Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1984;20(1):59-64
Pulmonary sequestration , defined as loss of connection of the lung tissue with bronchial tree and withpulmonary artery receiving its artery supply from the systemic artery, is very rare cngenital pulmonary disease. It presents as two types, intralobular or extralobular differentiated by its location. 6 cases of pulmonarysequestrations hve been diagnosed in Seoul National University Hospital. 5 cases were confirmed pathologicallyafter lobectomy. 1 case was diagnosed with cardiac cineangiogram only. The results are as follows; 1. 4 cases hadclinical histories of pulmonary sepsis. 2 cases had cardiac problems without suspicion of the lung problem. 2. 4cases are male and 2 cases are female. 3. Ages of the patients are distributed from 2 months of age to 15 years ofage. 4. 4 cases are angiographically confirmed preoperatively. 2 cases had no suspicion of pulmonary sequestrationpreoperatively. 5. 3 cases are associated wtih cardiovascular anomalies such as right sided aortic arch, pulmonarystenosis, complicated heart disease. 6. 5 cases- operatively proven-have intralobar types with cystic change. 7.CT was performed in one case who shows left lower lobe area mass with air bronchogram.

197 spine CTs were performed from 29th, March 1982 to 7th March, 1984. Among them, 39 patients preoperatively diagnosed as herniated nucleus pulposus ar bulging disc with CT and myelography were operated. 43 disc spaces ofdisc disease were analysed in true positive and false negative cases. Finally the accuracy, sensitivity and specifictiy of spine CT and myelography ar calculated. The resuslts are as follows; 1. The CT findings of disc diseases are in order of frequency, asymmetrical obliteration of epidural fat (82%), ventral indentation orcompression on dural sac(72%), focal protrusion of disc(64%), root changs

We report a case of juvenile xanthogranuloma associated with neurofibromatosis. The patient was a 10-month-old female who had multiple yellowish papules on the face and shoulders A Biopsy of these lesions revealed foamy histiocytes with an admixture of inflammatory cells and Touton giant cells. Multiple, more than 6, cafe-au-lait spots, measuring more than 1.5cm in diameter were scattered on the trunk and buttocks Retardation of physical growth and development was observed.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1994;31(4):749-752
Pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma(PXA) is a benign brain tumor with favorable prognosis in spite of its marked pleomorphism. We report a case with review of the literature. An eight-year-old boy presented with headache and vomiting. Plain skull X-ray showed findings of increased intracranial pressure. The MR imaging demonstrated superficially located large cystic mass with a Iobulated mural nodule in the left frontal lobe. The mural nodule abutting leptomeninges showed intense enhancement on postcontrast Tl-weighted images, but the cyst wall was not enhanced. Preoperative diagnosis of PXA with the MRI findings could lead to avoidance of more aggressive brain resection and therefore more favorable neurological outcome
