Objective To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with language training on subcortical aphasia. Methods 32 cases in treatment group and 26 cases in control group were given routine medication,in addition, treatment goup accepted acupuncture and language training. Results After 4 weeks of treatment, patients' language function improved significantly in treatment group compared with that of control(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 87.5% in treatment group, while it was 61.5% in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with language training is effective on subcortical aphasia.

Objective To observe the effect of acupoint application of Chinese medicine on preventing constipation after stroke. Methods By means of randomized, double-blind, controlled study design, 96 patients of yang-syndrome stroke were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 48 cases in each group. Both groups were given conventional treatment for stroke and routine nursing for preventing constipation, and additionally, the control group was given acupoint application of placebo while the observation group was given acupoint application of self-made umbilical paste of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei(Dahuang) and Natrii Sulfas (Mangxiao). The incidence of constipation, frequency of laxative usage and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed. Results (1) The incidence of constipation of the observation group was lower than the control group on treatment day 7 and 14 , the difference being statistical significant(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).(2)On treatment day 7 and 14, the Bristol scores of stool properties of observation group were increased compared with those before treatment(P < 0.05), but the changes of scores in the control group were insignificant(P > 0.05). The observation group had better effect on improving stool properties(P < 0.05).(3) The frequency of use of laxatives was reduced in the observation group compared with the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05).(4) The incidence of adverse reaction was 6.25%in the control group and was 8.333%in the observation group, the difference being insignificant (P>0.05). The adverse reaction of both groups was mild, and had no effect on the accomplishment of the treatment. Conclusion Acupoint application of Chinese medicine is effective and safe on preventing constipation after stroke, showing good prospects for clinical application.

Objective To assess the clinical value of lung ultrasound (LUS) B-lines in diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) associated interstitial lung diseases (RA-ILD).Methods Forty-five consecutive patients with RA who underwent a high resolution computed tomography (HRCT) scan of the chest, were also examined by LUS for detection of B-lines(within 1 month independently in all patients). The B-lines score was obtained by summing the number of total 50 inter-costal spaces (ICSs) of chest wall.Pulmonary fibrosis was quantified by HRCT as previously described by the 30-point Warrick score. Results B-lines score significantly correlated with the Warrick score [(r=0.778,95%CI(0.627,0.872),P<0.05].Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve confirmed that B-lines cut-off point 77[sensitivity of 100%,specificity of 64.3% respectively, area under curve [AUC] =0.86,95%CI(0.724,0.945)] and 108[sensitivity of 90%,specificity of 88.6% respectively,AUC=0.879,95%CI(0.747,0.957)] had an optimal power to discriminate mild (Warrick score<8) and severe fibrosis (Warrick score>15):Conclusion The data confirm that LUS is a useful technique to identify ILD in RA.In RA-ILD,B-lines correlate significantly with HRCT and are able to identify mild and severe degree of fibrosis.LUS is a promising non-invasive and non-ionizing strategy for screening RA-ILD.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the subjective symptoms of eyes induced by laser radiation in workers and its related influencing factors. METHODS: A total of 82 workers exposed to laser radiation were taken as exposure group, and 71 workers without laser radiation exposure as control group by judgment sampling method. The questionnaire survey and subjective symptoms of eyes were surveyed in these two groups. The work-site surveys of laser radiation job posts and laser irradiation testing were conducted to evaluate the exposure level of laser radiation on each post. The basic eye use and eye discomfort symptoms were investigated. RESULTS: The median of the laser radiation in 12 workplaces was 2.18×10~(-5) W/cm~2, and it was below occupational exposure limit(2.22×10~(-3) W/cm~2). The total detection rate of subjective discomfort of eyes in the exposed group was significantly higher than that in the control group(35.4% vs 15.5%, P<0.05). The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that laser exposure and smoking were the risk factors of subjective symptoms of eyes(P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Laser radiation operation has the risk of causing the subjective symptoms of eyes in exposed workers.
