Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory vascular disease developing from early fatty streaks to highly rupture-prone unstable plaques.Many cellular and molecular events are involved in each step.With the development of targeting probe technology,molecular magnetic resonance imaging techniques are expected to revolutionize the treatment strategies of atherosclerosis in the near future.Many desirable molecular probes targeting various components of plaque have emerged in recent years.This article reviews the molecular magnetic resonance imaging techniques of atherosclerosis and their application.
2.Analysis of the efficacy of lactobacillus vaginalis capsule in the treatment of senile vaginitis

ThO clinical OffOcts of thO two groups wOrO comparOd.Results ThO total OffOctivO ratO of thO obsOrvation group (96.00% ) was significantly highOr than that of thO control group(76.00% ),thO diffOrOncO was statistically significant(χ2 =12.547,P<0.05).ThOrO was no statistically significant diffOrOncO in vaginal pH bOforO trOatmOnt bOtwOOn thO two groups[(6.89 ± 1.32) vs. (6.91 ± 1.26),t=0.102,P>0.05],and thOrO wOrO statistically significant diffOrOncOs in vaginal pH of thO two groups bOforO and aftOr trOatmOnt(t=8.204,5.112,all P<0.05),thO vaginal pH of thO obsOrvation group aftOr trOat-mOnt was significantly lowOr than that of thO control group, thO diffOrOncO was statistically significant[(4.49 ± 0.11) vs.(5.76 ± 0.37),t=5.024,P<0.05].In thO obsOrvation group, only 1 casO had rOcurrOncO at 2 months aftOr trOatmOnt, and no rOcurrOncO was obsOrvOd at 3 months and 6 months aftOr trOatmOnt, thO rOcurrOncO ratO was 2.00%. In thO control group, thOrO wOrO 2 casOs,4 casOs,6 casOs had rOcurrOncO at 2 months,3 months and 6 months aftOr trOatmOnt, and thO rOcurrOncO ratO was 24.00%. ThO rOcurrOncO ratO of thO obsOrvation group was significantly lowOr than that of thO control group (χ2 =25.634,P <0.05).Conclusion Lactobacillus vaginal capsulO in thO trOatmOnt of sOnilO vaginitis has curativO OffOct is distinct, thO rOcurrOncO ratO is low, also thO usO procOss is vOry simplO, has high clinical application valuO.
3.Clinical significance of platelet-leukocyte aggregates in patients with acute cerebral infarction

Objective To research the clinical significance of leukocyte-platelet aggregates(PLA)in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Methods Sixty-five patients with acute cerebral infarction and 24 controls.The levels of PLA,platelet-neutrophil aggregates(PNA),platelet-lymphocyte aggregates(PLyA)and platelet-monocyte aggregate(PMA)were analyzed by two-color flow cytometry,soluble P-selectin(sP-sel)was detected by ELISA,serum C-reaction protein(CRP)was detected by nephelometry and platelet aggregation rate(PAR)was measured by blood agglutination.Results There were no differences in the percentages of PLA,PNA and PLyA between patients(4.12?1.17%,4.09?1.27%,4.28?1.09%)and controls(4.10?0.99%,3.98?1.12%,4.01?1.98%).However,in the patients before treatment,the percentage of PMA(11.54?1.88%)was significantly increased compared with that after treatment(8.40?2.74%,P
4.N-acetylcysteine protects bone marrow stromal cells against the toxicity of 6-hydroxydopamine

BACKGROUND: 6-hydroxydopamine, as an endogenous toxic factor in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease, participates in oxidative stress. N-acetylcysteine resists oxidation and removes free radicals effectively.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the toxicity of 6-hydroxydopamine in bone marrow stromal cells and the antagonistic effect of N-acetylcysteine on it. METHODS: Bone marrow stromal cells of Sprague-Dawley rats were cultured in vitro. Bone marrow stromal cells of passage 3 were treated with 6-hydroxydopamine with the final concentrations of 0,0.05,0.1g/L and N-acetylcysteine with the final concentrations of 0, 0.075,0.3,1.2,4.8g/L, respectively.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: MTT assay showed that 6-hydroxydopamine (0.05 and 0.1 g/L) significantly decreased the viability of bone marrow stromal cells. This toxic effect of 6-hydroxydopamine was significantly inhibited by 0.3 g/L N-acetylcysteine. It suggests that antioxidant N-acetylcysteine may affect the toxic action of 6-hydroxydopamine.
5.The experimental research of nano-hydroxyapatite/polyamide 66/platelet-rich plasma compound repair of rabbit femoral bone defect

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of nano-hydroxyapatite/polyamide 66/platelet-rich plasma com-pound(n-HA/PA66/PRP)on the recovery of rabbit femur bone defect.Methods 40 New Zealand rabbits were artificially made to be bone defect by resecting the 1 cm substantia ossea with periosteum of femur,and were divided into two groups averagely depen-ding on implanted materials:experimental group(n-HA/PA66/PRP),control group (n-HA/PA66).Every five rabbits were sacri-ficed on week 2,4,8,12,and the femur healing status was observed by X ray,histology,and immunohistochemistry.Results No rabbit was infected or died,no implantation objects dropped.Gross observation,X-ray result and histology results demonstrated that the experimental group began to have a new bone tissue at 2 weeks after the operation,with the extension of time,the experimental group new bone growth speed and the quantity was better than the control group.The Lane-Sandhu method X-ray score showed that the experimental group (6.80±2.05)points and the control group(4.20±1.30)points at 12 weeks after the operation,and there were significant differences between two groups(P <0.05).Immunohistochemistry indicated that expression intensity of Vas-cular endothelial growth factor at 2 weeks and 4 weeks were significant differences between two groups(P <0.05),but there was no significant difference at 8 weeks and 12 weeks (P >0.05).Conclusion PRP combined with n-HA/PA66 artificial bone could accel-erate the healing of bone defect,and the effect of repair of bone defect is better than that of n-HA/PA66 artificial bone in the early.
6.Chronic colitis induced by irritant dextran sodium sulphate promote hepatoma development in mice

Objective To investigate the effect of gut bacteria under chronic colitis on the progression of hepatoma in mice.Methods 22 hepatitis B virus (HBV) -transgenic mice ( male, 8 weeks) were randomly divided into two groups, one group (n =10) was fed the drinking water containing 2% dextran sodium sulphate(DSS)to induce chronic colitis and the control group(n =12)was fed with normal drinking water.In order to investigate the effect of gut microbes, 7 male HBV-transgenic mice(8 weeks, with no detectable hepatoma under microscopy) were cohoused with 4 mice with hepatoma for 16 weeks.Results No significant liver cell damage was observed in the group of the mice fed with 2% DSS-containing drinking water.By the 22 -week old,9 of the 10 mice(90.0%) fed with 2% DSS-containing drinking water, 2 of the 12 mice(16.7%) fed with normal drinking had hepatoma.Both the hepatoma incidence and the tumor numbers in the group of mice fed with DSS-containing water were significantly higher than that in the controls (P =0.002 and P =0.028respetively).Compared to controls, the bacteria family Prevotella (P =0.022) and Anaeroplasma (P =0.014) reduced significantly in the mice with induced chronic colitis.All the mice (n =7) cohoused with the mice with hepatoma had the liver tumor developed at 24 -week-old.Conclusion Alterations of gut bacteria under chronic colitis may promote the development of liver cancer.
7.The diagnostic value of 3D-TOF-MRA in combination with 3D-FIESTA-C in preoperative evaluation of vascular compressive trigeminal neuralgia

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of three-dimensional time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography(3D-TOF-MRA)in combination with three-dimensional fast imaging employing steady-state acquisition with phase cycling (3D-FIESTA-C),using multiplanar reconstruction and image fusion technology in preoperative evaluation of vascular compressive trigeminal neuralgia (TN) and to improve the diagnostic accuracy.Methods 3D-TOF-MRA and 3D-FIESTA-C images using MPR and image fusion technology of 70 patients with TN confirmed by surgery were reviewed retrospectively,and compared with intraoperative findings separately and together.Results Microvascular decompression (MVD)surgery was performed in all 70 patients.Compared with surgical results, 3D-TOF-MRA showed presence of the offending vessel around the cisternal segment of trigeminal nerve in 55 cases with a positive rate of 79%.3D-FIESTA-C showed the presence of the offending vessel in 60 cases with a positive rate of 85%.65 cases were found when combining both 3D-TOF-MRA and 3D-FIESTA-C images,with a positive rate of 93%.No positive imaging findings were seen in 5 cases.Operation showed that offending vessels were small arteries in 3 cases and were petrosal veins in 2 cases.The main offending vessels were superior cerebellar artery and basilar artery.Conclusion Combining images of 3D-TOF-MRA and 3D-FIESTA-C using MPR and image fusion technology can show the relationship between offending vessels and the trigeminal nerve clearly in patients,and provide guidance for MVD surgery.There are still some deficiencies in the display of venules,and other sequences of MRI (such as CE-3D-FIESTA sequences)may be helpful.
8.Changes in cerebral CT perfusion after carotid endarterectomy

Objective To find the sensitive parameters for evaluating the cerebral CT perfusion changes in patients before and after carotid endarterectomy(CEA).Methods Between November 2015 and April 2017,the data of 27 patients who underwent CEA and conducted CT perfusion(CTP) examination before and after the operation were analyzed retrospectively.The different perfusion parameters of the cerebral hemisphere in different areas were analyzed before and after the operation.Absolute perfusion parameters include:cerebral blood volume (CBV), cerebral blood flow (CBF), mean transit time (MTT) and time to peak(TTP);relative perfusion parameters include:rCBV,rCBF,rMTT and rTTP;relative to brainstem perfusion parameters include:sCBV, sCBF, sMTT and sTTP.Paired sample t test (normal distribution of quantitative data) was used to analyze the parameters differences before and after the operation.Results The postoperative perfusion parameters of the operated side cerebral hemisphere compared with the preoperative:(1)The absolute perfusion parameters:the decreased of TTP in frontal lobe,anterior watershed region,middle cerebral artery territory and basal ganglia region[preoperative(22.4 ± 3.0)s,(23.0 ± 3.1)s, (23.2±2.2)s,(21.9±2.7)s,postoperative(20.1±2.4)s,(20.5±2.7)s,(20.7±2.8)s,(19.5±2.8)s]had statistical significance(t values were 2.437, 2.504, 2.882, 2.431, P<0.05).(2)The relative perfusion parameters:the decreased of rMTT in middle cerebral artery territory and basal ganglia region(preoperative 1.18±0.44,1.06± 0.22,postoperative 1.04±0.33,0.97±0.16)and the decreased of rTTP in middle cerebral artery territory and basal ganglia region(preoperative 1.07±0.15,1.04±0.05,postoperative 1.00±0.13,0.97±0.06)had statistical significance(t values were 2.235, 2.244, 2.245, 2.268, P<0.05).(3)The relative to brainstem perfusion parameters:the decreased of sCBV in middle cerebral artery territory(preoperative 1.08±0.16,postoperative 0.98 ± 0.15), the increased of sCBF in frontal lobe and middle cerebral artery territory(preoperative 1.07 ± 0.19, 1.00 ± 0.21,postoperative 1.17 ± 0.21, 1.09 ± 0.20),the decreased of sMTT in middle cerebral artery territory and basal ganglia region(preoperative 1.27±0.29,0.94±0.11,postoperative 1.05±0.05,0.86±0.10), the decreased sTTP in frontal lobe,anterior watershed region,middle cerebral artery territory and basal ganglia region(preoperative 1.05±0.05,1.07±0.06,1.10±0.08,1.02±0.03,postoperative 0.97±0.05,0.96± 0.06,0.98±0.07,0.95±0.01)had statistical significance(t values were 2.882,-2.995,-2.737,2.172,2.425, 2.249, 2.263, 2.806, 3.267, P<0.05). Conclusion CTP is significant to evaluate the changes of cerebral perfusion in patients who underwent CEA. The relative to brainstem parameters are more valuable than relative parameters and absolute parameters in judging the perfusion changes after CEA.
9. Primary prevention by hepatitis B vaccine on liver cancer in high incidence area of China

Objective:
Incidence of primary liver cancer (PLC) in China is mostly related to chronic infection of hepatitis B virus (HBV). Qidong was one of the endemic areas with high incidence of PLC in China before 2000. We conducted a series of studies regarding on PLC etiological prevention during the past decades to develop better primary prevention strategies for PLC.
Methods:
Qidong Hepatitis B Intervention Study was conducted in 1983-1990. A total of 41 182 newborns were randomly assigned to vaccination group and 40 211 (97.64%) of them completed the three-dose, 5 µg-plasma-derived hepatitis B (HB) vaccination series at age 0, 1, 6 month. Among them, 28 988 participants received one-dose 10 µg recombinant HB booster vaccination at age 10-14 years. A total of 41 730 newborns were randomly assigned to the control group. When they were at age 10-14 years, 23 368 participants received the catch-up vaccination with three-dose, 10 µg-recombinant HB vaccine. Two cross-sectional HBV serology surveys were conducted in 1996-2000 and 2008-2012. Information on PLC incidence and mortality of chronic liver diseases were collected through cancer registry and vital statistics until December 31, 2016. Objective To study the correlation between carotid bifurcation geometry and atherosclerotic plaque vulnerability using high-resolution magnetic resonance vessel wall imaging(HRMR-VWI),and to seek the potential predictor for vulnerable plaque for-mation.Methods The clinical information and imaging data of 104 patients with carotid bifurcation plaque detected by HRMR-VWI were analyzed retrospectively.Carotid bifurcation geometric parameters was measured to determine whether the carotid bifurcation plaque was vulnerable plaque,and they were divided into vulnerable plaque group(69 cases)and stable plaque group(35 cases).The difference of carotid bifurcation geometry of various groups was investigated,and the influence of common traditional risk factors to obtain independent risk factors was adjusted.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn.Results Among 104 carotid artery,vulnerable plaque group had larger bifurcation angle(54.00 vs 48.80,P<0.001),less luminal expansion(1.76 vs 1.94,P=0.002)and less outflow/inflow area ratio(0.79 vs 0.88,P<0.001)compared with stable plaque group.After adjusting,binary logistic regres-sion indicated that bifurcation angle[odds ratio(OR)1.132 per 10° increase;95%confidence interval(CI)1.044-1.225],luminal expan-sion(OR 0.084 per 1 increase;95%CI 0.014-0.492)and outflow/inflow area ratio(OR 0.357 per 0.01 increase;95%CI 0.177-0.723)were independent risk factors of vulnerable plaque formation.Bringing them into the final model,the area under the curve(AUC)was 0.878 above the basic model(AUC=0.664).Conclusion Bifur-cation angle,luminal expansion and outflow/inflow area ratio are independently associated with vulnerable plaque formation.Carotid bifurcation geometry have the certain predictive efficiency of vulnerable plaque formation and have the incremental diagnostic value to traditional risk factors,which are expected to be effective imaging makers for the formation of vulnerable plaque.
