Objective To explore the causes and treatment of difficulty of urination after suprapubic prostatectomy. Methods 56 cases with difficulty of urination after suprapubic prostatectomy were reviewed. The causes of difficulty of urination were bladder outlet stricture, urethral stricture, relapse of BPH and other nonsurgical causes. Results 48 cases were surgically managed, and the success rate was 94%.The follow up time was 2~84 months with a mean of 38 months, all of them urinate normally except in 3 suprapubic cystostomy has been mandatory. Conclusions Correct presurgical diagnosis, adequate surgical treatment and postsurgical management are key points in preventing postsurgical difficulty of urination.

Objective By investigating the departments of ECG and the staff in China,to study the current ECG status and thus provide references for training ECG workers, improving the work environment and stabilizing the ECG professional team. Methods One hundred and twenty four domestie grass-root hospitals were investigated through real-name questionnaire surveys. The data was collected and analyzed. Results Among the 124 investigated hospitals, the educational background description is:(1) The ECG workers in provincial or municipal hospitals had mainly been entitled with Bachelor's degree or above accounting for 72.7% of whole ECG workers;the ECG workers in the county or township hospitals were entitled with college degree or below, accounting for 85.7% of whole ECG workers. The difference between the two kind of workers was significant(P<0.01).(2) The proportion of ECG workers owning senior professional titles in provincial or municipal hospitals and county or township hospitals were both low, which were 12.2% and 3.6%,and the former one was significantly higher than the later(P<0.01).(3) The proportion of hospitals which established dependent department of ECG was low;the percentage of provincial or municipal hospitals was 23.4%,which was significantly higher than that of county or township hospitals (3.3%,P<0.05).(4) The provincial or municipal hospitals were well equipped and also conducted various of inspection projects in comparison to county or township hospitals. Conclusions The grass-root ECG staff in China has no satisfying education background and professional titles;ECG department belonging varies and the special inspection projects are insufficient and the economic benefit was low.So this study suggest that the competent departments take measures in improving ECG personnel enthusiasm, improving the working environment, and ensuring the healthy and orderly development of ECG profession.

A rapid, simple and practical high-performance liquid chromatography method coupled with diode array detector (HPLC–DAD) was developed to evaluate the quality of Alisma orientale (Sam.) Juz. through a simultaneous determination of four major active triterpenes using a single standard to determine the multi-components (SSDMCs). Alisol B 23-acetate was selected as the reference compound for calculating the relative response factors. All calibration curves showed good linearity (R240.9998) within test ranges. RSDs for intra- and inter-day of four analytes were less than 3.6% and 2.3%; the overall recovery was 92.1–110.2%(SSDMC). The proposed method was successfully applied to quantify the four components in 20 samples from different localities in China. Moreover, significant variations were demonstrated in the content of these compounds. In addition, hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA) and principal components analysis (PCA) were performed to differentiate and classify the samples based on the contents of Alisol C 23-acetate, Alisol A, Alisol A 24-acetate and Alisol B 23-acetate. This simple, rapid, low-cost and reliable HPLC–DAD method using SSDMC is suitable for routine quantitative analysis and quality control of A. orientale (Sam.) Juz.

Objective Previous studies showed that hypoxia preconditioning could protect cardiac function against subsequent myo-cardial infarction injury. However, the effect of hypoxia on left ventricular after myocardial infarction is still unclear. This study therefore aims to investigate the effects of hypoxia training on left ventricular remodeling in rabbits post myocardial infarction. Methods Adult male rabbits were randomly divided into three groups: group SO (sham operated), group MI (myocardial infarc-tion only) and group MI-HT (myocardial infarction plus hypoxia training). Myocardial infarction was induced by left ventricular branch ligation. Hypoxia training was performed in a hypobaric chamber (having equivalent condition at an altitude of 4000 m, FiO214.9%) for 1 h/day, 5 days/week for four weeks. At the endpoints, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the plasma was measured. Infarct size and capillary density were detected by histology. Left ventricular remodeling and function were as-sessed by echocardiography. Results After the 4-week experiment, compared with the group SO, plasma VEGF levels in groups MI (130.27 ± 18.58 pg/mL,P< 0.01) and MI-HT (181.93 ± 20.29 pg/mL,P< 0.01) were significantly increased. Infarct size in Group MI-HT (29.67% ± 7.73%) was deceased remarkably, while its capillary density (816.0 ± 122.2/mm2) was significantly increased. For both groups MI and MI-HT, left ventricular end-diastolic and end-systolic dimensions were increased whereas left ventricular ejection fraction was decreased. However, compared with group MI, group MI-HT diminished left ventricular end-diastolic (15.86 ± 1.09 mm,P< 0.05) and end-systolic dimensions (12.10 ± 1.20 mm,P< 0.01) significantly and im-proved left ventricular ejection fraction (54.39 ± 12.74 mm,P< 0.05).ConclusionHypoxia training may improve left ven-tricular function and reduce remodeling via angiogenesis in rabbits with MI.

Objective To study the development of the first county-level key clinical specialized talent teams in Henan province. Methods Data on the first 30 county-level key clinical specialized talent teams were collected through questionnaire in 2014 and 2017 respectively, and signed rank sum test was conducted to analyze such facts as the changes of medical service volume, academic titles and scientific researches of discipline leaders before and after such construction. McNemar′s test and chi-square test were conducted to study the age structure, seniority, education and technical title makeup of these discipline leaders. Such tests were also conducted to study the age structure, seniority, education and technical title makeup of the talents. These efforts aim to discern the construction achievement of the key clinical specialties. Results The indexes of healthcare capacities of the first batch of clinical key specialties were observed as improved ( P <0. 05 ) in terms of the medical service volume. Of the discipline leaders′ age structure, the 51 -60 age groups accounted for 40. 0% and 66. 7% respectively, before and after the construction, scoring a difference of statistical significance ( P <0. 05 ); the number of senior physicians increased by 80 persons, the number of physicians having master or above titles increased by 40 persons;the number of physicians participating in continuing education held by these specialties grew from 146. 50 to 262. 50(P<0. 05). Conclusions The volume of medical service of the first batch of county-level clinical key specialties has been elevated, and a group of talents of high education and senior titles have been recruited. Whereas, the title structure needs to be improved, and more young academic leaders are expected, while more opportunities of further education and training are also expected for the physicians, in order to enhance their professional ability.
