Objective To explore the expression of thrombospondin-1 ( TSP-1 ) and bone morphogenetic protein-7 ( BMP-7 ) in mucus membrcane of chronic rhinosinusitis ( CRS ) and its potential significance in pathogenesis . Methods TSP-1 ,BMP-7 and TGF-β1 were detected by ELISA .Results The expression level of TSP-1 and TGF-β1 increased gradually with the advanced stage of CRSsNP ( P<0.05 ) .The expression of BMP-7 decreased gradu-ally with the advanced stage of CRSsNP ( P<0.05 ) .The expression of TSP-1 and TGF-β1 decreased gradually with the advanced stage of CRSwNP ( P<0.05 ) .The expression level of BMP-7 increased gradually with the ad-vanced stage of CRSwNP ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusions The expressions of TSP-1 and BMP-7 were abnormal in nasal mucosa of CRS , which might be involved in the pathogenesis of CRS .

Objective To translate Parents' Perception of Uncertainty Scale (PPUS) into Chinese,analyze and selected items,and then test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of PPUS initially.Methods 210 parents of hospitalized children were recruited for the investigation.Frequency analysis,dispersion degree analysis,correlation analysis and so on were applied to analyze and select items.Internal consistency test,Pearson correlation analysis and exploratory factor analysis etc.were applied to test reliability and validity of the scale.Results The final Chinese version of PPUS contained 28 items.The Cronbach α and parity split-half reliability coefficients were 0.844 and 0.835; The Cronbach α coefficient of 4 dimensions ranged from 0.537 to 0.770.The item-total scale correlation coefficient ranged from 0.300 to 0.737.Item-dimension correlation coefficients ranged from 0.376 to 0.762.Item-other dimension correlation coefficients ranged from 0.028 to 0.514.Dimension-total scale correlation coefficients ranged from 0.480 to 0.863 and those between dimensions ranged from 0.226 to 0.536.In the content validity assessed by experts,I-CVI ranged from 0.75 to 1.00,S-CVI/Ave was 0.928.Four-factor model was performed in the principal component analysis and they explained for 41.401％ variances.The maximum factor loading of all items were higher than 0.3,and most of items had adequate loadings in related dimensions.Conclusions Chinese version of PPUS had appropriate reliability and validity as an assessment tool for parental uncertainty in illness of hospitalized children' parents.

Objective To explore the application of the paries anterior vagina U shape muscularis mucosal flap for the repairing of female complicated urethrovaginal fistula.Methods Fifteen complicated urethrovaginal fistulas patients resulted from severe pelvic fracture and with history of failing repairing urethrovaginal fistulas were analyzed retrospectively.The mean diameter of maximum urethrovaginal fistula was approximately 2.3 cm.The paries anterior vagina U shape mucosal flaps were used to repair the urethrovaginal fistulas,and the paries anterior vagina muscularis mucosae were used to cover the fistulas surface again.Results Fifteen patients were followed up for 6 to 80 months,and they gained normal voiding,with no urine leakage,urinary incontinence and urethral stricture occurring.Conclusion The paries anterior vagina U shape mucosal flap is an effective technique for repairing complicated urethrovaginal fistula.

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment outcomes of testieulax endodermal sinus tumor. Methods Twenty-four cases diagnosed with testieular endodermal sinus tumors from November 1996 to April 2007 were retruspeetively reviewed. Eighteen patients presented with stage Ⅰ disease, 4 presented with stage Ⅰ , and 2 presented with stage Ⅲ. Inguinal radical or-chieetomy were performed in all patients. Retroperitoneal lymph node dissection was performed in 8 ea-ses. Results The histological structures were rather complicated in 24 tumors. Twenty-three eases (96%) were found with reticular pattern, 22(92%) with hyaline body, 20(83%) with glandlike structure, 16(67%) with Shiller-Dural body, and 13(54%) with solid formation. The former 3 kinds were regarded as the main diagnostic criteria. Twenty-one eases were followed up for 20 months to 12 years. During the follow-up, 2 patients died of the disease. Condesions Early diagnosis and combi-nation therapy, including radical orehieetomy and chemotherapy, are the keys to improve the curative effect of testieular endodermal sinus tumors. Active surveillance of AFP is critical for monitoring the recurrence and metastasis of this tumor.

AIM: To study the regulatory effect of curcumin on expression of heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in the lung of rat treated with LPS. METHODS: Eighteen rats were divided into three groups injected with different agents via lingua vein: control group (animals received equivalent saline) , LPS group (animals received a bolus dose of LPS 5 mg?0.5 mL-1?kg-1) and LPS+ curcumin group (animals received AP- 1 inhibitor curcumin 20 mg?0.5 mL-1?kg-120 min before the injection of LPS 5 mg ?0.5 mL-1?kg-1) . The expression of HO-1 mRNA and protein in the lung were examined 7 h after LPS administration by reverse transcribed polymerase chain reaction (RT- PCR) and Western blotting, respectively. Carboxyhemoglobin (HbCO) formation within pulmonary tissue was measured to represent CO content. Objective To construct a eukaryotic vector which contains avian H5N1 influenza virus hemagglutinin (HA) antigen and the cholera toxin B subunit (CTB) and to investigate its expression in COS7 cells,and the ability to induce specific immune responses in vivo in different periods.Methods After cloned by polymerase chain reaction (PCR),CTB and HA genes were digested with BamH Ⅰ and connected into CTB-HA gene with T4 ligase.The connected gene was referred to as CH.After double digestion,CH gene was inserted into a eukaryotic recombinant plasmid pCI-neo.The pCI-CH plasmid was then transfected into COS7 cells.Western blot was used to detect the expression of HA antigen.After New Zealand white rabbits were immunized,the titer of HA antigen-specific antibody in serum and its specificity with other strains such as H1N1,H9N1,H3N2 and influenza B virus were determined by indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results The pCI-CH vector (DNA vaccine) was successfully constructed,which could be efficiently expressed in COS7 cells and induce specific antibodies against pCI-CH in rabbits.Cross reactions indicated that DNA vaccine pCI-CH specific antisera could not only react with H5N1 strain (P/N＞2.1),but also H1N1,H9N1 and H3N2 strains,but did not cross react with influenza B virus.Conclusion The newly constructed avian H5N1 influenza virus nucleic acid vaccine has good immunogenicity.

Objective To investigate the clinical and head CT imageological features features in 276 cases of intracranial tubercu‐losis .Methods The clinical and CT features in 276 inpatients with confirmed intracranial tuberculosis were analyzed .Results These 276 cases of intracranial tuberculosis all were complicated by pulmonary tuberculosis ,among them blood‐borne type accoun‐ted for 49 .6% ; young and middle‐aged cases were predominant (72 .5% ) ; the majority manifested by the symptoms of fever (70 .0% ) and headache(66 .2% ) ;the summer and autumn had the higher incidence rate ,which were 167 cases(80 .7% ) .The posi‐tive detection rate of head CT plain scanning was 63 .4% ,which of enhanced scanning was 98 .6% .Among them ,236(85 .5% ) cases were tuberculous meningitis lesions ,158 cases(57 .2% ) were tuberculous encephalitis ,144 cases (52 .2% ) were tuberculoma and 133 cases (48 .2% ) were tuberculous vasculitis .Conclusion The clinical menifestations of intracranial tuberculosis are atypical ,but the head CT plain scannig displays multiple abnormalities .Moreover ,the enhanced scanning increases the positive detection rate . The lesions of meninges ,brain vessels and brain parenchyma often occur together .Therefore ,the diagnosis basis should be combined with clinic ,laboratory tests and head CT ,especially the clinical application of head CT enhanced scanning should be paid attention to .

Objective To investigate the treatment strategies and clinical effects in treatment of floating knee in children.Methods A retrospective case series study was made on 26 cases of floating knee treated from July 2005 to June 2015.There were 22 males and four females, aged from 2-14 years (mean, 7.6 years).According to the Letts classification of the floating knee, ten cases were with type A, four with type B, two with type C, eight with type D, and two with type E.Closed fractures were noted in 16 cases and open fractures in 10 cases.According to the Gustilo classification of open fractures, one was with type ⅢA, six with type ⅢB, and three with type ⅢC.One case was amputated from the distal of the femur, eight cases were treated by traction and plaster caster, and 17 cases were treated by reduction and fixation of both femoral and tibil fractures.Wound healing, fracture union, Karsstrom criteria for functional outcome and complications were detected.Results All patients were followed up for mean 2.8 years (range, 1-6 years).One case of Gustilo type ⅢA and six cases of Gustilo type ⅢB open fractures had wound healing after one-stage debridement.Two cases of Gustilo type ⅢC showed wound healing after second-stage skin grafting.One case of Gustilo type ⅢC had amputation wound infection and was cured after a second debridement and dress change.Two had delayed union and there was no nonunion.According to the Karlstrom criteria, the excellent and good rate of functional outcome was 25% and 83% respectively in nonoperative and operative population (P<0.05).Malunion was found in four cases, genu vagum in three and overgrowth of 10-20 mm in seven.There was no premature closure of epiphysis.Conclusion Femur and tibia immobilization of floating knee in children is effective for bone union and functional recovery.
