To explore the anticancer effect of curcumin on human B cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and compare its effects on human B cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cells and normal peripheral blood mononuclear cells (NPBMNCs). MTT assay was used to study the effect of curcumin on the growth of Raji cells and NPBMNCs. The effect of curcumin on the apoptosis of Raji cells and NPBMNC were studied by flow cytometry and TDT-mediated dUTP nick and labeling (TUNEL). The effect of curcumin on the cell cycle of Raji cells were examined by propidium iodide staining flow cytometry. The results showed that curcumin strongly inhibited proliferation of Raji cells, 24 h IC50 for Raji cells was 22.8 +/- 1.82 micromol/L and curcumin induced Raji cell apoptosis in a time- and dose-dependent manner. Raji cells treated with curcumin showed G0/G1 or G2/M phase increase and S phase decrease. However, curcumin did not demonstrate apparent proliferation inhibition and apoptosis induction in NPBMNCs. It was concluded that curcumin is able to inhibit the proliferation of Raji cells by regulating the cell cycle and inducing the cell apoptosis. Morever, curcumin has low toxicity on NPBMNCs but can selectively induce apoptosis in Raji cells.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2006;26(5):538-41
The anticancer activity of trichostain A (TSA) on human B cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and its mechanism were explored. The effect of TSA on the growth of Raji cells and normal peripheral blood mononuclear cells (NPBMNC) was studied by MTT assay. The effect of TSA on the apoptosis of Raji cells and NPBMNC was studied by flow cytometry and TDT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL). The effect of TSA on the cell cycle of Raji cells was studied by propidium iodide method. The results showed that TSA potently inhibited proliferation of Raji cells at microgram concentrations and induced apoptosis of Raji cells in a time- and concentration-dependent manner. Treatment with TSA induced accumulation of cells in G0/G1 or G2/M and a concomitant decrease of cell population in S phase. However, NPBMNC was less sensitive to the cytotoxic effect of TSA than Raji cells. It was concluded that TSA may inhibit the proliferation of Raji cells by regulating the cell cycle and inducing the cell apoptosis. Moreover, TSA demonstrates low toxicity in NPBMNC but selectively induces apoptosis of Raji cells.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2016;34(10):761-766
Objective To investigate the changes in the concentration of myocardin in children with lupus nephritis (LN) under different degree of vessel damage. Methods Forty-nine children diagnosed with LN by routine tissue immunolfuorescence, light microscope, and electron microscope were included, and 30 healthy children were included as control group. The pathological classiifcations were performed according to the ISN/RPS 2003 LN pathological classiifcation criterion. According to the Katafuchi evaluation method, the semi quantitative assessment of glomerular and kidney tubule damage was carried out, and the degree of vascular damage was evaluated at the same time. Double antibody sandwich method was used to detect the concentration of serum myocardin. Results The glomerular and kidney tubules damage in children with LN were signiifcantly aggravated with higher pathological classification (P<0.05). Glomerular damage was positively correlated with renal interstitial damage (r=0.96, P<0.01). The degree of vascular damage was related to the degree of glomerular injury and renal interstitial injury, while it was no related with the results of clinical tests. There were different concentrations of myocardin among mild-, moderate-, severe-vessel damage and control groups (F=378.61,P<0.001), and the concentration of myocardin in moderate- and severe-vessel damage groups were obviously lower than those in control group and mild-vessel damage group (P<0.01) while there was no difference between control group and mild-vessel damage group (P>0.05). According to pathological type, there were signiifcant differences in the concentration of myocardial between control group and different pathological types (F=626.793,P<0.01). FromⅡ,Ⅲ,Ⅲ+Ⅴ,Ⅳ toⅣ+Ⅴ, the concentrations of myocardial were decreased systematically, and there were statistic differences between groups (P all<0.05).Conclusion The concentration of myocardin in children with LN can relfect the renal vascular damage to a certain extent. Elevation of myocardin concentration may be helpful for the repair of vascular damage.

Herald of Medicine 2017;36(1):109-113
Objective To develop transparency measurement scale on medicine use information in primary health care facilities. Methods The dimensions and items of scale were determined through literature review and expert consultation. The scale was used to investigate 100 primary health care facilities in eastern, central and western regions. Correlation coefficient analysis, Cronbach's coefficient, and exploratory factor analysis were used to select items. Five dimensions and 20 items were selected for the final scale. Cronbach's coefficient was used to evaluate the reliability of the formal scale. Factor analysis was used for construct validity evaluation. Results Dimensions were measured, including service processes, organization and regulation for pharmacy administration, patients informing and education, medicine catalogue, and the economic burden of patients. The scale had good reliability since overall Cronbach coefficient was 0. 844. Factor analysis extracted five common factors, total explaining 89. 69% of the cumulative variance, and the item distribution in five common factors was completely consistent with formal scale, indicating good construct validity. Conclusion This scale had good reliability and validity as a measurement tool to evaluate the transparency level of primary health care facilities in China.

Objective In the present study we used real-time quantitative RT-PCR to measure the relative expression levels of CGRP,CRLR,RDC-1,RAMP1-3 in periaqueductal gray(PAG)of intact rats. Methods With ?-actin as an endogenous control, write down the C T value and calculate the relative amount of every sample against its endogenous control. Results The results showed the specific amplification of CGRP,CRLR,RAMP1-2 in PAG of rats.Furthermore, the expression of CGRP and RAMP1 is the highest, that of CRLR is higher and the RAMP2 is low;whereas no band is detected in RDC-1 and RAMP3. Conclusion These findings suggest the specific expression of CGRP,CRLR,RAMP1 and RAMP2 mRNA and indicate their functional role in the modulation in PAG of intact rats.
