1.Incidence of amblyopia in preschool children and correlation factors in Bao'an District of Shenzhen
International Eye Science 2018;18(12):2297-2300
AIM: To investigate the incidence of amblyopia in preschool children and correlation factors in Bao'an District of Shenzhen so that to provide possible basis for the prevention of regional amblyopia.
METHODS: Totally 818 preschoolers with visual acuity screening were selected and studied from June 2017 to February 2018 in our Hospital. The incidence of amblyopia in children was recorded with the amblyopia diagnostic criteria and they were treated as observation groups. The others were treated as controls. The single factor and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were performed for the two groups.
RESULTS:The incidence of amblyopia in preschool children in Bao'an District of Shenzhen was 5.7%(47/818). Among them, ametropic amblyopia was the most common(63.8%), the second was anisometropic amblyopia(21.3%), the third was strabismic amblyopia(12.8%)and in the end was form deprivation amblyopia(2.1%). By single factor analysis: there were statistically significant differences between two groups for the correlation factors of gestational age, gravidity and parity history, gestational weeks and nearsightedness(amblyopia)family history(P<0.05). By multivariate Logistic regression analysis: the older gestational age, more gravidity and parity, shorter gestational weeks and positive nearsightedness(amblyopia)family history were the highest risk factor for children with amblyopia(P<0.05).
CONCLUSION: The incidence of amblyopia in preschool children in Bao'an District of Shenzhen is high and it should be taken seriously. In the meantime, there are many influencing factors. But comprehensive preschool vision screening is an effective method for early discovery, early diagnosis and early treatment.

OBJECTIVETo study the changes of platelet in May-Hegglin anomaly (MHA) and the molecular pathogenesis mechanism.
METHODSPeripheral blood was drawn from the MHA proband, her father and her uncle. Platelet count and morphology were examined by automatic blood cell counter and microscopy, respectively. The platelet membrane protein was examined by flow cytometry. Membrane antibodies were determined by ELISA. PCR was used to amplify the exons 25, 31 approximately 32, 38 and 40 of the MYH 9 gene in the MHA patient and her diseased father. Furthermore, PCR products were sequenced, a specific point mutation was identified and inclusions (Dohle's body) in the neutrophil was detected by indirect immunofluorescence technique.
RESULTSIt was proved that in MHA patients, platelet count was higher by cell counter than by microscope (P < 0.01). Giant platelet was 94% but platelet membrane proteins (CD41, CD61, CD42A, CD42b) were in normal range. Membrane antibodies was undetectable. An A5521G mutation (GAG-->AAG) in the exon 38 was found in the proband and her diseased father, resulting in a characteristic change of NMMHC-A1841 (Glutamic acid-->Arginine), which was not found in other members of the family and in normal controls. Spindle-like inclusions with fluorescence were clearly displayed in neutrophil cytoplasm.
CONCLUSIONThe molecular pathogenesis mechanism of May-Hegglin anomaly is the mutation in MYH 9 gene.

OBJECTIVETo observe the serological and epidemiological efficacy of hemorrhagic fever renal syndrome (HFRS) vaccine in Zhejiang province.
METHODSImmunofluorescent antibody assay and Mcro-CPE method were used to test specific IgG antibody and the titer of neutralizing antibody.
RESULTSTwo weeks after the injection of the third dose, the sero-conversion rates by both immunofluorescent antibody test (IgG) and neutralization test were 100.0% (67/67) (95% CI: 96.3 - 100.0) and 44.4% (8/18)(95% CI: 22.0 - 69.0) with geometric mean titers (GMTs) 72.1 and 4.6 respectively. The rates of seroconversion of immunofluorescent antibody by immunofluorescence antibody assay (IFA) were 28.6%, 83.3%, 75.0%, 53.1%, 22.6%, 10.0% and 55.0% before reinforcement, two weeks, one year, one year and a half years, two years, three years and five years after reinforcement. The rates of neutralizing antibody seroconversion by the Mcro-CPE method were found as 14.8%, 55.6%, 35.0%, 31.3%, 26.0%, 10.0% and 50.0% respectively. We found some antibody dependent immunization enhancement phenomenon among the inoculated population, but further observation was needed.
CONCLUSIONHFRS vaccine was immunologically effective and the duration of serous antibody last long.

OBJECTIVE:
To explore the postoperative effect of auricular acupuncture on primipara with cesarean in order to promote postpartum rehabilitation.
METHODS:
A total of 120 primiparas with cesarean were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 60 cases in each group. The routine treatment and care after surgery were given in the two groups. On the basis treatment, auricular acupuncture was applied at penqiang (TF), shenmen (TF), jiaogan (AH), pizhixia (AT), neishengzhiqi(TF), pi(CO), wei(CO) in the observation group, even-needling technique at all points. The needles were retained for 30 min, 3 times a day, the acupuncture was alternately every other day for 5 days continuously. The postpartum pain, anus exhaust time, incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, urinary retention and constipation, and postpartum average hospitalization day were recorded and compared between the two groups.
RESULTS:
Twenty-seven cases of postpartum uterine contraction pain (45.0%), 25 cases of wound pain (41.7%), 19 cases of breast distending pain (31.7%) and 11 cases of muscle soreness (18.3%) in the observation group, which was significantly lower than 38 cases (63.3%), 36 cases (60.0%), 30 cases (50.0%) and 21 cases (35.0%) respectively in the control group (<0.05). The anus exhaust time in the observation group was earlier than that in the control group (<0.05), and the average hospitalization time was shorter than that in the control group (<0.05). The incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, urinary retention and constipation in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (<0.05).
CONCLUSION
Auricular acupuncture can effectively relieve postpartum pain in primipara with cesarean, promote postpartum exhaust and shorten hospitalization days, and reduce the incidence of postpartum complications such as postpartum hemorrhage, urinary retention and constipation, it is conducive to postpartum rehabilitation.
