Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 2003;0(06):-
Objective To study the advantage and disadvantage of two types of rat heart trans- plantation models. Methods Twenty Wistar rats served as donors and 20 SD rats as recipients ran- domly in two groups.Abdominal working and nonworking cardiac transplantation models from Wistar to SD rats were established. In the working model, the donors pulmonary artery was anastomosed to the left atrial appendage. The left ventricle ejected volume through an end to side anastomosis of the donor's aorta to the recipient's abdominal aorta. In the nonworking cardiac transplantation model, the donor's pulmonary artery was anastomosed to the recipient's inferior vena cava and the donor aorta was anastomosed to the recipient aorta. Results Working model and nonworking model were successfully established. The survival rate of both models was 90 %.Total operating time of the working model was 10 min shorter than the nonworking model.Postoperative UCG demonstrated the working trans- planted hearts had ejection. Conclusions Rat abdominal working cardiac transplantation model was used perfectly with high rate of survival and shorter total operating time. The working model approached cardiac physiological functions more than the nonworking model.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(2):338-342
Though parched Chinese herbal medicines contain less effective or index components, their pharmacological actions do not reduce or even become improved to some extent. However, the current studies related to material basis could not explain the changes in property, flavour and efficacy of parched Chinese herbal medicines. Meanwhile, due to the lack of objective and specific evaluation indexes, the quality evaluation could not reflect features of parched Chinese herbal pieces. Therefore, how to break the bottleneck for the studies on parched Chinese herbal pieces, make further innovation and conduct in-depth studies on the material basis of parched Chinese herbal medicines are common problems that medical scholars are facing. According to the findings in the previous studies, the author proposed to explain the material basis of parched Chinese herbal medicines by studying Maillard reaction and establish specific quality evaluation indexes according to the features of parched Chinese herbal pieces, and conducted relevant studies.

Objectives To analyze the diagnosis and management of steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome (SRNS) accompanied with irreversible leukoencephalopathy in children. Methods The clinical, laboratory and imaging data were retrospectively analyzed in a SRNS child accompanied with irreversible leukoencephalopathy. A literature review was performed. Results After clinical diagnosis of SRNS, glucocorticoid, immunosuppressant, and hemodialysis were administrated for 10 months. During the course of treatment, the seizures, visual problems, and hypertension were repeatedly occured. The cranial MRI showed bilateral occipital parietal lobe hyperintensity and right frontotemporal lobe hyperintensity on T2-weighted imaging and bilateral occipital parietal lobe hypointensity on T2-Flair imaging, which indicated that encephalomalacia was accompanied with gliosis. Conclusions A variety of reasons may induce leukoencephalopathy in children. The accompanied irreversible leu-koencephalopathy should be strongly considered in management of SRNS.

A high performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) method was developed for determining degradation dynamics and final residues of myclobutanil 25% WG in ginseng root, stem, leaf and soil. The samples were extracted with acetonitrile, cleaned-up with primary secondary amine (PSA) solid phase extraction cartridge, separated by Kromasil Eternity-5-C18 (2.1 mm x 150 mm, 5 microm) column with a gradient of acetonitrile and 0.1% formate in water as mobile phases, and analyzed with the multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) in positive ion mode by employing the external standard method. The average recoveries and the relative standard derivations (RSDs) of myclobutanil at the spiked level of 0.01-0.20 mg x kg(-1) were 80.9%-90.7% and 5.54%-9.29%, respectively, and the limit of quantification (LOQ) was 0.005 mg x kg(-1). The method with good reproducible, high precision and low detection limit could meet the requirements of residual analysis on ginseng production. The half-lives of myclobutanil were from 6.25 days to 9.94 days in ginseng root, stem, leaf and soil at spraying dosage of 1 152 g x hm(-2) The final residues were below 0.060 1 mg x kg(-1) in root, below 0.081 7 mg x kg(-1) in stem, 0.006 0-0.102 2 mg x kg(-1) in leaf and below 0.037 6 mg x kg(-1) in soil at spraying dosage range from 576 to 1 152 g x hm(-2). It is recommended that the MRLs of myclobutanil in dried ginseng may be suggested to be 0.10 mg x kg(-1) temporarily, and the preharvest interval was set at 35 days.
