Objective To evaluate the kinetics of peripheral blood cells in DTC patients before and after 131I treatment.Methods A total of 64 patients were divided into 2 groups with different therapeutic doses:high-dose group (3.70-5.55 GBq,n =24) and low-dose group (1.11 GBq,n =40).The WBC,neutrophils (NEUT),lymphocytes (LY),RBC and PLT were counted before operation,before 131I treatment,and on 3 d and 7 d after 131I treatment.One-way analysis of variance and two-sample t test were used to analyze the data.Results The counts of WBC and NEUT in both groups along with the LY in high-dose group varied significantly before,and on 3 d and 7 d after 131I treatment(WBC:high-dose group,(6.30±1.04),(8.86±2.07),(6.59±1.64) × 109/L;low-dose group,(6.65±1.48),(10.17±3.04),(7.17± 1.57) ×109/L; NEUT:high-dose group,(3.75±0.88),(6.42± 1.91),(4.53± 1.54) × 109/L; low-dose group,(3.88±0.90),(7.12±2.77),(4.40±1.17) × 109/L;LY:(2.11±0.67),(2.06±0.74),(1.59±0.49) × 109/L;F values:3.88 to 30.20,all P＜0.05).The counts of WBC and NEUT in both groups were significantly higher on 3 d after 131I treatment than that before treatment (all P＜0.05).The counts of WBC and NEUT in both groups along with the LY in high-dose group decreased significantly on 7 d compared to that on 3 d after 131I treatment (all P＜0.05).The counts of LY in high-dose group also significantly decreased on 7 d after 131I treatment than before treatment(P＜0.05).The counts of RBC before 131I treatment and LY on 7 d after 131I treatment were significantly different between the 2 groups(t=2.36,-4.30,both P＜0.05).Compared with the counts before operation,LY,RBC and PLT were significantly higher (t values:from-4.92 to-2.45,all P＜0.05) during hypothyroid state induced by thyroxine withdrawal before 131I treatment.Conclusions Short-term kinetics of WBC and NEUT present as an increase first followed by a decrease after 131I treatment; while LY of high-dose group presents as a gradually decrease.Hypothyroid state induced by levo-thyroxine withdrawal leads to increased counts of LY,RBC and PLT before 131I treatment.

To establish an EDTA complexation extraction pretreatment combining with GFAAS method for the determination of residual aluminium ion in Huoxiang zhengqi pellets without digestive treatment, systematical investigation was made on sample preparation, and EDTA was used for the complexation extraction of residual aluminium ion in samples. The pH, concentration and volume of extraction solution, the temperature and time of microwave extraction, and graphite furnace temperature program were investigated. The results were compared with the microwave digestion. It was showed that, 0.1 g of sample weight was added in 20 mL 0.05 mol x L(-1) EDTA solution (pH 3.5), followed by heating at 150 degrees C for 10 min in the microwave extraction device. The determination of GFAAS was performed at optimized detection wavelength (257.4 nm) as well as graphite furnace temperature program, the detection limits and quantification limits were 2.37 μg x L(-1) and 7.89 μg x L(-1), respectively. The precision (RSD) was less than 2.3%. The average recovery was 96.9% -101%. The present method is easy, rapid and accurate for the determination of residual aluminium ion in Huoxiang zhengqi pellets.

Background The ocular nerve of trigeminus is the sensation and nutrition nerve of cornea.Whether trigeminal neuralgia affect the function of ocular surface and the morphology of corneal nerve plexus or not is below understanding.Confocal microscope is a non-invasive method for in vivo corneal examination.Objective This study was to analyze the ocular surface findings and observe the morphology and density of corneal nerve under the confocal microscopy in patients with trigeminal neuralgia.Methods Thirty-three eyes of 33 patients with trigeminal neuralgia were collected from the Department of Pain Management in Henan Provincial People's Hospital.The corneal perceptual sensitivity was examined using corneal aesthesiometer,and the function of lacrimal secretion (Schiemer Ⅰtest),tear break-up time (BUT) were performed to evaluate the influence of trigeminal neuralgia on ocular surface.The change of corneal nerve was observed under the confocal microscopy.The fellow eyes served as controls.The informed consent was obtained from the subjects before any examination.Results The fiber length of corneal perceptual sensitivity was (54.348±6.793)mm and (55.217±6.480)mm in trigeminal neuralgia group and control group without a significant difference between them (t=0.641,P=0.528).No significant differences were found in the mean value of Schiemer Ⅰtest (9.390±6.583mm vs 9.300±5.295mm) and BUT result (6.09±4.177s vs 6.13±4.799s) between trigeminal neuralgia and control group(t=0.070,P=0.945;t=-0.085,P=0.933).The densities value of corneal subepithelial nerve plexus at the nasal,temporal,superior,inferior and central area was insignificantly changed between trigeminal neuralgia group and control group(P=0.840,0.459,0.268,0.120,0.607).Tenuous,bending and circling nerve fibers were seen in corneal stroma under the confocal microscope,while the nerve fibers were strict in controls.Conclusion Trigeminal neuralgia does not dramatically affect eye surface function and corneal subbasal nerve plexus density,but corneal nerve fibers with trigeminal neuralgia are more bending than normal people.

90,180 and 360 mg·kg-1 on general central nervous system (CNS) of mice was investigated by general behavior observation, nembu-tal subthreshold hypnosis experiment, spontaneous activity test and rotary rod test. The changes in blood pressure, heart rate, electro-cardiogram, breathing flow and frequency in anaesthetic Bealge dogs were observed to evaluate the effects of the capsules respectively at the low, medium and high dosage of 16,32 and 64 mg·kg-1 on cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Results:The general behavior of mice was normal after the administration of Sansheng Jindan capsules. The capsules showed no synergetic hypnotic effect on nembu-tal, and had no influence on the spontaneous activity and body coordination ability of mice (P>0. 05). The blood pressure, ECG and respiratory index of anaesthetic Bealge dogs were also normal after the administration of the capsules (P>0. 05). Conclusion:There are no significant effects of Sansheng Jindan capsules at the experimental dosages on central nervous system of mice and respiratory and cardiovascular systems of Beagle dogs.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical application of the ureteral dilation catheter combined with the balloon catheter under the ureteroscope in the treatment of urethral stricture in men.

METHODSUnder the ureteroscope, 45 male patients with urethral stricture received placement of a zebra guide wire through the strictured urethra into the bladder and then a ureteral dilation catheter along the guide wire, followed by dilation of the urethra from F8 initially to F14 and F16. Again, the ureteroscope was used to determine the length of the strictured urethra, its distance to the external urethral orifice, and whether it was normally located. An F24 balloon catheter and then a metal urethral calibrator was used for the dilation of the strictured urethra. After removal of the F18-F22 urethral catheter at 8 weeks, the urinary flow rate was measured immediately and again at 3 months.

RESULTSAll the operations were successfully performed without serious complications. The maximum urinary flow rate was (13.3-29.9) ml/s (mean [17.7 ± 3.2] ml/s) at the removal of the catheter and (15.2-30.8) ml/s (mean [19.8 ± 3.9] ml/s) at 3 months after it. Smooth urination was found in all the patients during the 6-24 months follow-up.

CONCLUSIONThe application of the ureteral dilation catheter combined with, the balloon catheter under the ureteroscope is a good option for the treatment of male urethral stricture for its advantages of uncomplicatedness, safety, effectiveness, few complications, less pain, high success rate, and repeatable operation.

Using universal primer Tyl-copia retrotransposon RT, the conserved reverse transcriptase domain of about 260 bp was amplified by RT-PCR from the Dendrobium officinale which induced by 100 micromol x L(-1) abscisic acid (ABA), indicating these retrotransposons activated by 100 micromol x L(-1) ABA. The amplicons were recovered and cloned,then sequenced and analyzed by related bioinformatics software. Forty-two Ty1-copia like retrotransposon RT transcriptionally activated were obtained with high heterogeneity. The length of these sequences varied from 247 to 266 bp, and was rich in AT and homology ranged from 46.3% to 98.9%. The same to Ty1-copia like retrotransposon RT of genome, different c/s-acting regulatory elements induced by stress conditions and the starting transcription signals, corresponding to CAAT box, TATA box conserved sequences and some other regulatory elements. The c/s-acting regulatory elements induced by stress conditions of reverse transcriptase transcriptionally activated of Tyl-copia retrotransposons were significantly increased than that of Ty1-copia like retrotransposon RT of genome. When being translated into amino acids, fifteen sequences presented stop codon mutation, nineteen sequences presented frameshift mutation, and all sequences presented conserved sequence "SLYGKQ" mutation. Five categories were identified through phylogenic analysis after alignment analyses of their amino acid sequences, and with Ty1-copia like retrotransposon RT of genome having low homology, which indicated that reverse transcriptase transcriptionally activated of Ty1-copia retrotransposons which induced by ABA had Significantly differences with Ty1-copia like retrotransposon RT of genome.

Using universal primer Ty1-copia retrotransposon RT,43 Ty1-copia like retrotransposon RT with high heterogeneity, stop codon mutation and frameshift mutation were amplified by PCR from genomic DNA of Zhejiang Lin'an (C15) and Yunnan Guangnan (A39) of Dendrobium officinale. The length of these sequences varied from 260 to 266 bp, and was rich in AT and consistency ranged from 47.1% to 97.7%. Different c/s-acting regulatory elements induced by low temperature, heat, light, all kinds of plant growth regulating substances and the starting transcription signals, corresponding to CAAT box, TATA box conserved sequences and some other regulatory elements. When being translated into amino acids, ten sequences presented stop codon mutation, five sequences presented frameshift mutation, and thirty-seven sequences presented conserved sequence "SLYGKQ" mutation. Six categories were identified through phylogenic analysis after alignment analyses of their amino acid sequences, and with other plants (eg. Triticum aestivum, Eleocharis quinqueflora) having high homology, which indicated that horizontal transmission of retrotransposon occurred among the plants in the past.

Objective To provide information support for military medical service drilling with actual arms in field medical clinic. Methods The local netwok was built based on Intranet mode for military medical service. A distributed wartime military medical service information system was developed. The long-range consultation was carried through a consultation vehicle. The field medical clinic information system was integrated with No.1 Military Medical Project. Results The system has been used in drilling with actual arms of field medical clinic for three years. Conclusion The result shows that the system can satisfy the need of information management of field medical clinic and enhanced the efficiency of management greatly.

Objective Myelodysplastic spndrome (MDS) patients' chromosome aberrations were detected by CC and FISH method respectively,to establish standard FISH platform of diagnosis of MDS,to compare the differences of FISH and CC in the detection of MDS chromosome aberrations.Methods Chinese MDS patients fulfilled with the Vienna minimum diagnostic criteria were tested by CC and FISH method,and the patients' clinical data was collected at the same time.Results The standard FISH platform of diagnosis of MDS was established successfully,including probe combination of-5/5q-,+8,-7/7q-,20q-,-Y,the success rate was 100 ％.In 83 cases of MDS,chromosome aberrations rate detected by two methods was 42.2 ％,30.1％ of CC method and 33.7 ％ of FISH method,the accordant diagnostic rate was 76.1％.FISH had higher positive rate than CC method (29.6 ％ vs 18.6 ％,P =0.049) in the IPSS intermedian-risk 1 group,but lower positive rate in IPSS intermedian-risk 2 group (62.5 ％ vs 81.2 ％,P =0.036).There were 11 (19.0 ％) cases of clonal chromosome aberrations detected by FISH method but not detected by CC method,in which 10 (90.9 ％) cases were intermedian-risk 1 group (IPSS grouping).Evaluate IPSS by FISH and CC respectively,the accordant rate was 86.7 ％.Evaluate IPSS by CC alone will result in 3 patients (3.6 ％)decline in risk stratification,and evaluate IPSS by FISH alone will result in 8 patients (9.6 ％) decline in risk stratification.There were 35 (42.2 ％) cases of chromosome aberrations detected by the two methods,including 13 (15.7 ％) cases of complex karyotype and 22 (26.5 ％) cases of single abnormal karyotype.The most common chromosomal aberration was +8,a total of 9 (10.8 ％) cases,followed by abnormalities of chromosome 7,a total of 7 (8.4 ％) cases.Conclusion The study has established standard FISH platform of diagnosis of MDS,the method is stable,sensitive and rapid.FISH technology joint CC technology can improve the patients with MDS chromosome aberration detection rate.Compared to CC,FISH technique can improve the detection rate of the intermedian-risk 1 IPSS grouping MDS patients.Because of limited probe,FISH technique can not entirely replace the role of CC method in MDS,but can complement each other.

Objective To investigate the difference between the early phases and delay phase of three-phase bone scintigraphy on hemiplegic patients with earlier complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).Methods Twenty-nine stroke patients with hemiplegia complicating CRPS received three-phase bone scintigraphy after intravenous injection of 99Tcm-methylene diphosphonate (MDP). The region of interest (ROI)technique was used to obtain the radioactive counts of involved joints and contralateral sites on wrists,metacarpophalangeal,proximal interphalangeal and distal interphalangeal joints. The total counts of these four sites in each patient were then obtained and the total uptake ratios of involved joints/contralateral joints for each phase were calculated to compare the difference among the three phases. Wilcoxon test and ANOVA were used in data analyses. Results The involved joints of hemiplegic side displayed higher tracer uptake.There were significant differences of the radioactive counts between involved joints and uninvolved ones in the perfusion,pool and delay phase (Wilcoxon test,Z:-4.73 to -2.10,P＜0.05). There was no significant difference of total uptake ratios of involved joints/contralateral joints among the three phases ( ANOVA,F = 0. 807,P ＞ 0.05 ). Conclusions Due to higher bone seeking agent accumulation on three-phase bone scintigraphy,both early phases and delay phase imaging showed similar value in stroke patients with hemiplegia complicating earlier CRPS.
