OBJECTIVETo study the early X-ray and CT findings of patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
METHODSChest radiography and CT were performed in 28 patients with SARS within one to three days after onset of the disease. CT examinations included conventional spiral CT and high-resolution CT (HRCT). The radiographic and CT findings of these patients were analyzed retrospectively.
RESULTSAbnormal CT findings were noted in all the patients, but abnormal chest radiographic findings in 17 cases (60.7%, 17/28). CT showed single small focal patchy opacities in 23 patients (82.1%, 23/28), including oval ground-glass opacities in 20 patients, lobular distribution ground-glass opacities in 2 and small patchy consolidation in one. Multi-focal ground-glass opacities were found in 2 patients and extensive opacities in three. In the 28 patients, a total of 31 lesions were found in the upper (7, 22.6%), middle (3, 9.7%), and lower lobes (21, 67.7%). The diameter of the lesions ranged from 20 to 35 mm.
CONCLUSIONThe dominant feature of early SARS patients is focal patchy opacity in the lung, and oval small ground-glass opacities are the common morphological findings on CT.

Objective To observe the clinical effect of endoscope combined with drug therapy in the treatment of hemorrhage of esophageal and gastric varices in patients with cirrhosis ,thus to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods From January 2017 to January 2018,58 liver cirrhosis patients with ruptured esophageal gastric varices bleeding in Tongji Huangzhou Hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology were selected and divided into two groups by random number table method ,with 29 cases in each group. The control group was treated with somatostatin alone. The observation group was treated with somatostatin combined with endoscopic therapy. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared ,and the clinical indicators and the changes of indices of TCM syndromes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups .Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 89.8%, which was higher than 79.3% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=9.75,P<0.01).After treatment, the pain, abdominal distention, poor appetite, nausea, weakness of the body tired ,depression, boredom, loose stool and other syndromes index scores of two groups were improved obviously ,the improvements in the observation group was better than those in the control group , and the differences were statistically significant (t =8.847,9.470,7.833,8.120,9.029,8.120,9.029,all P <0.05).After treatment, the white blood cells, platelets of the two groups were increased ,the spleen length to diameter, thickness of spleen, portal venous trunk, spleen vein diameter of the two groups were reduced ,the improvements in the observation group was better than those in the control group , and the differences were statistically significant ( t =8.934,8.923,8.933,9.463,9.478,9.463,all P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscope combined with drugs in the treatment of cirrhotic esophageal variceal hemorrhage has significant clinical efficacy ,and can effectively improve the patients'TCM syndrome score and clinical indicators.

Objective To investigate the value of butylphthalide and sodium chloride injectio combined with compound salvia miltiorrhiza injection in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. Methods From January 2016 to December 2017,104 patients with acute ischemic stroke in Tongji Huangzhou Hospital Affiliated to Huazhong University of Science and Technology were randomly divided into observation group (52 cases) and control group (52 cases) according to the digital table. The control group was given butylphthalide and sodium chloride injectio, and the observation group was combined with the compound salvia miltiorrhiza injection on the basis of the control group. The courses of the treatment in the two groups were 14 d.The effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group(90.38%,47/52) was higher than that of the control group(73.08%,38/52) (x2 =5.216,P < 0.05).After treatment, the daily living activity (ADL) score of the observation group was (60.49 ± 5.46) points, which was higher than (44.54 ± 4.10) points of the control group (t =16.845,P < 0.05).After treatment,endothelin-1 (ET-1),C reactive protein (CRP),homocysteine (Hcy) in the observation group were (37.42 ± 5.47) ng/L,(6.51 ± 1.89)mg/L,(7.42 ± 1.27) μmol/L,respectively,which in the control group were (58.98 ± 7.89) ng/L,(12.34 ± 2.65) mg/L,(15.39 ± 2.06) μmol/L,respectively,the levels of ET-1,CRP and Hcy in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (t =16.194,12.916,23.749,all P < 0.05).After treatment, the plasma viscosity, fibrinogen, whole blood viscosity at high shear and low shear whole blood viscosity of the observation group were (1.20 ± 0.23) mPa/s,(2.54 ± 0.37) g/L,(2.54 ± 0.37) mPa/s and (8.19 ± 0.68) mPa/s,respectively,which of the control group were (2.09 ± 0.32) mPa/s,(3.47 ± 0.58) g/L,(3.46 ± 0.59) mPa/s and (9.81 ± 0.82) mPa/s,respectively,the plasma viscosity, fibrinogen, whole blood viscosity at high shear and low shear whole blood viscosity of water of the observation group after treatment were lower than those of the control group(t =16.286,9.748,10.994,10.966,all P < 0.05).Conclusion The effect of butylphthalide and sodium chloride injectio combined with compound salvia miltiorrhiza injection in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke is significant, which is worth studying.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2020;54(2):145-148
Objective:
To investigate the CT features of hepatoblastoma in term neonates.
Methods:
The clinical data and abdominal CT features of 7 children with neonatal hepatoblastoma confirmed by surgical pathology from January 2015 to January 2019 in Hunan Children′s Hospital were retrospectively analyzed, focusing on the position, size, shape, density and dynamic enhancement characteristics of the mass.
Results:
All 7 cases were solitary intrahepatic mass, which affected the liver SⅥ in 2 cases, SⅦ in 2 cases, SⅤ+Ⅵ in 1 case, SⅡ+Ⅲ in 1 case, SⅣa+Ⅴ+Ⅷ in 1 case. The maximum diameters were 2.9-10.2 cm (median maximum diameter 4.7 cm). Four cases tumors were spherical shape, while 3 cases were irregular lobulation and extended to the outside of live. The boundary was clear in 6 cases and fuzzy in 1 case. Necrosis, calcification, patchy hemorrhage was shown in 4 cases, 1 case, 5 cases, respectively. All 7 cases tumors showed heterogeneous enhancement, with multiple nodular and lamellar obvious enhancement at the center and edge of the tumor in arterial phase, and gradually filling-in, presented as multiple bands and island-like enhancement, with prominent edge enhanced but no enhancement in the necrotic area in portal venous and delayed phase. The tumor invaded portal vein and bile duct in hilar area in 1 case, with the intra-hepatic bile duct dilation. The caliber of the abdominal aorta below celiac trunk became thinner in 3 cases. 6 cases were epithelial fetal type and 1 case was mixed type with pathological confirmed.
Conclusion
The main CT manifestations of neonatal hepatoblastoma are spherical or lobulated, with varied degrees of necrotic, hemorrhage and calcification, and heterogeneous enhancement with gradually regional expansion.
