Objective To observe the clinical, neuropathogical, neurophysiological characteristics of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, type 1A (CMT1A) which was similar to chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy(CIDP).Methods The clinical data, neuroelectrophysiological changes and pathological features of sural nerve biopsy were taken from 2 CMT1A patients who were proven to be 17p12 duplication with CIDP features, and analyzed comprehensively. Results Two CMT1A cases with classical chronic course showed both subacute course and clinical manifestations similar to CIDP, however, the changes of neuroelectrophysiology and pathological characteristics of the nerve biopsy in 2 cases were different from CIDP in some way. We confirmed the chronic inflammatory demyelinating type of the CMT1A patients whom the immunotherapy was effective on.Conclusion The classical CMT1A 17p12 duplication patients who obtained immunotherapy effects might resemble CIDP both in clinical course and manifestation.

The dynamic characteristics of the area of the atrial septal defect (ASD) were evaluated using the technique of real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT 3DE),the potential factors re sponsible for the dynamic characteristics of the area of ASD were observed,and the overall and local volume and functions of the patients with ASD were measured,RT 3DE was performed on the 27 normal controls and 28 patients with ASD.Based on the three-dimensional data workstations,the area of ASD was measured at P wave vertex,R wave vertex,T wave starting point,and T wave terminal point and in the T-P section.The right atrial volume in the same time phase of the cardiac cycle and the motion displacement distance of the tricuspid annulus in the corresponding period were measured.The measured value of the area of ASD was analyzed.The changes in the right atrial volume and the motion displacement distance of the tricuspid annulus in the normal control group and the ASD group were compared.The right ventricular ejection fractions in the normal control group and the ASD group were compared using the RT 3DE long-axis eight-plane (LA 8-plane) method.Real-time three-dimensional volume imaging was performed in the normal control group and ASD group (n=30).The right ventricular inflow tract,outflow tract,cardiac apex muscular trabecula dilatation,end-systolic volume,overall dilatation,end-systolic volume,and appropriate local and overall ejection fractions in both two groups were measured with the four-dimensional right ventricular quantitative analysis method (4D RVQ) and compared.The overall right ventricular volume and the ejection fraction measured by the LA 8-plane method and 4D RVQ were subjected to a related analysis.Dynamic changes occurred to the area of ASD in the cardiac cycle.The rules for dynamic changes in the area of ASD and the rules for changes in the right atrial volume in the cardiac cycle were consistent.The maximum value of the changes in the right atrial volume occurred in the end-systolic period when the peak of the curve appeared.The minimum value of the changes occurred in the end-systolic period and was located at the lowest point of the volume variation curve.The area variation curve for ASD and the motion variation curve for the tricuspid annulus in the cardiac cycle were the same.The displacement of the tricuspid annulus exhibited directionality.The measured values of the area of ASD at P wave vertex,R wave vertex,T wave starting point,T wave terminal point and in the T-P section were properly correlated with the right atrial volume (P＜0.001).The area of ASD and the motion displacement distance of the tricuspid annulus were negatively correlated (P＜0.05).The right atrial volumes in the ASD group in the cardiac cycle in various time phases increased significantly as compared with those in the normal control group (P=0.0001).The motion displacement distance of the tricuspid annulus decreased significantly in the ASD group as compared with that in the normal control group (P=0.043).The right ventricular ejection fraction in the ASD group was lower than that in the normal control group (P=0.032).The ejection fraction of the cardiac apex trabecula of the ASD patients was significantly lower than the ejection fractions of the right ventricular outflow tract and inflow tract and overall ejection fraction.The difference was statistically significant (P=0.005).The right ventricular local and overall dilatation and end-systolic volumes in the ASD group increased significantly as compared with those in the normal control group (P=0.031).The aRVEF and the overall ejection fraction decreased in the ASD group as compared with those in the normal control group (P=0.0005).The dynamic changes in the area of ASD and the motion curves for the right atrial volume and tricuspid annulus have the same dynamic characteristics.RT 3DE can be used to accurately evaluate the local and overall volume and functions of the right ventricle.The local and overall volume loads of the right ventricle in the ASD patients increase significantly as compared with those of the normal people.The right ventricular cardiac apex and the overall systolic function decrease.

Objective To evaluate the relationship between Multi-slices spiral(MSCT) perfusion and microvessel density (MVD) in maxillofacial tumors. Methods Thirty-one cases of maxillofacial tumors were studied with MSCT perfusion imaging before operation. The time-density curve, perfusion, time to peak(TTP), and Peak enhancement imaging (PEI) of tumors were calculated. MVD of the tumors was measured with immuno-histochemical method by means of detecting factor Ⅷ in all the histologic specimens. Relativity analysis was carried between MSCT perfusion imaging parameters, perfusion curve types and MVD. Results MVD of maxillofacial tumors were higher than normal tissue. Objective:To investigate the model,quality as well as effect of teaching-in-English in five-year clinical medicine program of Hainan Medical University.Methods:The questionnaire was carried out among clinical medicine undergraduates of 2012-2015 grades in Hainan Medical University,to investigate studying time,studying habits and the impact of teaching in English.Additionally results of CET-4,CET-6 and overseas internship from undergraduates of 2012-2015 grade,as well as the result of phased medical licensing examination and post-graduate entrance examination from undergraduates of 2012 were accordingly collected from the Teaching Management Department.Results:For the Chinese students in international classes,the average time of self-study was 161.49 min,58.3％ had preview before classes,and 90.7％ had habit of review after classes.Thus the first time pass rate,total pass rate,first time excellent rate and total excellent rate of CET-4 and CET-6 of international classes were significantly higher than those of regular classes.The result of post-graduate entrance examination in 2016 showed that the score,pass rate and acceptance rate of international classes of 2012 grade were significantly higher those of regular classes (P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions:Teaching-in-English reform in Hainan Medical University has achieved initial success.Chinese students from international classes are superior to those from regular classes in many aspects.However,there are still many problems,and effective measures should be implemented to promote teaching quality continuously.

Objective To explore sub-clinical items in evaluating the prognosis of epileptic patients,the study on differences of regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) in both effective treated and incomplete-controlled patients with idiopathic generalized tonic clonic seizure (GTCS) was carried out.Methods Interictal rCBF measurements using 99m Tc-ethyl cysteinates dimmer (ECD) SPECT was performed on 29 effective treated idiopathic GTCS patients and 12 incomplete controlled idiopathic GTCS patients. Objective To investigate the role of ?7nAChR in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease(AD)through exploring the relationship between ?7nAChR and A?_(1-42) in AD brains.Methods The accumulation of ?7nAChR and the possible relationship between ?7nAChR and A?_(1-42) were observed in 3 clinically and pathologically confirmed AD brains by immunohistochemistry. 3 normal brains were set as controls.Results Respective staining of anti-?7nAChR and anti-A?_(1-42) showed that the abnormal accumulation of ?7nAChR existed in AD brains. The main location was at hippocampus and temporal cortex which was just in accordance with senile plaque consisted mainly of A?_(1-42). The major part of ?7nAChR was located extra-cellular and within senile plaque from the view of morphology. No accumulation of ?7nAChR existed in normal brains. Co-staining of anti-?7nAChR and anti-A?_(1-42) further showed that ?7nAChR and A?_(1-42) could accumulate together in senile plaque of AD brain. The average rate of positive co-staining in hippocampus, temporal lobe and frontal lobe is 57.8%, 51.0% and 21.8% respectively. The accumulation of ?7nAChR in hippocampus and temporal lobe seems much than that in the frontal lobe. Conclusion ?7nAChR may combine with A?_(1-42) in AD brains. It is suggested that the combination should destroy the ?7nAChR receptor, block the receptor or mediate the injury of cholinergic neurons with the result of recognition and memory impairment and that ?7nAChR might play an important role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease.

Objective To demonstrate the carbonic anhydrase Ⅲ (CAⅢ) for 25 000 protein decreased in skeletal muscle of myasthenia gravis (MG). Methods The protein molecular properties responsible to antibodies against 25 000 protein and CAⅢ were analyzed by a combination method of two-dimensional electrophoresis and immuno-Western blot. Competitive binding reactions of the antibodies to the purified 25 000 protein and muscular homogenate were observed by using immuno-Dot blot and immuno-Western blot, respectively. The expression of CAⅢ from normal and MG muscles was detected by immuno-Western blot. Results Combination analysis of two-dimensional electrophoresis and immuno-Western blot showed that the protein of immunological responsible to antibodies against 25 000 protein and CAⅢ had an identical molecular mass and isoelectric point. Competitive binding reactions proved that 25 000 protein and CAⅢ were the same substance, either by immuno-Dot blot or by immuno-Western blot. In addition, a much similar result was obtained when the levels of 25 000 protein from normal and MG muscles were detected by antibodies against 25 000 protein and (CAⅢ) by immuno-Western blot. Conclusion 25 000 protein decreased in the MG skeletal muscle was proved to be just a known protein CAⅢ, which made a basis for further exploring the relationship of CAⅢ deficiency and MG pathogenesis.
