Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2013;48(10):788-792
OBJECTIVE: To study the protective effect of U83836E (lazaroids) on ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) in isolated rat heart. METHODS: The isolated rat heart models of IRI were developed by linking the isolated rat heart to Langendorff perfusion system. U83836E was injected in different time, the rat heart function of ischemia-reperfusion was observed. Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and the cardiac treponin(cTnT) content in the outflow of coronary artery, and heat shock protein70 (HSP70) of myocardial tissue were measured. RESULTS: Compared with model group of ischemia-reperfusion, in the presence of U83836E, left ventricuIar systolic pressure(LVSP), the maximum rise rate of left ventricular pressure(+dp/dtmax) were increased (P<0.01), left ventricular end diastolic pressure(LVEDP)was depressed(P<0.05), the maximum fall rate left of ventricular pressure (-dp/dtmax) was accelerated (P<0.01). The content of LDH and cTnT in effluent samples of U83836E group(A group or B group) were lower than that in model group(P<0.01), the expression of HSP70 in myocardial tissue was increased(P<0.01). CONCLUSION: U83836E has protective effect on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in isolated rat heart.

Cheng and Church algorithm is an important approach in biclustering algorithms. In this paper, the process of the extended space in the second stage of Cheng and Church algorithm is improved and the selections of two important parameters are discussed. The results of the improved algorithm used in the gene expression spectrum analysis show that, compared with Cheng and Church algorithm, the quality of clustering results is enhanced obviously, the mining expression models are better, and the data possess a strong consistency with fluctuation on the condition while the computational time does not increase significantly.

In this study, 31 Notopterygium incisum populations were analyzed using ITS sequences to investigate the genetic structure. The results showed that: the ITS region ranged in size from 634 to 635 bp and base composition was with high G + C content of 57.8%. Thirty-one polymorphic sites were detected from 402 sequences of 31 populations of N. incisum, and the proportion of polymorphic sites was 4.88%, in which parsimony informative sites were up to 12. And 31 haplotypes were identified based on these polymorphic sites. Molecular variance analysis (AMOVA) indicated that high genetic differentiation (57%) existed among population, and gene flow was low (N(m) = 0.38) among populations. Phylogenetic relationships of 31 haplotypes were analyzed using NJ method with N. forbesiias an out-group. Phylogenetic analysis showed that 31 haplotypes from different populations mixed together and did not form distinct geographically separated clades.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(04):-
AIM: To investigate serum vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) level in patients with bladder transitional cell carcinoma(BTCC) and its clinical significance. METHODS: ELISA method was used to examine the serum VEGF level in 42 cases of bladder transitional cell carcinoma and in 10 cases of normal people as control. The change of VEGF in blood of the pre-operation and post-operation patients with BTCC was also compared. RESULTS: The VEGF level in blood of the patients was higher than that of the normal people, in spite of pre-operation, post-chemotherapy, and post-operation, but VEGF level decreased obviously after chemotherapy or operation. In addition, the plasma VEGF level was related to the grade and invasion of tumor. CONCLUSION: Detecting serum VEGF level can help us to assess the change of tumor and therapeutic effect.
10. Treatment of pediatric malnutrition by acupuncture of Sifeng (EX-UE10) combined with oral administration of Wang's Baochi Pill
Acupuncture Research 2019;44(6):451-453
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical effect of acupuncture at Sifeng (EX-UE10) combined with Wang's Baochi Pills in the treatment of pediatric malnutrition, so as to provide a more effective method for pediatric malnutrition. METHODS: A total of 201 children with malnutrition were randomly divided into combined treatment group (n=102) and control (Baochi Pill) group (n=99). The children in the combined treatment group were treated by acupuncture stimulation of Sifeng (EX-UE10, till no more yellowish-white effusion out) and oral administration of Wang's Baochi Pills, and those in the control group treated by oral administration of Wang's Baochi Pills only. The course of treatment was one month for both groups. The integral score of symptom was assessed according to the main symptoms as body weight and height and food-intake, and to the secondary symptoms including mentality, agitation, sleep, hair gloss, susceptibility to cold, hydrosis, abdominal distension, and susceptibility to diarrhea or constipation. The therapeutic effect was assessed by consulting the "Criteria for Diagnosis and Therapeutic Effect Evaluation of Syndromes/Illnesses of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)" and "TCM Professional Criteria of the People's Republic of China for Diagnosis and Therapeutic Effect Evaluation of Syndromes/Diseases of TCM Pediatric". RESULTS: After the treatment, the total symptom scores of both groups were significantly decreased in comparison with their own pre-treatment (P<0.05), and the scores of total symptom after the treatment and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd follow-up surveys were obviously lower in the combined treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Of the 99 and 102 cases in the control and combined treatment groups, 47 and 59 were cured, 39 and 37 experienced improvement in their symptoms, and 13 and 6 failed, with the effective rate being 86.87% (86/99) and 94.11%(96/102), respectively. The effective rate of the combined treatment was evidently higher than that of the simple medication (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Acupuncture of Sifeng (EX-UE10) combined with Wang's Baochi Pills is better than administration of Wang's Baochi Pills alone in the therapeutic effect for pediatric malnutrition.
