1.Study of the degree in white matter structural networks in the glioma based on diffusion tensor tractography.

At present, an effective detecting method for brain function impairment for the patients with the glioma is urgently needed in clinic, because it may help us understand its pathogenesis. This paper proposes a method of combining diffusion tensor tracing technology and 'small world' network. It utilizes the degree of brain function network to study complex network topological properties of the patients with the glioma in temporal lobe area. The experimental results showed that the brain networks of the patients with the glioma of different grades were destroyed compared with those of the normal persons, but the destruction degree is independent of the tumor grades. The distribution of functional connections is index truncated power-law accompanied by significant heterogeneity. Meanwhile, the stronger functional areas of information in the glioma have transferred and there exists lack of language function area and sensory function area.

3.Effects of Rhizoma Zingiberis Extract on Cardiac Functions of Rabbits Models of Heart Failure

Objective To investigate the effects of Rhizoma Zingiberis Extract (RZE) on the cardiac functions of rabbits with heart failure. Methods Forty pure-bred New-Zealand rabbits were randomly allocated to 4 groups: control group, low-dosage RZE group, moderate-dosage RZE group and high-dosage RZE group. The rabbit model of heart failure was established by intravenous dripping of 20 g/L pentobarbital sodium. Oral tube perfusion of RZE was given after model establishment.The hemodynamic changes were observed before and after the modeling and 5,10,15,20,30,45,60,90,120,150 minutes after treatment by a RM-6000 4-graph physiological monitor. 4.Sexually Transmitted Diseases in Pregnant Women

OBJECTIVE To understand the pathogens of sexually transmitted diseases in pregnant women.METHODS Polymerase chain reaction(PCR) technology was taken to detect out Neisseria gonorrhoeae,Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealytium.RESULTS Among 984 pregnant women 343 were positive(34.9%).Different census register and education background of pregnant women showed significant difference.CONCLUSIONS Attention should be taken for pregnant women to prevent spreading the diseases.
5.The students' satisfaction degree and cognitive attitude of the network construction of elaborate course of social medicine

Objective This study aimed to survey students' satisfaction and cognitive attitude of elaborate course of social medicine to provide a basis for exploring appropriate teaching mode. Methods Purposive sampling was used with questionnaire to survey 646 students who had learned social medicine in 5 universities in Guangdong province. The survey included the social medicine curriculum, teaching situation, students' satisfaction and cognitive attitude of elaborate course of so-cial medicine. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to describe the demographic characteristics and curriculum. The t test and one-way ANOVA were used to compare the means of students' satisfaction and cognitive attitude of elaborate course in different universities, using the test level of 0.05. Results The lecture-based learning was the main teaching mode. 335(52.7%) students thought it necessary to learn social medicine, but only 27.2%of the students(173 students) were interested in social medicine and 65(10.2%) students could take the initiative to read about extracurricular books. Overall satisfac-tion with using network resources of elaborate course in two universities that had university-level elab-orate course of social medicine were (2.78 ± 0.55) and (3.01 ± 0.30) respectively and the difference was statistically significant(t=-3.97,P<0.01). The cognitive attitude of the students in 5 universities with using network resources of elaborate course was (3.09±0.66) and the difference was statistically significant(F=3.70,P<0.01). Conclusion Social medicine teaching has been paid attention to in 5 universities, but there were some common problems: ①putting emphasis on theory and ignoring prac-tice in teaching mode; ②putting emphasis on credit and ignoring effectiveness in learning; ③and putting emphasis on construction and ignoring using in network resources of elaborate course of social medicine.
6.Analysis of saponins in Panax notoginseng by UPLC-LTQ-Orbitrap MS/MS.

A method for qualitative analysis of constituents in Panax notoginseng by UPLC-LTQ-Orbitrap mass spectrometry was established. Based on the high-resolution mass information, MS/MS fragmentation behaviors and chemical components from literatures, 43 compounds were identified or tentatively characterized. New type saponin aglycone, combined with malonyl-substituted and acetyl-substituted saponins were discovered and plausibly identified in this study. This work could be helpful for the quality control and further phytochemical studies of Panax notoginseng, and provided a good example for the analysis of chemical constituents in traditional Chinese medicine.
7. Effect and related mechanisms of RTA-408 on rat vascular smooth muscle cell calcification induced by advanced glycation end products

Objective:
To investigate the effect and related mechanisms of RTA-408 on rat vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) calcification induced by advanced glycation end products(AGE).
Methods:
VSMCs were isolated from the aorta of Sprague Dawley rats and cultured in vitro. The fifth generation of VSMCs were randomly divided into 4 groups with random number table including control group(cells were incubated with normal medium for 2 days, then incubated with bovine serum albumin for 5 days),AGE group (cells were incubated with normal medium for 2 days, then incubated with 200 mg/L AGE for 5 days), experimental group(cells were incubated with 100 nmol/L RTA-408 for 2 days,then incubated with 200 mg/L AGE for 5 days),and RTA group(cells were incubated with 100 nmol/L RTA-408 for 2 days,then incubated with bovine serum albumin for 5 days). Cytosolic calciumin VSMC was measured using arsenazo Ⅲ assay. Von Kossa staining was utilized to detect the calcium deposition.The contents of malondialdehyde(MDA) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) in VSMCs were tested by appropriate kits.The protein expressions of osteopontin (OPN), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), nuclear factor E2 related factor 2(Nrf2), and NAD(P)H: quinone oxidoreductase 1(NQO1) were examined using Western blot.
