1.People-orientation for employee management in hospital administration
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2009;25(7):491-493
Such management theories as social exchange, equity and incentives are called into play to probe, from an array of perspectives, into the functionality and role of the employee orientation in people-oriented concept as it is used in contemporary hospital management. The paper also analyzed the dialectical relationship between the concept of "employee-orientation" and that of "patients or customers orientation", and the dialectical relationship between "people-orientation" model and "policy-orientation" model It pinpoints the mistake of overemphasizing "patients or customer orientation" and neglecting employee management in hospital management, proposing a people-oriented path centering on employees in hospital management.

Objective: To study the effect of free radical injury induced by Soman in rats and protection by Se/Zn. [WT5FZ]Methods: [WT5BZ]40 male rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, i.e., negative group, positive group, Se group and Zn group according to weights. The serum, cerebrum and liver VE content, nitrogen oxide synthase (NOS activity and T AOC (total antioxidative capacity) were determined. Results: The VE content and T AOC decreased markedly, and NOS activities increased significantly after Soman intoxication. The changes were less significant in Se/Zn supplemented group. Conclusion: The mechanism of free radical injury is indicated in Soman intoxication and Se/Zn supplementation has significant protection.

OBJECTIVE:To prepare Xielong liquor and establish its quality control.METHODS:Xielong liquor was prepared by classic merceration.Paeonia lactiflora in the formulation was identified by TLC,and the content of the active component ferulaic acid was determined by HPLC.RESULTS:The preparation was yellowish-brown in color and its TLC spots were clear and well-isolated.The linear range of ferulaic acid was 3.66~36.64 mg?L-1(r=0.999 8)and its the average recovery was 100.47%(RSD=0.84%,n=15).CONCLUSION:The preparation technology of Xielong liquor is simple and feasible and the quality of the preparation is stable and controllable, thus the established standard is applicable for the quality control of Xielong Liquor.

Objective To express the N protein of middle east respiratory syndrome coronavirus ( MERS-CoV) in prokaryotic expression system and evaluate the immunogenicity of the purified recombinant N protein. Methods The gene encoding N protein of MERS-CoV was synthesized and cloned into the vector pET30a to construct the recombinant expression plasmid pET30a-MERS-CoV-N.The transformed E.coli BL21 ( DE3) strains carrying expression plasmid were induced by IPTG to express N protein. The expressed protein was purified by using affinity chromatography.SDS-PAGE and Western blot assays were used to iden-tify the expressed N protein and evaluate its immunogenicity. Results The recombinant N protein was suc-cessfully expressed in soluble form with the size of 46×103 .The results of Western blot assay showed that the recombinant N protein could specifically react with rabbit serum samples positive for antibodies against N protein B-cell epitope peptide and mouse anti-His tag antibodies. No positive band against N protein was found when primary antibody was used with thirty adult serum samples from Beijing in 2008.Conclusion N protein of MERS-CoV was successfully expressed in prokaryotic expression system. The successful expres-sion of N protein laid the foundation for immunological diagnosis of N protein of MERS-CoV and researches on its immunogenicity.

Tong-Mai(TM) granules were composed ofRadix Salviae Miltiorrhizae(Danshen),Rhizoma Chuanxiong(Chuanxiong) andRadix Puerariae(Gegen). It had the effect of activating blood circulation. It had been used to treat ischemic cardio-cerebrovascular diseases in the clinical practice. This research combined serum pharmacochemistry and serum pharmaocology to study the material basis of active components in TM granules. After single or multiple intragastric administrations of TM granules, serum blood samples of rats were collected at different time points. LC-MS/MS method was developed to analyze chemical components of TM in blood serum samples. The cardiomyocyte hypoxia / reoxygenation (H/R) model was used in the evaluation of cardiomyocyte protection by TM. The correlation analysis was also conducted between serum concentration of TM and cardiomyocyte activity. The results showed that 8 components of pueraria flavonoid, 5 components of salvianolic acids and 2 components fromGegen were promptly absorbed and reached their highest concentrations at 5 or 30 min after administration. After 3 times of medication, the serum concentration was obviously higher compared to single medication. The drug-serum of TM showed significant protective effect on the cardiomyocyte H/R injury with dose-effect relationship. Daidzein, lithospermic acid, salvianolic acid A, salvianic acid A and rosmarinic acid presented as the most correlated components linked to the effect of activating blood circulation by TM. The serum pharmacochemistry / serum pharmacology related studies provided references for the verification of material basis of active components in compound Chinese medicine.

BACKGROUND:At present, spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury is considered as the main reason for secondary paralysis after spinal decompression, and to control the levels of stress-related proteins and excitatory amino acids plays an important role in the treatment of spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the expression level of protein disulfide-isomerase A3 (PDIA3) after spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury in rabbits. METHODS:Thirty-six New Zealand white rabbits were enrolled, the models of spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury were established using Zivin's method, and were then randomized into six groups (n=6 per group). The rabbit abdominal aorta in control group was exposed without vascular occlusion and then the abdominal cavity was closed 30 minutes later. In experimental groups, the abdominal aorta was blocked for 30 minutes, followed by 0, 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours of reperfusion, and then the abdominal cavity was closed. The neurological function was evaluated with a modified Tarlov score. The L3-5lumbar vertebrae were removed, and PDIA3 was screened by two-dimensional fluorescence differential gel electrophoresis combined with mass spectrometry, and then its temporal and spatial changes in the spinal cord were detected by western blot assay and immunohistochemistry. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The function of hind limbs was improved in all the experimental groups after spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury, and the modified Tarlov scores reached the peak at 24 hours after schemia/reperfusion injury, and decreased slightly at 48 hours. The expression of PDIA3 in the control group showed clear imprinting, which was slightly strengthened at 0 hour, became more strengthened at 6-12 hours, significantly reduced to the minimum level at 24 hours, and returned to the level of 6-12 hours at 48 hours after ischemia/reperfusion. Immunohistochemical results showed that there was visible PDIA3 in the cytoplasm of neurons, and the expression level in the interneurons was significantly higher than that in the motor neurons. These results suggest that upregulated PDIA3 appears in the development and progression of spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury, indicating that PDIA3 is closely related to spinal cord ischemia/reperfusion injury, which can be used as a new diagnosis and treatment target.

Objective To understand the negative emotion in primary caregivers of early diagnosed children with acute leukemia. Methods By purposive sampling, 17 cases were selected and investigated by semi-structuredinterviews. Colaizzi principles were used to analyze the data. Results Three themes were extracted:complex emotional response, too many concerns and weak support system. Conclusions The primary caregivers of children with acute leukemia at the early stage of diagnosis have negative emotions such as anxiety and fear, and suffer from psychological and economicpressures.Nurses should provide disease-related nursing skills training and personalized psychological care, and call for the establishment of the social support system and online communication platformto really meet their needs and alleviate the burden of care in order to better meet the follow-up treatment and care of children.
