1.Clearing Effect of Qingre Huashi Yiqi Huoxue Formulae on H.pylori and Its Influence on Gastric Mucosa Inflammation
Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1993;0(04):-
Objective To study the mechanism of Qingre Huashi Yiqi Huoxue Formulae (Formulae for clearing heat, dissolving damp, reinforcing qi and activating blood) for H.pylori associated gastric diseases. Methods The 70 C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into 7 groups with 10 in each:normal group, model group,Chinese medicine high, medium and low dosage groups, western medicine group, and the combination of Chinese and western medicine group. Ampicillin combined with H.pylori gavage was adopted to produce H.pylori infected models. Four weeks later, all the groups were given correspondent treatment. The morphological and pathological changes of the gastric mucosa and the colonization of H.pylori in the gastric mucosa were observed after 2 weeks. ResultsThe Chinese medicine high and medium dosage groups and the combination of Chinese and western medicine group had a better effect in clearing H.pylori (P0.05). The Chinese medicine high and medium dosage groups, western medicine group, and the combination of Chinese and western medicine group had a significant morphological changes (P

In order to meet the needs of national clinical medical education strategy, to train medical students’ability of analyzing and solving problems, it is imminent to carry out the reform on comprehensive experiment in basic medi-cal teaching.During the practice, the basic medical college of Hebei North University tried to integrate functional ex-periment and morphological experiment, and had some experience to share with medical education colleagues.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMFs) on bone mineral density (BMD) of spinal cord injuried (SCI) patients. MethodsThe PEMFs group was composed of 12 SCI patients received regular PEMFs treatment as the treatment group, 12 SCI patients treated without PEMFs were as the control group.BMD of total proximal femur, Ward's trigonum and great trochanter of all patients were detected by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry before and after treatment.ResultsBMDs of total proximal femur and great trochanter of patients of the treatment group were a little increased after PEMFs treatment, with no significant difference (P>0.05), but BMD change was significantly different compared with the control group (P<0.05~0.01).ConclusionPEMFs treatment along with routine exercise may help to reduce the loss of bone after SCI.

L1 is the major capsid protein of human papillomavirus (HPV) encoded by late gene 1. Based on the fact that L1 can self-assemble into virus like particle (VLP) with good immunogenicity, it has aroused wide concern in studying the pathogenesis of and vaccines against HPV. Nevertheless, there are a few limitations of present L1-based HPV vaccines. For instance, low expression of the protein and the complexity of purification result in the relatively low yield of vaccines. Type-specific antibody induced by L1 also results in the unsatisfactory cross-protection rate. Furthermore, there is no reported therapeutic effect against HPV-related diseases because of its undefined role in virus eliminating. This review focused on the structure, immunogenicity and role in immune response of L1 and the development of and latest progress in HPV vaccines.
