In order to study the relationship between the height and the measured results of body parts,the length of the foot,the width of the foot palm,the whole length of the hand,and the length of the forfinger,middle finger,little finger as well as the height of 489 young people were measured.The data was then analyzed by the digital computer.The results showed that the linear relationship existed between the height and the measurement results of six body parts mentioned above in males.The linear regression equations were as follows:(1)y=93 55x+3 26x(by the length of the foot);(2)y=130 79+4 18x(by the width of the foot palm);(3)y=76 15+5 33x(by the whole length of the hand);(4)y=108 61+8 76x(by the length of the forefinger);(5)y=94 85+9 47x(by the length of middle finger);(6)y=120 79+8 68x(by the length of the little finger).Also,the linear relationship existed between the height and the whole length of the hand and the length of the middle finger,The regression equations were as follows:(1)y=119 86+2 44x(by the whole length of the hand);(2)y=129 89+4 08x(by the length of the middle finger).There is not any linear relationship existed between the height and the measurement results of these rwo body parts as mentioned above.

The study on the Rauvolfia verticillata (Lour.) Baill., which belongs to Apocynaceae, was carried out to look for its chemical constituents and pharmacological activity. The isolation and purification were performed by chromatography on silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and ODS (octadecyl silane) open column. The structures of obtained compounds were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectral analysis. Three indole alkaloids and one acridone alkaloid were isolated from chloroform layer extract and identified as ajmalicine B (1), sandwicine (2), raunescine (3) and 7-hydroxynoracronycine (4) separately. Ajmalicine B (1) is a new compound belonging to indole alkaloid. Compound 4 as an acridone alkaloid was a new type compound isolated from Rauvolfia genus for the first time. We also did some biological activity research on the new type compound (4) to explore other pharmacological activities in addition to antihypertensive activity.

The expression of microRNAs (miRNAs) alters obviously in ovarian cancer.Through miRNA profile based on a microarray platform and further research on individual one,they are found to be closely related to pathogenesis,progression,recurrence,and drug resistance of ovarian cancer and have a good prospect in applying it in the early diagnosis,detection recurrence,prognosis and therapy of ovarian cancer.

OBJECTIVE:To compare the incidence of cerebral events in patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease compli-cating with cerebral microbleeds(CMBs)at the last stage of antiplatelet agent use. METHODS:140 patients with ischemic cerebro-vascular disease were selected from Beijing Anzhen Hospital Affilicated to Capital Medical University during Jan. 2013-Jan. 2014, and then divided into CMBs group and non-CMBs group according to whether complicated with CMBs,with 70 cases in each group. After followed up for 1 year(regular use of aspirin 100 mg/d and/or clopidogrel 75 mg/d),the incidence of recurrent cere-bral infarction and cerebral bleeding and mortality were compared. RESUTLS:The incidence of recurrent cerebral infarction was 12.9% in CMBs group and 8.6% in non-CMBs group,without statistical significance(P=0.412);the incidence of cerebral bleed-ing was 10.0% in CMBs group and 1.4% in non-CMBs group,with statistical significance(P=0.029);the mortality of cerebro-vascular event at the last stage was 5.7% in CMBs group and 4.3% in non-CMBs group,without statistical significance (P=0.698). CONCLUSIONS:The risk of cerebral bleeding increase in patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease complicating with CMBs after the application of antiplatelet agent. For patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease complicating with CMBs,the application of antiplatelet agent should be based on the complete judgment and weighing of benefit and bleeding risk.

With the progress and development of science and technology, biomedical technology has been widely used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) research. However, TCM and Western medicine developed and came into being at different times and from different cultural backgrounds. Their targets are to study and explore the objective laws of human life activities from different angles and by different means. To study and evaluate TCM simply by the diagnosis and treatment standards of Western medicine cannot truly reflect the characteristics of TCM. Lots of clinical phenomena in the diagnosis and treatment in TCM cannot be revealed scientifically. It might be a significant pattern to combine the study of TCM with Western medicine, based on double-screening model of combining disease with syndrome types, following up evidence-based medical research steps, and making use of systematic review and data mining to analyze the inherent laws of TCM symptoms.

Objective To investigate the effects of different doses of propofol anesthesia on the long-term cognitive function in neonatal rats.Methods One hundred 7-day-old male Sprague-Dawley rats,weighing 9-18 g,were randomly divided into 5 groups (n =20 each) ∶ control group (C group) and propofol 25,50,100 and 200mg/kg groups (groups P1-4,respectively).Groups P1 and P2 received intraperitoneal propofol 25 and 50 mg/kg,respectively.Groups P3 and P4 received intraperitoneal propofol 100 and 200 mg/kg,respectively,and after righting reflex completely recovered,an increment of propofol 50 mg/kg was given until the total amount was finished.Five animals in each were chosen and arterial blood samples were obtained immediately after the animals were fully awake for blood gas analysis.The rats were then continuously fed.When the rats were 9 weeks old,the spatial learning and memory function was tested by Morris water maze.The animals were then sacrificed and their brains were removed for detection of the expression of nerve growth factor (NGF) and Caspase-9 protein and mRNA in hippocampal tissues (by Western blot analysis and RT-PCR) and for microscopic examination of the ultrastructure of hippocampal neurons.Results There was no significant difference in blood gas analysis index between the 5 groups (P ＞ 0.05).Compared with group C,no significant change was found in the escape latency and frequency of crossing the original platform in group P1,the escape latency was prolonged and the frequency of crossing the original platform was decreased in groups P2-4,the expression of NGF protein and mRNA was down-regulated and the expression of Caspase-9 protein and mRNA was up-regulated in groups P1-4 (P ＜ 0.05).The escape latency was gradually prolonged,the expression of NGF protein and mRNA was gradually down-regulated and the expression of Caspase-9 protein and mRNA was gradually up-regulated in groups P1-4.The frequency of crossing the original platform was decreased in groups P2-4 compared with group P1 (P ＜ 0.05).There was no significant difference in the frequency of crossing the original platform between groups P2-4 (P ＞ 0.05).Nucleus condensation,chromatin condensation,nuclear fragmentation and apoptotic bodies were observed in groups P2-4.Conclusion Propofol anesthesia can impair the long-term cognitive function in neonatal rats,the effect is related to the dose,and inhibition of NGF expression and increase in the activity of Caspase-9 may be involved in the mechanism.

Objective:To solve the ultimate problem of research on tongue's texture,that is the real appearance and development rules of tongue's texture on healthy person.This article is proposed to provide the references on feature recognition of creature and judgments on cases of tongue's texture.Methods:After taking the continuous,systematic and different ages samples of tongue's texture by three medical instruments and the multidirectional double smoothing dimension extraction algorithm of area of tongue's texture,the binary images of tongue's texture are extracted and stored in computer database of tongue's texture to analyze comprehensively and systematically.Results:Among the 5 535 healthy person,it can be divided into two groups,the number of one group which couldn't diagnose tongue's texture exactly with naked eyes(without any amplification)is about 1 074 accounted for 19.40%and the number of another group which could diagnose tongue's texture clearly with naked eyes and computers is about 4 464 accounted for 80.60%.There are 18 sorts according to the appearances of tongue's texture in which the number of straight tongue's texture is about 69.00%,the horizontal tongue's texture is about 18.54%, the oblique tongue's texture is about 11.48%and the other tongue's texture is about 0.99%.Conclusions:The tongue's texture of healthy person show appearances of regularity,straight,horizontal and oblique texture.From the development rules of tongue's texture on 30 continuous observing healthy person and among the 1 233 cases,these conclusions could be made that any kind of slightly imbalance of yin and yang or obstruction of entropy flow will lead to the changes of color,diaphragm,material being of tongue's texture.It will also change according to the patient's condition.

Objective To study the effect of p38 mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway inhibitors SB203580 on cell cycle of K562 cell lines and its mechanisms. Methods The expression of mRNA and protein of p38,Cyclin D2,Cyelin E and P27 in K562 cell lines treated with SB203580 were detected by retrotranscription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blotting, respectively. Cell cycle was determined by flow eytometry (FCM). Results The expressions of mRNA and protein of p38, Cyclin D2 and Cyclin E in K562 cell lines treated with SB203580 were decreased and the expression of p27 was increased.The percentage of cells in G0/G1 phase was increased and was decreased in S phase. There was a significant difference as compared with K562 cell lines before treated with SB203580. Conclusion SB203580 can affect cell cycle regulatory proteins by p38 pathway and eventually inhibit proliferation of K562 cells.

Objective: To observe the effect of strengthening qi and nourishing yin recipe (SQNY recipe) on the expressions of estrogen receptor ? (ER?) and CyclinD1 of Lewis lung cancer in C57BL/6 mice with immunohistochemistry, and discuss the mechanism of its anti-proliferation and anti-metastasis effects, and analyse the correlation between ER? and CyclinD1. Methods: Twenty-four C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into three groups. They were all transplanted with Lewis lung cancer cells, and received the interventions the next day as follows: tumor-bearing control group was fed with 0.9% NaCl, and TCM group was treated with SQNY recipe, and DDP group was given intraperitoneal DDP injection. All of mice were killed on the 20th day, weighed the tumor and counted lung metastases to calculate the inhibition rates of tumor growth and metastasis. The expressions of ER?, CyclinD1 in tumor tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry.
