OBJECTIVEThe three-dimensional (3D) craniofacial measurements were studied through the quantitative computed tomography (CT). The dynamic database of quantitative measurement of three-dimensional craniofacial bone was established as mandible in physiological position.
METHODS170 aesthetics female were examined by spiral volumetric CT (GE SR-7000). 3D craniofacial bone images were reformatted and 3D measurements were performed in SUN Workstation respectively. 33 points were defined in the 3-d craniofacial structure in screen, 14 distances and 11 angles were measured, and 12 ratios were calculated in each case. All data were transferred into the database based on the SPSS software. There is all information of one case (such as number, sex, age, distances, angers) in one row; each column is a measurement item. The mean, standard deviation, standard error, medium, coefficient of variation and 95% confidence interval of data can be calculated and the correlation, regression between several groups of measurement item can be proceeded by computer automatically in the dynamic database.
RESULTS3D craniofacial bone imagings were displayed in arbitrary views without disturbing superposition by using cutting, rotating and 3D measurement procedures. The large data volume provides more information of special relationship of skull base, zygomatic bone, maxilla, mandible and vertebra. The coefficient of variation of skull base is less than them of maxilla and mandible. The standard deviation of ratios is further smaller than the standard deviation of distances and angles. With stepwise regression, the equation is (Go - Go) Y = 0.578X1 + 0.754X2 + 0.228X3 - 0.579X4 - 14.672; (Tz- Tz) : Y = 0.775X1 + 0.161X2 + 0.348X3 + 0.201X4 + 27.730.
CONCLUSIONSThe database offers reference of the studying of growth rule of craniofacial bone of aesthetics female. It will help improve diagnostic accuracy, staging of reconstruction, precision of corrective surgery, and follow-up patients.

Chinese Medical Journal 2016;129(1):39-47
BACKGROUNDLaparoscopic liver resection (LLR) has been considered to be safe and feasible. However, few studies focused on the comparison between the anatomic and nonanatomic LLR. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare the perioperative factors and outcomes of the anatomic and nonanatomic LLR, especially the area of liver parenchymal transection and blood loss per unit area.
METHODSIn this study, surgical and oncological data of patients underwent pure LLR procedures for malignant liver tumor were prospectively collected. Blood loss per unit area of liver parenchymal transection was measured and considered as an important parameter. All procedures were conducted by a single surgeon.
RESULTSDuring nearly 5 years, 84 patients with malignant liver tumor received a pure LLR procedure were included. Among them, 34 patients received anatomic LLR and 50 received nonanatomic LLR, respectively. Patients of the two groups were similar in terms of demographic features and tumor characteristics, despite the tumor size was significantly larger in the anatomic LLR group than that in the nonanatomic LLR group (4.77 ± 2.57 vs. 2.87 ± 2.10 cm, P = 0.001). Patients who underwent anatomic resection had longer operation time (364.09 ± 131.22 vs. 252.00 ± 135.21 min, P < 0.001) but less blood loss per unit area (7.85 ± 7.17 vs. 14.17 ± 10.43 ml/cm 2 , P = 0.018). Nonanatomic LLR was associated with more blood loss when the area of parenchymal transection was equal to the anatomic LLR. No mortality occurred during the hospital stay and 30 days after the operation. Moreover, there was no difference in the incidence of postoperative complications. The disease-free and overall survival rates showed no significant differences between the anatomic LLR and nonanatomic LLR groups.
CONCLUSIONSBoth anatomic and nonanatomic pure LLR are safe and feasible. Measuring the area of parenchymal transection is a simple and effective method to estimate the outcomes of the liver resection surgery. Blood loss per unit area is an important parameter which is comparable between the anatomic LLR and nonanatomic LLR groups.

Objective To understand female outpatients' recognition towards cervical cancer screening and their related attitudes and behaviors so as to provide theoretical basis for nursing intervention aimed at improving the rate of cervical cancer screening. Methods 1116 female outpatients at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center were investigated with random sampling method by using a questionnaire of cervical cancer screening knowledge and related attitudes and behaviors. Results The cognitive aspects of cervical cancer screening rates were different among different ages, cultures, incorne women, differences were statistically significant(χ2=42.377,138.7,32.519,P<0.01).This study demonstrated patients with high-level education and good economic situation knew more about cervical cancer screening. Most of them (76.3%) approved the view of "Early detection of cervical cancer could improve survival". But only 47.5% patients approved "Screening could detect the cervical cancer early", and 45.3% patients were willing to accept the cervical cancer screening. 43.8% patients had received the cervical cancer screening, and only 4.9% patients received the screening annually. The cervical cancer screening rates were different ages, cultures, income women, differences were statistically significant(χ2=16.155,9.052,28.801,P<0.01).Conclusions Outpatients' knowledge about the cervical cancer screening is insufficient, patients with low-level education and poor economic situation know less about cervical cancer screening and the rate of their accepted cervical cancer screening is low. Nursing staff should help them establish a positive attitude, improve their cognition towards cervical cancer screening, and take different methods to provide health education of cervical cancer screening based on their actual conditions so as to improve the low rate of cervical cancer screening.

OBJECTIVETo set up the drug lymphocyte stimulation test (DLST), as a diagnosis means for DILI which was immunity idiosyncrasy, improve the Diagnosis, level of DILI.
METHODFor the 59 patients who diagnosed as DILI, we separated their PBMC, exploring to the suspicious drug which caused DILI, then use the methods 3H-TdR to test, according to the mixed degree to clear the PBMC count which specific activated by drug.We also set up drug group, negative control and Positive control at the same time. Preliminary experiments was including the best dose of PHA and the best concentration of the drug. We set up 40 healthy group in our experiments as a control, and explore them on the same drug every time. We test the two groups at the same time. We handled the results use t-test.
RESULTSThe methods 3H-TdR could be exactly reflect the PBMC's proliferation degree nearly the same when they were be stimulation by PHA or the sensitive drug. When the DILI patients were explore to the suspicious drug, their stimulation index (SI) Obviously higher than 1.8. Form this test, there were 28 in 59 patients of DILI's group were positive (47.46%), SI was from 1.9 to 43.08, the average was 22.49, the healthy group SI was lower than 1.8, the SI of DILI's group was significantly higher than healthy group (5.78+/-0.75/1.16+/-0.25, P less than 0.05). Our test suggested DLST has Higher specificity (94.92%) and sensitivity (47.46%).
CONCLUSIONDLST was significance for the patients who diagnosed as immunity idiosyncrasy's DILI, it's reflected these patients' Proliferation of PBMC when explored to the suspicious drug for the second time.

BACKGROUNDIt is well known that dehydration can impair bodily functions. To evaluate the impact of hydration status under ambient environmental temperature on the immune system, 25 male collegiate wrestlers were recruited to undergo an experimental dehydration program.
METHODSThirteen subjects had controlled diets with individual energy requirements to prevent body mass loss and restricted water intake to cause 4.52% dehydration; they formed the dehydrated group (DE). These subjects developed a urine specific gravity of about 1.030 in 84 hours. Twelve other subjects had no water restriction and maintained their total body weight comprised the euhydrated group (EU). Peripheral blood monocytes (PBMNC) were isolated after dehydration to perform immune response testing by being incubated with a polysaccharide fraction from fu-ling, Poria cocos (polysaccharide fraction from Poria cocos, PCPS, 1 - 30 £g/L), to prepare a conditioned medium termed conditioned medium of PBMNC stimulated by PCPS (PCPS-MNC-CM). More PCPS (25 µg/L) was needed in the DE group to prepare the PCPS-MNC-CM, which was assayed with a growth inhibitory curve for treated U973 cells.
RESULTSThe treated U937 cells, incubated together with PCPS-MNC-CM from the DE group, exhibited a much lower nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) positive value of (63.7 ± 4.7)%. The concentration of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), interleukin (IL)-1β and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α in PCPS-MNC-CM from subjects after dehydration was much lower than in the CM from the EU group.
CONCLUSIONThe immune response to PCPS in the DE group was lower than in normally hydrated subjects.

The aim of study was to investigate the killing effect of double suicide gene system mediated by retroviral vector on K562 cells in vivo and ex vivo. CDglyTK gene was transfected into PA317 cells by using lipofectamine. K562 cells were infected with viral supernatant. K562/CDglyTK cells were treated with 5-fluorocytosine (5-FC) and/or ganciclovir (GCV). Mice were randomly divided into three groups: tumor formation, tumor inhibition and tumor therapy. Each mouse was implanted with K562/CDglyTK cells or K562 cells. The results indicated that the killing effect of 5-FC in combination with GCV on K562/CDglyTK was more significant than using 5-FC or GCV alone. In vivo study showed that after being injected subcutaneously with K562 cells and K562/CDglyTK cells, there was not obvious difference in tumor formation rate of mice, 5-FC + GCV could suppress tumor formation of the K562/CDglyTK cells. After being treated with 5-FC and GCV, the median tumor volume of mice implanted with K562/CDglyTK cells decreased obviously, compared with the control group. Their median survival was significantly prolonged. It is concluded that double suicide genes are more effective for killing effect on K562 cells in vivo and in ex vivo. It may be applicable to clinical gene therapy.

OBJECTIVETo study the clinicopathologic and immunohistochemical features, biological behavior, diagnosis and treatment of solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas (SPTP).
METHODSA retrospective clinical and clinicopathologic analysis was made on 33 cases of SPTP admitted from May 2001 to 2010 July. There were 7 male and 26 female patients, aging from 13 to 66 years with a mean of 34.3 years.
RESULTSThe tumor was located in pancreatic head of 10 patients, in pancreatic neck of 5 patients, in pancreatic body and tail of 18 patients. Of the 33 patients treated with surgery, 8 underwent simple resection of pancreatic tumor, 6 underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy, 3 underwent tumor resection plus pancreaticojejunostomy, 1 underwent tumor resection plus pancreaticogastrostomy, 11 underwent distal pancreatectomy, 4 underwent distal pancreatectomy plus spleen resection (1 underwent mesohepatectomy for hepatic metastasis). Sixteen of the 33 operations were completed by laparoscopy. Histologically, tumors were composed of papillary and microcystic solid structures, with uniformed population of cells. The pancreas and blood vessels invasion were identified in 3 cases, one of them was combined with liver metastasis, and they are male. Immunohistologically, the tumors were positive for α1-antitrypsin, α1-antichymotrypsin, β-catenin, CD10, CD56 and vimentin (all cases), neuron-specific enolase (3 cases), synaptophysin (6 cases), chromogranin A (4 cases), progesterone receptor (28 cases), estrogen receptor (3 cases), S-100 (6 cases). Totally 33 cases were followed up with a median period of 49 months without tumor recurrence.
CONCLUSIONSSPTP is of low graded malignancy. It primarily affects young women. It may be located in any part of pancreas. Immunohistochemistry is very important for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of SPTP. Surgical resection is recommended as the treatment of choice. Laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy or tumor resection is feasible and safe for some selected patients, and the prognosis is good.
