3.Specification of Centralized Management for Hospital Medical Device

Objective To discuss the specification of centralized management of hospital medical equipment to enhance the efficiency and economical benefit.Methods Centralized management center of medical equipment and general medical equipment leasing system were established.The environment requirements,economic accounting and data statistics were also discussed.Results The utilization rate of medical equipment was enhanced greatly,and purchase cost was decreased.Conclusion Hospital administrators can find reference to serve for first-line clinician.

5.Comparison of common decompression tables for routine heliox diving

To meet the requirements for the development of marine resources and military operations, divers usually dive deeper than the depth at which narcosis is present during air diving.Under this condition, heliox is required for this div-ing.Sofar, some countries have developed their own decompression tables for routine heliox diving.The best-known is tables from USA and France.In the preceding century, tables of Former Soviet Union and France used for routine heliox diving were introduced into China.On the basis of both types of tables,Chinese Navy developed their own tables for this purpose. In this paper, we summarized the characteristics of these tables from 5 countries and compared them in terms of structure, oxygen use, total decompression time, first stop and other features.This may provide a basis for future modification of ta-bles used in China and the development of new tables for routine heliox diving.
6.Expanded artery island skin flap transplantation for face injury in 20 cases

AIM:To observe the postoperative effect of the application of expanded artery island skin flap on the treatment of injuries of face.METHODS:Totally 20 patients,who were treated with expanded artery island flap transplantation for face injury at Cosmetic and Plastic Institute,Weifang Medical College,were selected between January 1997 and September 2004.Patients knew the trial and agreed to participate in it.All patients received two phases operation:During the first period of the treatment,according to the different characteristics and requirements of the patients,suitable expander was implanted and water was input regularly.During the second period,the expanded island skin flap was used to cure the injuries on the face or do organ reconstruction.The skin flap was 2.5 cm? 3.5 cm-5.0 cm?7.5 cm,and vessel pedicle was 12.5 cm at most.Follow up was done regularly after operation.RESULTS:A total of 20 patients were involved in the result analysis,no drop out.Follow-up was done for 6-24 months in 20 patients.There were 4 cases of at least 6 months and less than 12 months,7 cases of at least 12 months and less than 18 months,9 cases of at least 18 months and less than 24 months.After expandor implantation in the first period,the expanded skin received skin repair or organ reconstruction in the second period.The healing of the injuries was good and scars of the skin and organ displacement were not clearly seen.Their function was recovered well and shape was ameliorated.CONCLUSION:The expanded island skin flap can provide comparatively large-region flap and long vessel pedicle to increase the angle and flexibility of flap rotation,and make the repair looks closer to the normal area.
7.Software design for Management Information System of Medical Materials

Objective To develop the software of Management Information System of Medical Materials.Methods Based on the platform of NET,three layers of C/S was applied in equipment & apparatus department for good operation platform,frequent data access and rapid response.Besides,the current HIS was utilized to protect the system to be extensible,easily-updated and easily-maintained.Results The application of Management Information System of Medical Materials could meet the requirement in scientific and standard supply,application and management of medical materials.The software was used in scores of hospitals with good effect.Conclusion Being able to organically integrate with other functional module,the software provides a powerful tool for the scientific management of hospital equipment.
8.Establishing a macrophage-derived foam cell model using U937cell lines

AIM: Stable human macrophage-derived foam cell model is significant for the study on artherosclerosis. This study investigated the feasibility of establishing macrophage-derived foam cell model using U937 cell lines. METHODS: The experiment was performed at Institute of Basic Medicine, Chengde Medical College from March to September 2006. ①U937 cell lines were purchased from Institute of Biochemistry & Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. ②Sixteen bottles of U937 cells (109 L-1) were incubated at 37 ℃ in saturated humidity containing 5% CO2 for 72 hours. Among them, eight bottles contained 100 ?g/L phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate (PMA) and 100 mg/L low-density lipoprotein (LDL) as experimental group, and the other eight bottles only 100 mg/L LDL as control group. ③Cell morphology was studied under light microscope by Wright's and Oil red O staining. Cell total cholesterol (TC) was measured after 72 hours of incubation. RESULTS: A large amount of lipid droplets were found in the cytoplasm by Oil red O staining in cells of the experimental group, but not found in control group cells. 9.Effect of artificial cycle on expression of MMP-9 and TGF-β1 of endometria in patients with uterine adhesion

Objective To investigate the effect of the artificial cycle on the prognosis after transcervical resection of adhesion (TCRA) and its mechanism .Methods 80 patients with intrauterine adhesion were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group .The observation group were performed TRCA and postoperative artificial cycle for successive 3 months :oral es-tradiol valerate(9 mg once daily) for 21 d ,adding oral medroxyprofgesterone acetate(10 mg once dialy) on 15 d ,then the medication discontinuation for 7 d ,which was taken as 1 cycle;the control group received only TCRA .The re-examination was performed after 3 months .The levels of follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) ,luteinizing hormone(LH) ,estradiol(E2 ) ,prolactin(PRL) ,progesterone (P) and testosterone(T) were examined by ELISA after TCRA three months .The expression of MMP-9 and TGF-β1 in adhesive endometrium were detected by real-time PCR and Western blot .Results Compared with the control group ,the artificial cycle thera-py combined with the operation could significantly increase the effective rate of TCRA for treating mild and moderate intrauterine adhesion(P<0 .05);the seum levels of FSH ,LH ,E2 ,PRL ,P and T had no statistical differences between the observation group and the control group(P>0 .05);the artificial cycle significantly improved the adhesive degree of intrauterine adhesion ,increased the MMP-9 expression and decreased the TGF-β1 expression .Conclusion Artificial cycle could improve the degree of uterine cavity ad-hesion after TCRA ,which the mechanism might be related to the increase of MMP-9 expression and decrease of TGF-β1 expres-sion .
10.Protection of Astragaloside Derivate on Oxidative Stress and Hypertrophy in Cardiomyocytes

Objective The astragaloside Ⅳ(ASI)has been proved to play an important role in protecting against cell death on cardiovascular diseases.This study aims to investigate the effect of the astragaloside derivate.(ASId)on confronting oxidative stress and hypertrophy in myocardial cells.Methods Following exposure embryonic rat cardiac H9c2 cells to hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)and angiotensin Ⅱ for developing oxidative stress and hypertrophy,ASId at final concentrations(0.1,1,and 10 μmol/L)was added to study its role in protecting cardiomyocytes by biochemical detection and cell size measurement In addition,the mitochondrial permeability transition pore(mPTP)opener atractyloside(20 μmol/L)and inhibitor cyclosporin A(CSA)(1 μmol/L)were employed to investigate the possible mechanisms for anti-oxidation.Results ASId at 1 and 10 μmol/L in cultures suppressed oxidative stress at different degrees,which induced the decrease in LDH activity and MDA content,and also the increase in SOD activity in comparable with the model group; The mPTP opener atractyloside and inhibitor CSA weakened and strengthened the role of ASId,respectively.ASId at 10 μmol/L inhibited cell hypertrophy,and the cell diameter,surface area,and protein content were all decreased in comparable of those cells in model group.Conclusion ASId is involved in the cytoprotective effects on oxidative stress through a pathway mediated by mPTP,and also has a protective effect against hypertrophy.
