ObjectiveTo investigate sleep disorder of patients with depression and find out the regularity.Methods78 depression cases in the east-region of Shenyang were evaluated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire and mental health symptom checklist-90 (SCL-90). The results were contrasted with normal control group.Results63 depression cases (80%) had sleep disorder (PSQI scores≥8) and were significantly higher than normal control group. The PSQI evaluation showed that sleep quality, enter-sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorder, hypnotige drugs, function of daytime and total scores of PSQI of the depression group were significantly higher than that of normal control group (P<0.05～0.01). The SCL-90 test showed that scores of somatic, obsessive, depressive, anxiety, phobia, paranoid and mental-illness, etc. and total quota of bad-sleep quality group were significantly higher than that of the fine-sleep quality group (P<0.05～0.01).ConclusionDepression patients have significantly descent in sleep quality, latter is often closely related to the mental psychotic expressiveness of somatic, obsession, depression, anxiety, phobia, etc.

BackgroundOur previous study determined that tetrandrine (Tet) has an inhibitory effect on the proliferation of human Tenon capsule fibroblasts ( TCFs ) in vitro,but its mechanism is poorly understood.ObjectiveThis study was to investigate the effect mechanism of Tet on human TCFs.MethodsHuman TCFs were isolated and cultured from scleral tissue of donor using explant technique.The cells were identified by vimentin antibody staining and morphology.The third generation of cells were seeded in the culture plate at the density of 1 × 105 cells/ml.Twenty-four hours after inoculation,the Tet of 1 × 10-5 mol/L was added in the well of culture plate,and the cells cultured only in 1640 medium served as the control group.The apoptosis of the cells was assessed by TUNEL,and the expressions of bax,bel-2,transforming growth factor-β2 (TGF-β2 ) in TCFs were detected using immunochemistry.Results The cultured cells showed the features of the fibroblasts in shape with the positive response for vimentin.A number of TUNEL positive cells were seen in Tet group and no TUNEL positive response was found in control group.The expression levels (A value) of bax,bcl-2 and TGF-~ protein in TCFs were 0.577 ± 0.009,0.430±0.012 and 0.341 ±0.017 in Tet group,and those in control group were 0.320±0.015,0.819±0.021 and 0.624±0.014 respectively,showing statistically significant differences between two groups( t =33.277,-35.356,-28.093,P＜0.01 ).Conclusions Tet suppresses the proliferation of human TCFs through up-regulating the expression of bax and down-regulating the expressions of bcl-2 and TGF-β2 in vitro.

Objective To investigate the frequency of NPM1 mutation and its clinical significance in patients with cytogenetically normal acute myeloid leukemia (CN-AML). Methods The data of 190 patients with CN-AML were collected from Department of Hematology, Tongji Hospital between January 2008 and June 2015, and the discrepancies in clinical features and efficacy between CN-AML patients with NPM1 mutation and those without NPM1 mutation were also analyzed. Results Among the 190 CN-AML patients, NPM1 mutation was found in 44 patients (23.16 %). The proportion of bone marrow blast cells and the count of peripheral white blood cells in patients with NPM1 mutation were higher than those in patients without NPM1 mutation (75.82 % vs. 63.87 % , P <0.05; 75.7 ×109/L vs. 60.0 ×109/L, P <0.05). The rate of response (complete remission + partial remission) in patients with NPM1 mutation was also higher than that in patients without NPM1 mutation [70.09 %(22/31) vs. 56.91 %(45/79), P<0.05) ]. Conclusion NPM1 mutation is associated with higher tumor burden and higher remission rate in CN-AML patients.

AIM: To assess the impact of diabetes on corneal endothelial cells through the quantitative analysis of corneal endothelial cell morphology for patients with diabetics.
METHODS: The corneal thickness and endothelial cell morphology of 360 eyes of 299 cases were detected using full automatic corneal endothelial cell analyzer. The normal control group included 175 eyes of 148 cases, and there were 185 eyes of 151 cases for the patients with diabetes, 110 eyes of 92 cases for the non-proliferating phase group and 75 eyes of 59 cases for the proliferating phase group. The average density of central corneal endothelial cells, proportion of hexagonal cells, coefficient of variation and corneal thickness were compared among groups, and then the statistical analysis was conducted.
RESULTS: Compared with the cornea of the normal group, in the diabetes group, the coefficient of variation of corneal endothelial cells and central corneal thickness increased, while the average density of central corneal endothelial cells and proportion of hexagonal cells decreased, showing a significant difference (P<0. 05). Compared with the cornea of non-proliferating phase group, in the proliferating phase group, the density of central corneal endothelial cells decreased, the coefficient of variation of corneal endothelial cells increased, while the proportion of hexagonal cells decreased with a significant difference (P<0. 05), and the central corneal thickness increased, showing no significant difference(P>0. 05).
CONCLUSION: Compared with the cornea of normal control group, in the diabetes group, the corneal endothelial cells show abnormal morphology, which aggravates with the severity of lesions, especially for the significant changes in the coefficient of variation and the proportion of hexagonal cells. As a result, the corneal resistance to damage in patients with diabetes will decrease.

Objective To observe the influence of early motor cardiac rehabilitation on the life quality of acute myocardial infarction patients. Methods 30 acute myocardial infarction patients underwent percutaneous transluminal coronary intervention (PCI) were randomly divided into rehabilitative group and control group which consist of 15 patients. The rehabilitative group received the individual sports programme and health education in addition to conventional treatment and nursing. The control group was just treated by traditional way. Barthel index was used to evaluate the self-care ability and life quality. Results The rehabilitative group had significantly higher self-care ability compared with control group after 30 days' treatment[(85.48 ±6.77)points vs (69.35 ±6.46)points] (P＜0.05).The rehabilitative group could care by themselves and carry on the light physical activity. In addition, heart rehabilitatione frequency was the favorable factor for improving the life quality of acute myocardial infarction patients.Conclusion Early motor cardiac rehabilitation could effectively improve the life quality of acute myocardial infarction patients which had a wide clinical application.
