Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury(IRI)is a critical problem of liver surgery,especially when comes to liver transplantation.Presently.there are no effective measures for diagnosis,prevention and therapy of IRI,as the mechanisms of IRI still remain unclear.This review summarizes several new hepatic ischemia-reperfusion markers related to cell signal transduetion pathway.including transcription factor STAT,HIF-1 and PPARs,transmission factor MAPK,membrane receptor TLR4 and PARs.and iNOS.Animal studies have indicated that IRI was ameliorated by activating or blockading these markers,which might serve as targets for diagnosis,prevention and therapy of IRI.

Objective To discuss the effect of human-centered nursing technical operation training.Methods All of the the nursing staffs in the hospital were trained using user-friendly nursing technical operation training program,and the evaluation of the work of nursing staffs was conducted before,and after the training,and the effect of training was explored by a comparison of the nursing operation.Results After the training,the operation performance of nursing staffs is better than that before the training obviously.There was a statistically significant difference(P ＜ 0.01). Patients are more satisfactory with the nursing staffs' operation than before obviously.There was a statistically significant difference(P ＜0.05).Conclusions User-friendly nursing technical operation training is benificial to improving the nursing staffs' skills and enhancing the harmony,of relations between nursers and patients.

Pure culture of Phlebopus portentosus was inoculated in the roots of coffee tree. The results indi-cated that the young fruit bodies would come out around the rhizomes of host tree after inoculation in 30 to 90 days, single or cluster, 3 to 4 days for mature, weight 20.0 g to 62.0 g. Brown rhizomorph and hyphae can be seen on the seedlings`rhizome, main root and side root while nothing is on the tip of the root.It was found that rhizomorph on the surface of roots would die after inoculation in 90 days in pot.

Photothermal therapy (PTT) is a highly effective anti-tumor method. However, when laser radiation was used to ablate tumors, it usually triggers a series of inflammatory reactions, promoting the further development of tumors and affecting the effect of anti-tumor therapy. Therefore, it is an effective method to improve the anti-tumor effect by suppressing the inflammatory response through the precise targeted delivery of anti-inflammatory drug while realizing the photothermal treatment of tumors. To this end, the redox-responsive linker 3,3'-dithiodipropionic acid was used to bond the classic hydrophobic anti-inflammatory drug 18β-glycyrrhetinic acid (18β-GA) and the hydrophilic fragment methoxy-polyethylene glycol (mPEG-NH₂) to obtain redox-responsive amphiphilic polymer PEG-DA-GA in this study. Then, photothermal agent IR-780 was encapsulated to prepare redox-responsive polymer micelle PDG/IR-780 NPs. The PDG/IR-780 NPs exhibited uniform particle size of 80.2 ± 5.3 nm and the polydispersity index (PDI) was 0.215 ± 0.079. All animal experiments followed the ethical requirements formulated by the Ethics Committee of Sichuan University. The results showed that PDG/IR-780 NPs could respond to the abundant glutathione (GSH) in tumor cells to promote the disintegration of nanoparticle and the release of 18β-GA, thus significantly improved the killing efficiency on 4T1 cells, when compared with the non-redox-responsive control PSG/IR-780 NPs. When the concentration of 18β-GA was 50 μg·mL^-1, the cell viability of 4T1 cells in the PDG/IR-780 NPs group was only (19.29 ± 1.80) %, which was significantly lower than the result of in PSG/IR-780 NPs group (29.30 ± 1.37) %. The results of frozen sections of tumor tissues showed that the designed PDG NPs can promote the tumor-targeted distribution of drugs compared with the free drug group. Eventually, PDG/IR-780 NPs achieved wonderful anti-tumor efficacy on 4T1 triple-negative breast cancer model, revealing the new possibility of the combined therapy strategy of photothermal and anti-inflammatory therapy.

Objective To investigate the effects of early rehabilitative training program on patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods One hundred and twenty-two patients with AMI were randomly divided into early rehabilitation group(n=62)and control group(n=60).In addition to routine treatment,patients in rehabilitation group received early rehabilitative training mainly by walking exercise for two weeks.Results There were no significant differences in ventricular arrhythmia(Lown≥Ⅲ), extension of infarction and heart rate variability(HRV)between the two groups(P＞0.05).Forty of 62 patients(64.5%)in rehabilitation group had their left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)more than or equal to 50% in the 3~(rd)～4~(th)week after admission,significantly higher than that in control group(45.0%, 27/60 ;P＜0.01 ).By the end of the 4~(th)week after admission,25.8% of the patients in rehabilitation group showed positive in treadmill test,significantly lower than that in control group(38.3%,P＜0.01). Occurrence of angina pectoris and reinfarction and fatality in rehabilitation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P＜0.05)during their hospitalization and follow-up period.Patients in rehabilitation group stayed at hospital for(16?3)days in average,significantly less than that in control group[(27?4) days],with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion Early rehabilitative training for patients with uncomplicated AMI is not only safe and feasible,but also useful in improvement for their prognosis and quality of life.

Objective To prepare specific polyclonal antibodies to outer membrane protein (Opr) D_2 of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA),and explore the relationship between loss of OprD_2 and imipenem resistance.Methods The genomic DNA of PA was ex- tracted with phenol:chloroform.OprD_2 coding gene was amplified by PCR and prokaryotic expression vector pRSET-OprD_2 was constructed.OprD_2 protein was expressed by IPTG induction in E.coli BL21(DE3),and purified with SDS-PAGE.The new protein band was recovered and used as antigens to subcutaneously immunize two New Zealand rabbits to prepare poly- clonal antibody.The specificity of the antibody was determined by Western blot.The expression of OprD_2 in 32 clinical isolates of PA was detected with the prepared polyclonal antibody by Western blot.Results The vector pRSET-OprD_2 has been success- fully expressed in E.coli BL21 (DE3).The polyclonal anti-OprD_2 antibody with high specificity has been successfully pre- pared.Present results show that of the 27 imipenem-resistant PA clinical isolates,OprD2 protein was low-expressed in 5 iso- lates (18.5%) and normally expressed in 2 isolates (7.4%) but not expressed in 20 isolates (74.1%).Conclusions The loss or low-expression of OprD_2 is one of the essential mechanisms accounting for imipenem resistance in clinical isolates of PA.

Potential growth of two widely-grown hybrid rice varieties in the Jinhua district of Zhejiang Province, Shanyou63 for mid-rice and Xieyou46 for late rice, was simulated using a crop growth model of WOFOST. Parameters of the rice growth in WOFOST were calibrated through field experiments from 1999 to 2002 in Jinhua. The potential yield simulated with WOFOST was about 12 t/ha for Shanyou63 and 10 t/ha for Xieyou46, which are in good agreement with the highest recorded yield obtained in this area. Under farmers practice, current yield is about 7.5 t/ha for Shanyou63 and 6.5 t/ha for Xieyou46. There is a gap between the actual rice yield and the potential yield for these two hybrid rice varieties grown in this area. The attainable target yields were set to 70% to 75% of their potential yields for the two varieties. A recently developed software "Nutrient Decision Support System (NuDSS)" for irrigated rice was used to optimize nutrient management for these two rice varieties. According to NuDSS, the optimal fertilizer N requirement for the target yields was about 150 kg/ha for Shanyou63 and about 120 kg/ha for Xieyou46, which were only about 70% of the fertilizer N application under current farmers' practice. Comparing with farmers' practice, there is great potential to increase actual rice yields and to reduce fertilizer N use rates by improving rice crop management practice in Jinhua.

In order to develop recombinant porcine Interferon-gamma (rPoIFN-gamma) to prevent porcine viral infection, PoIFN-gamma cDNA lacking the signal peptide was expressed in Pichia pastoris GS115 strain, and the effect of rPoIFN-gamma on porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) was investigated. The PoIFN-gamma gene was inserted into integrative vector pHIL-S1, and the recombinant GS115 strain (pHIL-S1/PoIFN-gamma) was constructed by homologues recombinant. The rPoIFN-gamma protein was 18 kD with an expressing yield of 18% was assayed by SDS-PAGE and Western blot, respectively. The anti-viral activity of rPoIFN-gamma was in the range of 450-540 u/mL. In addition, the effect of rPoIFN-gamma ant-PRRSV was determined using CPE50 method. The results indicated that high concentration of rPoIFN-gamma could inhibit PRRSV on Marc-145 cell line. The rPoIFN-gamma is a potential drug for prevention and treatment of various kinds of viral pig diseases.

OBJECTIVETo study the clinical effectiveness and safety of nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) in the initial treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS) and the initial setting of NIPPV parameters.

METHODSOne hundred neonates with NRDS were divided into NIPPV group (n=50) and nasal continuous positive airway pressure (NCPAP) group (n=50). A randomized controlled study was conducted to compare the effectiveness of NIPPV versus NCPAP in the initial treatment of NRDS from the following aspects: reducing CO2 retention, improving oxygenation, reducing second endotracheal intubation and second use of pulmonary surfactant (PS), reducing the duration of invasive respiratory support, reducing the duration of oxygen use, and reducing the incidence of air leak, abdominal distension and ventilator-associated pneumonia.

RESULTSAfter 1 and 6 hours of noninvasive respiratory support, the NIPPV group was superior to the NCPAP group with respect to the reduction in CO2 retention and improvement in oxygenation (P<0.05); in addition, compared with the NCPAP group, the NIPPV group had significantly lower rates of second endotracheal intubation and second PS use, significantly shorter duration of invasive respiratory support and time of FiO2 >0.21, and significantly lower incidence of apnea and ventilator-associated pneumonia (P<0.05); there were no significant differences in the incidence of air leak and abdominal distention between the two groups.

CONCLUSIONSNIPPV is effective and safe in the initial treatment of NRDS and holds promise for clinical application.
