Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of MRI in injured meniscus of the knee. Methods MRI and arthroscopic findings of meniscus injury(116 menisci)in 49 cases were comparatively analyzed. Results Among 116 menisci of 49 knee joints,MR imaging showed 0 grade in 11, Ⅰ grade in 14, Ⅱ grade in 50, Ⅲ grade in 38(grade Ⅲa in 17 ,grade Ⅲ b in 11,grade Ⅲ c in 10),and Ⅳ grade in 3. Conclusion MRI is of important diagnostic value in meniscus injury of the knee.

This study was aimed to explore the methodology regarding culture, proliferation and purification of adipose-derived stromal cells (ADSCs), and to study their biological characteristics. ADSCs were obtained using type I collagenase digestion method. Cell growth was observed, and cell viability were detected under different digestion period by MTT. The ADSCs were then identified and induced. The results showed that adherent cells digested by type I collagenase for 60 min had a strong proliferation capability. After the induction of different inducers these adherent cells could differentiate into nerve cells and fat cells. The best digestion period was proved to be of 60 minutes in the experiment. The results indicate that stem cells with multilineage differentiation ability could be separated from adipose tissue, namely ADSCs.

Objective To explore the treatment of traumatically amputated penis and the causes of success and failure in the varieties of procedures used to heal the wound and restore function. Methods Two patients with traumatically amputated penis were treated by operation. Results In one case the operation was successful, and in the other case it was unsuccessful. Conclusion There were numerous variables contributed to the success or failure of penile replantation. The most important factors were contamination and exsanguine time of the amputated portion of the penis. The actual surgical procedures and the appropriate pre-operative and post-operative treatments were crucial to the outcome as well.

BACKGROUND:Knee osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are common arthritis in the knee.In late stage of arthritis,severe deformation and activity obstacle are found,which require total knee replacement.The total knee replacement not only can significantly relieve symptom,but also correct deformation and improve joint function.OBJECTIVE:To summarize classification of knee joint,techniques of knee replacement surgery and complications following replacement.METHODS:We retrieved Vip Database (http://www.cqvip.com) for titles and abstracts with the key words of "knee replacement,prosthesis,complication".Articles concerning clinical application of knee prosthesis were included.Articles in the same field that published recently or in authorized journals were included.A total of 20 literatures were included for review according to inclusion criteria.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Various artificial total knee prostheses were used in different patients in accordance with patients' condition,joint limitation degree,fixation method and meniscus function.Indication of different knee prostheses depends on bone and soft tissue of the knee,and quality and status of knee ligament,joint deformation and destruction degree of articular cartilage are responsible for the choice of prosthesis.Thrombosis of deep veins of the lower limb,pulmonary embolism,infection surrounding the prosthesis and prosthesis loose are common complications in joint replacement.

Several epidemic influenza viruses leading to worldwide periodical pandemics all result from the genetic reassortment of different influenza viruses.The novel 2009 A/H1N1 virus is a reassortment virus evolved from swine influenza virus A/H1N1,avian influenza virus H5N1,and human influenza virus A/H1N1.The 8 fragmente genes of the novel A/H1N1 virus had their own evolutionary characteristics.All the pandemic viruses in humans originate from avian influenza viruses and are transferred into humans after reassortment processes in pigs.Pigs as middle host and a mixing vessel of influenza A virus play an important role in the evolution of the 2009 novel A/H1N1 virus.More attention should be paid on the role of swine in the prevention and control of novel H1N1 virus epidemics in future.

SIRT1 (Sirtuin type 1 ), a member of histone deacetylase, dependents on nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide ( NAD + ). It involves in the covalent modification of histones, participates in tumor development and progression through transcription, translation and post-translational modification and so on. Therefore, the expression of SIRT1 in tumor cells or abnormal function could be one of the important mechanisms of tumor development, and may become a new potential therapeutic target for neoplasms.

Objective To investigate the structure of the visiting technicians in Physiotherapy Department of Beijing Bo'ai Hospital, China Rehabilitation Center in the past 8 years. Methods 923 technicians visiting Physiotherapy Department from 2007 to 2014 were classified in the terms of provinces from, genders, ages, academic degrees, registers of practices and levels of hospital. Results Technicians visiting Physiotherapy Department came from 28 provinces (municipalities or municipality cities), (115.38 ± 5.30) persons per year, mainly aged 25-34 years (60.78%). The majority of the technicians (51.14%) accepted junior college education, and 46.37% did not registered for rehabilitation related practices. The visiting technicians were more and more year by year, especially rehabilitation technicians. Genders, ages and academic degrees influenced on the proportion of rehabilitation technicians. Conclusion Institutes sending the visiting technician need to balance the genders, ages and registers of practice, to meet the good practice.

Stilbene glycoside (TSG) has been shown to have many beneficial properties. It is therefore essential to understand the absorption and metabolism of TSG in detail. We determined the recovery of TSG and its metabolites (TSG sulfate/glucuronides) in rat gastric contents, gastric mucosa, portal vein plasma, celiac arterial plasma, bile, and urine after administration of 15mg of TSG in 0.5mL physiological saline or incubation for 20min in situ in the stomach of rats. Within 20min, (64.0±9.8)% of the administered TSG disappeared from the stomach; later, TSG was recovered in both free and conjugated forms in plasma and bile, but not in urine. On the other hand, only free TSG was detected in the gastric contents and mucosa; it was also detected in the portal vein plasma as (48.1±3.5)% of the total TSG (all forms of TSG). However, the proportion of free TSG in the celiac arterial plasma and bile decreased to 4%-10%. In addition, the proportion of free TSG to total TSG in the liver microsome incubation mixture after TSG was incubated in liver microsome at 37℃ for 30min was very low [(10.6 ± 2.6)%]. These results indicate that TSG could be quickly absorbed from the rat stomach, conjugated in liver and excreted in bile. Such novel information would be helpful for the use of TSG as a beneficial natural product which may improve its proposed efficacy in preventing chronic diseases.

Objective To study the expression of S1RT1 in breast cancer with diabetes mellitus,and analyze the correlation between SIRT1 and p53,and analyze blood lipid differences in breast cancer tissue without diabetes mellitus and breast cancer tissue with diabetes mellitus,and to research its relation with type 2 diabetes mellitus and assesse the clinical value.Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to examine the expressions of SIRT1 and p53 in 30 breast cancer patients with diabetes mellitus and 30 breast cancer patients without diabetic mellitus,and their correlation was analyzed.Results The positive rate of SIRT1 in breast cancer tissue with diabetes mellitus was significantly lower than that in breast cancer tissue without diabetic mellitus(P ＜0.05).In SIRT1 positive tissue,the expression level of p53 was significantly higher than that in SIRT1 negative tissue(P ＜ 0.05 ).The expression of SIRT1 was significantly positively related with p53 expression in breast cancer tissue with diabetes( P ＜ 0.05).BMI and TG in breast cancer group with diabetes mellitus were significantly higher than those in breast cancer group without diabetic mellitus( P ＜ 0.05 ),but HDL was lower( P =0.05 ).However,CHO and LDL had no significant differences in both groups( P ＞0.05 ).Conclusions SIRT1 is up-regulated in breast cancer,but the posltive rate of SIRT1 in breast cancer tissue with diabetes mellitus is significantly lower than that in breast cancer tissue without diabetic,and is associated with the progression of diabetes mellitus.SIRT1 protein is significantly positively correlated to p53 expression and it may be involved in the adjustment process of blood lipids,SIRT1 might be a new biological target in diabetes and breast cancer.
