sPD-L1），transforming growth factor-β （TGF-β），interleukin-17 （IL-17）， and interleukin-10 （IL-10） levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA）. The changes in kidney deficiency syndrome scores， the final biochemical pregnancy rates， clinical pregnancy rates， and embryo implantation rates of the treatment group and the control group before and after treatment were observed. ResultCompared with the normal group，the model group showed increased serum levels of sPD-1 and IL-17（r=0.347，P<0.05），decreased levels of IL-10 and TGF-β （P<0.01），and non-significant change in sPD-L1 level. Serum sPD-1 was positively correlated with IL-17 （P<0.05） and negatively correlated with IL-10（r=-0.521，P<0.01） and TGF-β（r=-0.457，P<0.01） in RIF patients with kidney deficiency syndrome. After TCM treatment，compared with the control group， the treatment group showed improved TCM syndrome score （P<0.05） and increased clinical pregnancy rate and embryo transfer rate（P<0.05），but there was no statistically significant difference in the biochemical pregnancy rate between the two groups. ConclusionAbnormal expression of sPD-1 in patients with RIF of kidney deficiency syndrome breaks the balance of T helper 17 （Th17）/regulatory T cell （Treg），which is not conducive to embryo implantation and pregnancy maintenance. Erzhi Tiangui prescription，a TCM for tonifying the kidney，can significantly improve the symptoms of kidney deficiency in patients with RIF of kidney deficiency syndrome，reduce the concentrations of sPD-1 and IL-17 in the peripheral serum，increase the levels of TGF-β and IL-10，regulate the peripheral Th17/Treg immune balance，and increase the implantation rate and clinical pregnancy rate，which has a high clinical value.
