Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),one of the most common malignant tumors,is the main cause of cancer death in China.Early diagnosis of the disease is of great importance.Serum tumor markers have been effective for detecting HCC for a long time.Among those markers,alpha fetoprotein(AFP)is the most widely used one in detecting patients with HCC,but it has limited utility for detecting HCC due to its limited sensitivity and specificity.Searching better markers for HCC has been a re- search focus in recent years.This review introduces many useful markers to supplement AFP for detecting HCC.

AIM:To disscus the clinical effect of the silicone tube implantation under the guidance of memory wire in the treatment of lacrimal canaliculus.
METHODS:One hundred and fifteen cases (115 eyes ) of traumatic canalicular laceration were treated by canaliculoplasty from September 2012 to June 2014. Finding the end of lacrimal canaliculus under microscope, guided by memory wire which was probed in lacrimal passage to the nasal cavity, intubating double-passage silicone tube as a support and end-to-end anastomosis. The condition of epiphora and irrigation of lacrimal passage were observed after extubation.
RESULTS: All 115 cases were experienced successful operation. All patients were followed up for 6mo ~ 1a (mean 9. 3mo) after extubation. Lacrimal passage was unobstructed in 96 cases 96 eyes(83. 5%), stricture in 13 cases 13 eyes (11. 3%), and blocked in 6 cases 6 eyes (5. 2%).
CONCLUSION:Double-passage silicone tube guided by memory wire may be an optional technique in the treatment of traumatic lacrimal duct laceration, which is a feasible, minimally - invasive, safe and effective method.

[ ABSTRACT] AIM: To study the autophagy of prostate cancer PC-3 cells induced by CD147 in vitro.ME-THODS:Themethod of amino acid starvation to induce autophagy was used.The expression of CD147 was detected by Western blotting.To study the functional effects of CD147 on autophagy in prostate cancer PC-3 cells, the down-regulation of CD147 expression was induced by the technique of RNAi.The conversion of autophagic marker protein LC3-I to LC3-II was determined by Western blotting.The cell death after starvation-induced autophagy was analyzed by trypan blue exclu-sion assay.RESULTS:The CD147 expression gradually increased in starvation-induced autophagy.The down-regulation of CD147 significantly increased the expression of autophagy-related protein LC3-II compared with control group.Mean-while, the cell death rates increased from (19.3 ±3.1)%and (22.3 ±3.5)%in control groups to (38.4 ±3.1)%in si-lencing the expression of CD147 in the PC-3 cells (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:CD147 inhibits starvation-induced auto-phgy and autophagy death in the prostate cancer PC-3 cells.

PurposeAdrenal schwannoma is rare and quite difficult to diagnose before operation. This paper aims to analyze the CT findings of adrenal schwannoma to improve the recognition and diagnosis of this disease.Materials and Methods The CT findings of 6 patients with adrenal schwannomas proved by operation and pathology were retrospectively analyzed.Results Four schwannomas were located in the right adrenal and 2 in the left adrenal. The tumors, with diameters ranging from 3.0 cm to 6.4 cm, mean (4.5±1.3) cm, had well-defined margin. The densities of all the masses were close to or slightly lower than those of kidneys on plain scan images, with mean CT attenuation value of (32±7) HU. Three masses showed homogeneous density and the other 3 were mildly heterogeneous with patches of lower density. All the 6 schwannomas were enhanced mildly or moderately after intravenous administration of contrast material and showed gradual enhancement mode. They showed mild homogeneous or flocculent enhancement on arterial phase and had gradual progress on venous and delayed phases. The mean increase of CT attenuation value was (13±2) HU on arterial phase, (18±4) HU on venous phase and (23±4) HU on delayed phase. Only 1 mass showed some patches of cystic degeneration without enhancement inside.Conclusion Adrenal schwannoma should be included in the differential diagnosis of solid nonfunctioning adrenal tumors. Features such as relatively homogeneous mass, mild to moderate enhancement and gradual enhancement mode after contrast enhancement are possibly the unique CT manifestations of adrenal schwannoma.

Objective To evaluate the interference of ALP on cTnI assays. Methods One normal mixed plasma sample and 2 abnormal mixed plasma samples with different cTnI levels were prepared, and then divided them into 8 groups respectively. One group was randomly chosen as control while different amounts of ALP were added into the other seven groups. The concentrations of cTnI and ALP in each plasma portion were detected by ACCESS2 (Beckman-Coulter, Inc ) and AXSYM (Abbott Laboratories )separately. The results of the seven tested groups were then compared with those of the control, so as to evaluate whether ALP could interfere with the cTnI assay. Results When the chemiluminescent Access cTnI assay was carried out for detection of normal plasma, the concentration of ALP was up to 3 716 U/L and did not interfere with the test results of cTnI [(0. 04 ±0.01) μg/L] compared with those of the control portion [(0. 04 ± 0. 01 ) μg/L] (t = 0. 40, P ＞ 0. 05 ). Once the concentration of ALP went beyond 917 U/L, the AXSYM cTnI assay results [( 0.08 ± 0. 01 ) μg/L] were higher than those of the normal control ( t =-4. 89, P＜0. 01 ); When the concentration of ALP was up to 3 534 U/L, the test results of abnormal plasma cTnI detected by the Access assay [( 13.41 ±0. 17) μg/L] did not show significant differences from those of the control [(13.48±0.16) μg/L] (t=0. 52,P＞0.05).Conclusions High concentration ofALP did not interfere with the Access cTnI assay or lead to false positive results. However, the high level of ALP( ＞ 917 U/L) could interfere with the AXSYM cTnI assay and cause a false positive result.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the relative association of soft tissue tension and cervical physiological curvature chang in patients with scapula muscle fasciitis.

METHODSFrom February 2012 to December 2012,29 patients with scapula muscle fasciitis were investigated. There were 10 males and 19 females with an average age of 27.77 years old (ranged from 22 to 40 years old). Routine AP and lateral cervical X-rays were done in all patients. Cervical lordosis was measured according to Borden's method and the pain point tension was measured by soft tissue tension meter. Finally,perform statistic analysis to bove data.

RESULTSLateral X-rays showed 9 cases were normal cervical lordosis, 18 cases were cervical lordosis decreased, 2 cases were cervical lordosis increased. The regression equation of cerical lordosis changes D(Y) and soft tissue tension displacement D0.5 kg (X) was Y = -15.069 + 3.673X.

CONCLUSIONThere is linear relationship between soft tissue tension and cervical physiological curvature change. With the soft tissue tension increases, the cervical lordosis trend to decrease.
